17The sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478didוַיַּעֲשׂוּ־vai.ya.'a.su-H6213soכֵ֖ןkhenH3651, and somegatheredוַֽיִּלְקְט֔וּvai.yil.ke.TuH3950muchהַמַּרְבֶּ֖הha.mar.BehH7235and somelittleוְהַמַּמְעִֽיט׃ve.ha.mam.'ItH4591.

18When they measuredוַיָּמֹ֣דּוּvai.ya.Mo.duH4058it by theomerבָעֹ֔מֶרva.'O.merH6016,the one who had gatheredH7235muchהַמַּרְבֶּ֔הha.mar.BehH7235did not haveH5736tooH5736muchH5736,and the one who had gatheredH4591littleוְהַמַּמְעִ֖יטve.ha.mam.'ItH4591did not haveH2637tooH2637littleH2637;everyoneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376gatheredלָקָֽטוּ׃la.Ka.tuH3950as muchלְפִֽי־le.fi-H6310as he would eatH398.

19Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Noאַל־'al-H408oneאִ֕ישׁ'ishH376is to leaveיוֹתֵ֥רyo.TerH3498anyמִמֶּ֖נּוּmi.Me.nuH4480of it untilעַד־'ad-H5704morningבֹּֽקֶר׃Bo.kerH1242.”

20But they did not listenשָׁמְע֣וּsha.me.'UH8085to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872,and someH376leftוַיּוֹתִ֨רוּvai.yo.Ti.ruH3498part of it untilעַד־'ad-H5704morningבֹּ֔קֶרBo.kerH1242,and it bredH7426wormsתּוֹלָעִ֖יםto.la.'ImH8438and stankוַיִּבְאַ֑שׁvai.yiv.'AshH887;and Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872wasH7107angryוַיִּקְצֹ֥ףvai.yik.TzofH7107with them.

21They gatheredוַיִּלְקְט֤וּvai.yil.ke.TuH3950it morningבַּבֹּ֣קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242by morningבַּבֹּ֔קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242,everyoneאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376as muchכְּפִ֣יke.FiH6310as he would eatH398;but when the sunהַשֶּׁ֖מֶשׁha.She.meshH8121becameH2552hotH2552,it would meltוְנָמָֽס׃ve.na.MasH4549.

22Now on the sixthהַשִּׁשִּׁ֗יha.shi.ShiH8345dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117they gatheredלָֽקְט֥וּla.ke.TuH3950twiceH4932asH4932muchH4932breadלֶ֙חֶם֙le.chemH3899,twoשְׁנֵ֥יshe.NeiH8147omersהָעֹ֖מֶרha.'O.merH6016for eachH259oneלָאֶחָ֑דla.'e.ChadH259.When allכָּל־kol-H3605theleadersנְשִׂיאֵ֣יne.si.'EiH5387of the congregationהָֽעֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935and toldוַיַּגִּ֖ידוּvai.ya.Gi.duH5046Mosesלְמֹשֶֽׁה׃le.mo.ShehH4872,

23then he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Thisה֚וּאhu'H1931is whatאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068meantדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696:Tomorrowמָחָ֑רma.CharH4279is a Sabbathשַׁבָּת֧וֹןsha.ba.TonH7677observanceH7677,a holyקֹ֛דֶשׁKo.deshH6944Sabbathשַׁבַּת־sha.bat-H7676to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068.Bakeתֹּאפ֞וּto.FuH644whatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you will bakeאֵפ֗וּ'e.FuH644and boilתְּבַשְּׁלוּ֙te.va.she.LuH1310whatאֲשֶֽׁר־'a.Sher-H834you will boilבַּשֵּׁ֔לוּba.She.luH1310, andallכָּל־kol-H3605that is leftH5736overH5736putH5117asideH5117to be keptלְמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶתle.mish.Me.retH4931untilעַד־'ad-H5704morningהַבֹּֽקֶר׃ha.Bo.kerH1242.”

24So they putH5117it asideH5117untilעַד־'ad-H5704morningהַבֹּ֔קֶרha.Bo.kerH1242,as Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872had orderedצִוָּ֣הtzi.VahH6680, andit did not stinkהִבְאִ֔ישׁhiv.'IshH887norH3808was there a maggotוְרִמָּ֖הve.ri.MahH7415in it.

25Then Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Eatאִכְלֻ֣הוּ'ikh.Lu.huH398it todayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117,for todayהַיּ֖וֹםhai.YomH3117is a Sabbathשַׁבָּ֥תsha.BatH7676to the Lordלַיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068;todayהַיּ֕וֹםhai.YomH3117you will not findתִמְצָאֻ֖הוּtim.tza.'U.huH4672it in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ba.sa.DehH7704.
