39NowδὲdeG1161when the PhariseeΦαρισαῖοςPharisaiosG5330who had invitedκαλέσαςkalesasG2564Him sawG3708this, he saidλέγων·legōnG3004to himselfἑαυτῷhe'autōG1438, “IfεἰeiG1487thisG3778manG3778werea prophetπροφήτης,prophētēsG4396He would knowἐγίνωσκενeginōskenG1097whoτίςtisG5101and whatG4217sortG4217of personG4217thisG3588womanγυνὴgunēG1135is whoἥτιςhētisG3748is touchingἅπτεταιhaptetaiG681Him, that she is asinnerἁμαρτωλόςhamartōlosG268.”

40And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424answeredἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611him,“SimonΣίμων,SimōnG4613,I haveἔχωechōG2192somethingτιtiG5100to sayG3004to you.” And herepliedφησίν.phēsinG5346, “SayG3004it, TeacherδιδάσκαλεdidaskaleG1320.”

41“A moneylenderδανιστῇdanistēaG1157hadἦσανēsanG1510twoδύοduoG1417debtorsχρεοφειλέταιchreopheiletaiG5533:oneεἷςheisG1520owedὤφειλενōpheilenG3784fiveπεντακόσια,pentakosiaG4001hundredG4001denariiδηνάριαdēnariaG1220,and the otherἕτεροςheterosG2087fiftyπεντήκοντα.pentēkontaG4004.

42When theywere unableμὴ ἐχόντωνmē echontōnG3361 G2192to repayἀποδοῦναιapodounaiG591,he graciouslyG5483forgaveἐχαρίσατο.echarisatoG5483them bothἀμφοτέροιςamphoteroisG297.SoοὖνounG3767whichτίςtisG5101of them will loveἀγαπήσειagapēseiG25him moreG4183?”

43SimonΣίμωνSimōnG4613answeredἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611and saidG3004, “I supposeὑπολαμβάνωhupolambanōG5274the one whomᾧhōG3739he forgaveἐχαρίσατο.echarisatoG5483moreG4183.”And He saidG3004to him,“You have judgedἔκρινας.ekrinasG2919correctlyὀρθῶςorthōsG3723.”

44TurningστραφεὶςstrapheisG4762towardπρὸςprosG4314the womanγυναῖκαgunaikaG1135,He saidἔφη·ephēG5346to SimonΣίμωνιSimōniG4613,“Do you seeβλέπειςblepeisG991thisG3778womanγυναῖκα;gunaikaG1135?I enteredεἰσῆλθόνeisēlthonG1525your houseοἰκίαν,oikianG3614; yougaveἔδωκας·edōkasG1325Me noοὐκoukG3756waterὕδωρhudōrG5204for My feetπόδαςpodasG4228,but she has wetἔβρεξένebrexenG1026My feetπόδαςpodasG4228with her tearsδάκρυσινdakrusinG1144and wipedἐξέμαξεν.exemaxenG1591them with her hairθριξὶνthrixinG2359.

45Yougaveἔδωκας·edōkasG1325Me noG3756kissφίλημάphilēmaG5370;but she, sinceἀφ᾽aph᾽G575the time I cameεἰσῆλθονeisēlthonG1525in, has not ceasedδιέλιπενdielipenG1257to kissκαταφιλοῦσάkataphilousaG2705My feetπόδας.podasG4228.

46You did not anointἤλειψας·ēleipsasG218My headκεφαλήνkephalēnG2776with oilἐλαίῳelaiōG1637,but she anointedἤλειψενēleipsenG218My feetπόδαςpodasG4228with perfumeμύρῳmurōG3464.

47For thisοὗhouG3739reasonχάριν,charinG5484I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you, her sinsἁμαρτίαιhamartiaiG266,which are manyπολλαί,pollaiG4183,have been forgivenἀφέωνταιapheōntaiG863,for she lovedἠγάπησενēgapēsenG25muchπολύ·poluG4183;but he whoᾧhōG3739is forgivenἀφίεται,aphietaiG863littleὀλίγονoligonG3641,lovesἀγαπᾷ.agapaG25littleὀλίγονoligonG3641.”

48ThenG2532He saidG3004to her, “Your sinsἁμαρτίαι.hamartiaiG266have been forgivenἀφέωνταίapheōntaiG863.”

49ThoseοἱhoiG3588who were recliningσυνανακείμενοιsunanakeimenoiG4873at the tablewith Him beganἤρξαντοērxantoG757to sayλέγεινlegeinG3004to themselvesἑαυτοῖς·he'autoisG1438, “WhoτίςtisG5101is thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778manwhoὃςhosG3739evenG2532forgivesἀφίησιν;aphiēsinG863sinsἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266?”

50And He saidG3004to the womanγυναῖκα·gunaikaG1135, “Your faithπίστιςpistisG4102has savedσέσωκένsesōkenG4982you;goπορεύουporeuouG4198in peaceεἰρήνην.¶eirēnēnG1515.”
