2And the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, “Thisהַזֶּה֩ha.ZehH2088gateהַשַּׁ֣עַרha.Sha.'arH8179shall be shutסָג֨וּרsa.GurH5462;it shall not be openedיִפָּתֵ֗חַyi.pa.Te.achH6605,and noH3808oneוְאִישׁ֙ve.'IshH376shall enterיָ֣בֹאYa.vo'H935by it, for theLordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478has enteredבָּ֣אba'H935by it; therefore it shall be shutסָגֽוּר׃sa.GurH5462.
3As for theprinceהַנָּשִׂ֗יאha.na.Si'H5387,he shall sitיֵֽשֶׁב־ye.shev-H3427in it as princeנָ֥שִׂיאNa.si'H5387toeatלֶאֱכָלle.'e.khol-H398breadלֶ֖חֶםLe.chemH3899beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068; he shallenterיָב֔וֹאya.Vo'H935by wayמִדֶּ֨רֶךְmi.De.rekhH1870of theporchאֻלָ֤ם'u.LamH197of the gateהַשַּׁ֙עַר֙ha.Sha.'arH8179and shall goיֵצֵֽא׃ye.Tze'H3318outH3318by the same wayוּמִדַּרְכּ֖וֹu.mi.dar.KoH1870.”
4Then He broughtוַיְבִיאֵ֜נִיvay.vi.'E.niH935me by wayדֶּֽרֶךְ־de.rekh-H1870of thenorthהַצָּפוֹן֮ha.tza.fOnH6828gateשַׁ֣עַרSha.'arH8179to the frontפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the houseהַבַּיִת֒ha.ba.YitH1004;and I lookedוָאֵ֕רֶאva.'E.re'H7200,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009, thegloryכְבוֹד־khe.Vod-H3519of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068filledמָלֵ֥אma.Le'H4390the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, and Ifellוָאֶפֹּ֖לva.'e.PolH5307on my faceפָּנָֽי׃pa.NaiH6440.
5And the Lordיְהֹוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, “Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֡ם'a.DamH120,payשִׂ֣יםsimH7760attentionלִבְּךָ֩li.be.KhaH3820,seeוּרְאֵ֨הu.re.'EhH7200with your eyesבְעֵינֶ֜יךָve.'ei.Nei.khaH5869and hearשְּׁמָ֗עshe.Ma'H8085with your earsוּבְאָזְנֶ֣יךָu.ve.'a.ze.Nei.khaH241everythingכָּל־kol-H3605that I sayמְדַבֵּ֣רme.da.BerH1696to you concerning allלְכָל־le.kholH3605thestatutesחֻקּ֥וֹתchu.KotH2708of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068and allוּלְכָל־u.le.khol-H3605its lawsתּֽוֹרֹתָ֑יוto.ro.tovH8451; andpayוְשַׂמְתָּ֤ve.sam.TaH7760attentionלִבְּךָ֙li.be.KhaH3820to the entranceלִמְב֣וֹאlim.Vo'H3996of the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,with allבְּכֹ֖לbe.KholH3605the exitsמוֹצָאֵ֥יmo.tza.'EiH4161of the sanctuaryהַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃ha.mik.DashH4720.
6You shall sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֤ve.'a.mar.TaH559to therebelliousH4805onesH4805,to the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559: “Enoughרַב־rav-H7227of allמִֽכָּל־mi.kolH3605your abominationsתּוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖םto.'a.vo.tei.KhemH8441,houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478,
7when you broughtH935inH935foreignersבְּנֵֽי־ נֵכָ֗רbe.nei- ne.KharH1121H5236,uncircumcisedעַרְלֵי־'ar.lei-H6189in heartלֵב֙levH3820and uncircumcisedוְעַרְלֵ֣יve.'ar.LeiH6189in fleshבָשָׂ֔רva.SarH1320,to be in My sanctuaryבְּמִקְדָּשִׁ֖יbe.mik.da.ShiH4720to profaneלְחַלְּל֣וֹle.cha.le.LoH2490it, My houseבֵּיתִ֑יbei.TiH1004, when youofferedבְּהַקְרִֽיבְכֶ֤םbe.hak.ri.ve.KhemH7126My foodלַחְמִי֙lach.MiH3899,the fatחֵ֣לֶבChe.levH2459,and the bloodוָדָ֔םva.DamH1818and theybrokeוַיָּפֵ֙רוּ֙vai.ya.Fe.ruH6565My covenantבְּרִיתִ֔יbe.ri.TiH1285--thisinH413additionH413toH413allכָּל־kol-H3605your abominationsתּוֹעֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃to.'a.vo.tei.KhemH8441.
8And you have nottakenשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖םshe.mar.TemH8104responsibilityמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶתmish.Me.retH4931for My holyקָדָשָׁ֑יka.da.ShaiH6944thingsH6944yourselves, but you have appointedוַתְּשִׂימ֗וּןva.te.si.MunH7760foreignersto takeלְשֹׁמְרֵ֧יle.sho.me.ReiH8104responsibilityמִשְׁמַרְתִּ֛יmish.mar.TiH4931for My sanctuaryבְּמִקְדָּשִׁ֖יbe.mik.da.ShiH4720.”
9‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068saysאָמַר֮'a.MarH559: “Noכָּל־ לֹ֥אkol- lo'H3605H3808foreignerבֶּן־ נֵכָ֗רben- ne.KharH1121H5236uncircumcisedעֶ֤רֶל'E.relH6189in heartלֵב֙levH3820and uncircumcisedוְעֶ֣רֶלve.'E.relH6189in fleshבָּשָׂ֔רba.SarH1320,of allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the foreignersבֶּן־ נֵכָ֔רben- ne.KharH1121H5236whoאֲשֶׁ֕ר'a.SherH834are amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478,shall enterיָב֖וֹאya.Vo'H935My sanctuaryמִקְדָּשִׁ֑יmik.da.ShiH4720.
10But the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֗םhal.vi.YimH3881whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834wentH7368farH7368from Me when Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478wentH8582astrayבִּתְע֤וֹתbit.'otH8582,whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834wentH8582astrayתָּע֣וּta.'UH8582from Mefollowingאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310their idolsגִּלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֑םgi.lu.lei.HemH1544, shallsufferוְנָשְׂא֖וּve.na.se.'UH5375the punishmentH5771forH5771their wrongdoingH5771.
11Yet they shall beministersמְשָׁ֣רְתִ֔יםme.Sha.re.TimH8334in My sanctuaryבְמִקְדָּשִׁי֙ve.mik.da.ShiH4720, havingoversightפְּקֻדּוֹת֙pe.ku.dOtH6486at the gatesשַׁעֲרֵ֣יsha.'a.ReiH8179of the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004andministeringוּֽמְשָׁרְתִ֖יםu.me.sha.re.TimH8334inthe houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004; they shallslaughterיִשְׁחֲט֨וּyish.cha.TuH7819the burntהָעֹלָ֤הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930and the sacrificeהַזֶּ֙בַח֙ha.Ze.vachH2077for the peopleלָעָ֔םla.'AmH5971, and they shallstandיַעַמְד֥וּya.'am.DuH5975beforeלִפְנֵיהֶ֖םlif.nei.HemH6440them to ministerלְשָֽׁרְתָֽם׃le.Sha.re.TamH8334to them.
12Sinceיַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֨רYa.'an 'a.SherH3282H834they ministeredיְשָׁרְת֤וּye.sha.re.TuH8334to thembeforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440their idolsגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֔םgi.lu.lei.HemH1544and becameוְהָי֥וּve.ha.YuH1961astumblingH4383blockלְמִכְשׁ֣וֹלle.mikh.SholH4383of wrongdoingH5771to the houseלְבֵֽית־le.veit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,forH5921thatH5921H3651reasonH5921H3651I haveswornנָשָׂ֨אתִי יָדִ֜יna.Sa.ti ya.DiH5375H3027againstH5921them,” declaresנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “that they shallsufferוְנָשְׂא֖וּve.na.se.'UH5375the punishmentH5771forH5771their wrongdoingH5771.
13And they shallnot approachיִגְּשׁ֤וּyi.ge.ShuH5066Me to serveלְכַהֵ֣ןle.kha.HenH3547asH3547priestsH3547for Me, norוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808approachוְלָגֶ֙שֶׁת֙ve.la.Ge.shetH5066anyכָּל־kol-H3605of My holyקָ֣דָשַׁ֔יka.da.ShaiH6944thingsקָדְשֵׁ֖יka.de.SheiH6944,to the thingsH6944that are mostH6944holyהַקְּדָשִׁ֑יםha.ke.da.ShimH6944; but they willbearוְנָֽשְׂאוּ֙ve.na.se.'UH5375their shameכְּלִמָּתָ֔םke.li.ma.TamH3639and their abominationsוְתוֹעֲבוֹתָ֖םve.to.'a.vo.TamH8441whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834they have committedעָשֽׂוּ׃'a.SuH6213.
14Nevertheless I willappointוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414them totakeשֹׁמְרֵ֖יsho.me.ReiH8104responsibilityמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶתmish.Me.retH4931for the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,of allלְכֹל֙le.KholH3605its serviceעֲבֹ֣דָת֔וֹa.Vo.da.ToH5656and of everythingוּלְכֹ֛לu.le.KholH3605that shall be doneיֵעָשֶׂ֖הye.'a.SehH6213in it.

15“But theLeviticalהַלְוִיִּ֜םhal.vi.YimH3881priestsוְהַכֹּהֲנִ֨יםve.ha.ko.ha.NimH3548,the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121ofZadokצָד֗וֹקtza.DokH6659,whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834tookשָׁמְר֜וּsha.me.RuH8104responsibilityמִשְׁמֶ֤רֶתmish.Me.retH4931for My sanctuaryמִקְדָּשִׁי֙mik.da.ShiH4720when the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478wentH8582astrayבִּתְע֤וֹתbit.'otH8582from Me, shall comeH7126nearH7126to Me to serveלְשָֽׁרְתֵ֑נִיle.sha.re.Te.niH8334Me; and they shallstandוְעָמְד֣וּve.'a.me.DuH5975beforeלְפָנַ֗יle.fa.NaiH6440Me to offerH7126Me thefatחֵ֣לֶבChe.levH2459and the bloodוָדָ֔םva.DamH1818,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.
