24NowδὲdeG1161whenὡςhōsG5613the captainστρατηγὸςstratēgosG4755of the templeG2413guardand the chiefἀρχιερεῖς,archiereisG749priestsG749heardἤκουσανēkousanG191theseτούτουςtoutousG3778wordsλόγουςlogousG3056,they were greatlyG1280perplexedδιηπόρουνdiēporounG1280aboutπερὶperiG4012them as to whatτίtiG5101would comeγένοιτοgenoitoG1096of thisτοῦτο.toutoG3778.
25But someoneτιςtisG5100cameπαραγενόμενοςparagenomenosG3854and reportedἀπήγγειλενapēngeilenG518to them, “The menἄνδρεςandresG435whomοὓςhousG3739you putἔθεσθεethestheG5087in prisonφυλακῇ,phulakēaG5438are standingἑστῶτεςhestōtesG2476in the templeG2413areaand teachingδιδάσκοντεςdidaskontesG1321the peopleλαόν.¶laonG2992!”
26ThenΤότεToteG5119the captainστρατηγὸςstratēgosG4755wentG565alongG565withthe officersὑπηρέταιςhupēretaisG5257and proceededto bringG71them backwithoutοὐ μετὰou metaG3756G3326violenceβίας,biasG970(forthey wereG5399afraidἐφοβοῦντοephobountoG5399of the peopleλαὸνlaonG2992,that they might be stonedλιθασθῶσιν.¶lithasthōsinG3034).
