Luke 24:31-40
31ThenG2532 their 1eyesG3788 were openedG1272 and they recognizedG1921 Him; and He vanishedG855 from 2their sightG846. 32They saidG3004 to oneG240 anotherG240, “3Were not our heartsG2588 burningG2545 withinG1722 us whileG5613 He was speakingG2980 to us on the roadG3598, whileG5613 He 4was 5explainingG1272 the ScripturesG1124 to us?” 33And they gotG450 up that veryG846 hourG5610 and returnedG5290 to JerusalemG2419, and 6foundG2147 gatheredG120 togetherG120 the elevenG1733 and 7thoseG3588 whoG3588 were with them, 34sayingG3004, “8The LordG2962 has reallyG3689 risenG1453 and 9has appearedG3708 to SimonG4613.” 35They began to relateG1834 10their experiencesG3588 on the roadG3598 and howG5613 11He was recognizedG1097 by them in the breakingG2800 of the breadG740.
36While they were tellingG2980 theseG3778 thingsG3778, 12He HimselfG846 stoodG2476 in their midstG3319 and saidG3004 to them, “PeaceG1515 be to you.” 37But they were startledG4422 and frightenedG1719 and thoughtG1380 that they were seeingG2334 13a spiritG4151. 38And He saidG3004 to them, “WhyG5101 are you troubledG5015, and whyG1223G5101 do doubtsG1261 ariseG305 in your 14heartsG2588? 3915SeeG3708 My handsG5495 and My feetG4228, that it is I MyselfG846; 16touchG5584 Me and seeG3708, for a spiritG4151 does not haveG2192 fleshG4561 and bonesG3747 as you seeG2334 that I haveG2192.” 40And when He had saidG3004 thisG3778, He showedG1166 them His handsG5495 and His feetG4228.
