Grief over Egypt

2“Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֕ם'a.DamH120,prophesyהִנָּבֵא֙hi.na.Ve'H5012and sayוְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ve.'A.mar.taH559, ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559: “Wailהֵילִ֖ילוּhei.Li.luH3213, ‘Woeהָ֥הּhahH1929for the dayלַיּֽוֹם׃lai.YomH3117!’

3For the dayי֔וֹםYomH3117is nearקָר֣וֹבka.RovH7138, Indeed,the dayי֖וֹםYomH3117of the Lordלַֽיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068is nearוְקָר֥וֹבve.ka.RovH7138;It will be a dayי֣וֹםYomH3117ofcloudsעָנָ֔ן'a.NanH6051,A timeעֵ֥ת'etH6256of doomfor the nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471.

4A swordחֶ֙רֶב֙che.revH2719will comeוּבָאָ֥הu.va.'AhH935upon Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,And there will be tremblingחַלְחָלָה֙chal.cha.LahH2479inCushבְּכ֔וּשׁbe.KhushH3568;When the slainחָלָ֖לcha.LalH2491fallבִּנְפֹ֥לbin.FolH5307in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714, They willtakeוְלָקְח֣וּve.la.ke.ChuH3947away herwealthהֲמוֹנָ֔הּha.mo.NahH1995,And her foundationsיְסוֹדֹתֶֽיהָ׃ye.so.do.Tei.haH3247will be tornוְנֶהֶרְס֖וּve.ne.her.SuH2040downH2040.

5Cushכּ֣וּשׁkushH3568,Putוּפ֤וּטu.FutH6316,Ludוְלוּד֙ve.LudH3865,allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605ArabiaH6152,LibyaH3864and thepeopleוּבְנֵ֖יu.ve.NeiH1121of the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776that is in leagueהַבְּרִ֑יתha.be.RitH1285will fallיִפֹּֽלוּ׃ פyi.Po.luH5307with them by the swordבַּחֶ֥רֶבba.Che.revH2719.”

6‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the LordH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Indeed, those who supportסֹמְכֵ֣יso.me.KheiH5564Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714will fallוְנָֽפְלוּ֙ve.na.fe.LuH5307And the prideגְּא֣וֹןge.'onH1347of her powerעֻזָּ֑הּ'u.ZahH5797will comeוְיָרַ֖דve.ya.RadH3381downH3381;From Migdolמִמִּגְדֹּ֣לmi.mig.DolH4024toSyeneסְוֵנֵ֗הse.ve.NehH5482They will fallיִפְּלוּ־yi.pe.lu-H5307within her by the swordבַּחֶ֙רֶב֙ba.Che.revH2719,”Declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.

7“They will beH8074desolateH8074In themidstבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of the desolatedH8074landsאֲרָצ֣וֹת'a.ra.TzotH776;And her citiesוְעָרָ֕יוve.'a.RavH5892will beIn the midstבְּתוֹךְ־be.tokh-H8432of the devastatedנַחֲרָב֖וֹתna.cha.ra.VotH2717citiesעָרִ֥ים'a.RimH5892.

8And they willknowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,When I setבְּתִתִּי־be.ti.ti-H5414afireאֵ֣שׁ'eshH784in Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714And allכָּל־kol-H3605her helpersעֹזְרֶֽיהָ׃'o.ze.Rei.haH5826are brokenוְנִשְׁבְּר֖וּve.nish.be.RuH7665.

9On that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117messengersמַלְאָכִ֤יםmal.'a.KhimH4397will goיֵצְא֨וּye.tze.'UH3318outH3318from Me in shipsבַּצִּ֔יםba.TzimH6716to frightenלְהַחֲרִ֖ידle.ha.cha.RidH2729carefreeבֶּ֑טַחBe.tachH983Cushכּ֣וּשׁkushH3568; andtremblingחַלְחָלָ֤הchal.cha.LahH2479will comeוְהָיְתָ֨הve.ha.ye.TahH1961on them ason the dayבְּי֣וֹםbe.YomH3117of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;for beholdהִנֵּ֖הhi.NehH2009,it is comingבָּאָֽה׃ סba.'AhH935!”

11He and his peopleוְעַמּ֤וֹve.'a.MoH5971with him,The mostH6184ruthlessעָרִיצֵ֣י'a.ri.TzeiH6184of the nationsגוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471,Will be broughtH935inH935to destroyלְשַׁחֵ֣תle.sha.ChetH7843the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776;And they will drawH7385their swordsחַרְבוֹתָם֙char.vo.TamH2719againstעַל־'al-H5921Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714And fillוּמָלְא֥וּu.mal.'UH4390the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776with the slainחָלָֽל׃cha.LalH2491.

12Moreover, I will makeוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414theNileH2975canalsיְאֹרִים֙ye.'o.RimH2975dryחָֽרָבָ֔הcha.ra.VahH2724Andsellוּמָכַרְתִּ֥יu.ma.khar.TiH4376the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776into the handsבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of evilH7451menH7451.And I will makeH8074the landאֶ֤רֶץ'E.retzH776desolateH8074AndallH4393that is inH4393it,By the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of strangersזָרִ֔יםza.RimH2114;I the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068have spokenדִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃ סdi.Bar.tiH1696.”

14I will makeH8074Pathrosפַּתְר֔וֹסpat.RosH6624desolateH8074,Setוְנָתַ֥תִּיve.na.Ta.tiH5414a fireאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784inZoanבְּצֹ֑עַןbe.Tzo.'anH6814And executeוְעָשִׂ֥יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213judgmentsשְׁפָטִ֖יםshe.fa.TimH8201onThebesבְּנֹֽא׃be.No'H4996.

15I will pourוְשָׁפַכְתִּ֣יve.sha.fakh.TiH8210outH8210My wrathחֲמָתִ֔יcha.ma.TiH2534onSinסִ֖יןsinH5512,The strongholdמָע֣וֹזma.'ozH4581of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;I will also eliminateוְהִכְרַתִּ֖יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772the hordesהֲמ֥וֹןha.MonH1995ofThebesנֹֽא׃No'H4996.

16I will setוְנָתַ֤תִּיve.na.Ta.tiH5414a fireאֵשׁ֙'eshH784in Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714;Sinסִ֔יןSinH5512will writheH2342inH2342anguishH2342,Thebesוְנֹ֖אve.No'H4996will be breachedלְהִבָּקֵ֑עַle.hi.ba.Ke.a'H1234AndMemphisוְנֹ֖ףve.NofH5297will havedistressesצָרֵ֥יtza.Rei-H6862dailyיוֹמָֽם׃yo.MamH3119.

17The youngבַּח֥וּרֵיba.Chu.reiH970menH970ofOnאָ֛וֶן'A.venH204and of Pi-besethH6364Will fallיִפֹּ֑לוּyi.Po.luH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֣רֶבba.Che.revH2719, Andthe womenH1992will goתֵלַֽכְנָה׃te.Lakh.nahH1980into captivityבַּשְּׁבִ֥יba.she.ViH7628.

19So I willexecuteוְעָשִׂ֥יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213judgmentsשְׁפָטִ֖יםshe.fa.TimH8201on Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,And they will knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.”’”

26When I scatterוַהֲפִצוֹתִ֤יva.ha.fi.tzo.TiH6327the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471and disperseוְזֵרִיתִ֥יve.ze.ri.TiH2219them among the landsבָּאֲרָצ֑וֹתba.'a.ra.TzotH776,then they will knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.’”