17And it shall be that when they enterבְּבוֹאָם֙be.vo.'AmH935at the gatesשַׁעֲרֵי֙sha.'a.ReiH8179of the innerהַפְּנִימִ֔יתha.pe.ni.MitH6442courtyardהֶחָצֵ֣רhe.cha.TzerH2691,they shall be clothedיִלְבָּ֑שׁוּyil.Ba.shuH3847withlinenפִשְׁתִּ֖יםfish.TimH6593garmentsבִּגְדֵ֥יbig.DeiH899;and woolצֶ֔מֶרTze.merH6785shall notbe wornיַעֲלֶ֤הya.'a.LehH5927by them while they are ministeringבְּשָֽׁרְתָ֗םbe.sha.re.TamH8334in the gatesבְּשַׁעֲרֵ֛יbe.sha.'a.ReiH8179of the innerהַפְּנִימִ֖יתha.pe.ni.MitH6442courtyardהֶחָצֵ֥רhe.cha.TzerH2691or in the houseוָבָֽיְתָה׃va.Va.ye.tahH1004.
18Linenפִשְׁתִּים֙fish.TimH6593turbansפַּאֲרֵ֤יpa.'a.ReiH6287shall be on their headsרֹאשָׁ֔םro.ShamH7218andlinenפִשְׁתִּ֔יםfish.TimH6593undergarmentsוּמִכְנְסֵ֣יu.mikh.ne.SeiH4370shall be aroundH5921their waistsמָתְנֵיהֶ֑םma.te.nei.HemH4975;they shall not putH2296onH2296anything that makes themsweatבַּיָּֽזַע׃bai.Ya.za'H3154.
19And when they goוּ֠בְצֵאתָםU.ve.tze.tomH3318outH3318into the outerהַחִיצוֹנָ֜הha.chi.tzo.NahH2435courtyardהֶחָצֵ֨רhe.cha.TzerH2691,into the outerהַחִיצוֹנָה֮ha.chi.tzo.NahH2435courtyardהֶחָצֵ֣רhe.cha.TzerH2691to the peopleהָעָם֒ha.'AmH5971, they shalltakeH6584offH6584their garmentsבִּגְדֵיהֶ֗םbig.dei.HemH899in whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they have been ministeringמְשָׁרְתִ֣םme.sha.re.TimH8334and layוְהִנִּ֥יחוּve.hi.Ni.chuH5117them in the holyהַקֹּ֑דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944chambersבְּלִֽשְׁכֹ֣תbe.lish.KhotH3957;then they shall putוְלָֽבְשׁוּ֙ve.la.ve.ShuH3847onH3847otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312garmentsבְּגָדִ֣יםbe.ga.DimH899, so that they willnot transferH6942holinessH6942to the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971with their garmentsבְּבִגְדֵיהֶֽם׃be.vig.dei.HemH899.

24In a disputeרִ֗יבRivH7379they shall takeH5975their standיַעַמְד֣וּya.'am.DuH5975to judgeיִשְׁפְּט֑וּהוּyish.fe.tu.huH8199;they shall judgeH8199it according to My ordinancesH4941.They shall also keepיִשְׁמֹ֔רוּyish.Mo.ruH8104My lawsתּוֹרֹתַ֤יto.ro.TaiH8451and My statutesחֻקֹּתַי֙chu.ko.TaiH2708in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605Myappointedמוֹעֲדַ֣יmo.'a.DaiH4150feastsH4150, andsanctifyיְקַדֵּֽשׁוּ׃ye.ka.De.shuH6942My Sabbathsשַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖יsha.be.to.TaiH7676.
25They shall not goיָב֖וֹאya.Vo'H935to a deadמֵ֣תmetH4191personאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120to defileלְטָמְאָ֑הle.ta.me.'AhH2930themselves;howeverכִּ֣י אִם־ki 'im-H3588H518,for fatherלְאָ֡בle.'AvH1,for motherוּ֠לְאֵםU.le.'emH517,for sonוּלְבֵ֨ןu.le.VenH1121,for daughterוּלְבַ֜תu.le.VatH1323,for brotherלְאָ֗חle.'AchH251,or for a sisterוּלְאָח֛וֹתu.le.'a.ChotH269whoאֲשֶֽׁר־'a.Sher-H834has not hadהָיְתָ֥הha.ye.TahH1961a husbandלְאִ֖ישׁle.'IshH376,they may defileיִטַּמָּֽאוּ׃yi.ta.Ma.'uH2930themselves.

28“And it shall be regarding an inheritanceלְֽנַחֲלָ֔הle.na.cha.LahH5159for them, thatI am their inheritanceנַֽחֲלָתָ֑םna.cha.la.TamH5159;and you shall giveתִתְּנ֤וּti.te.NuH5414them noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808propertyוַאֲחֻזָּ֗הva.'a.chu.ZahH272in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478--I am their propertyאֲחֻזָּתָֽם׃'a.chu.za.TamH272.
