Joshua 24:20-27

If ye forsakeH5800 Jehovah, and serveH5647 strange 1godsH430, then he will turnH7725 and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you goodH3190.

And the peopleH5971 saidH559 to JoshuaH3091, No; but we will serveH5647 Jehovah.

And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto the peopleH5971, Ye are witnessesH5707 against yourselves that ye have chosenH977 you Jehovah, to serveH5647 him. And they saidH559, [We are] witnessesH5707.

NowH6258 thereforeH6258 put awayH5493 the strange 2godsH430 that are among you, and inclineH5186 your heartH3824 unto Jehovah the 3GodH430 of IsraelH3478.

And the peopleH5971 saidH559 unto JoshuaH3091, Jehovah our 4GodH430 will we serveH5647, and to his voiceH6963 will we hearken.

So JoshuaH3091 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with the peopleH5971 that dayH3117, and setH7760 them a statuteH2706 and an ordinanceH4941 in ShechemH7927.

And JoshuaH3091 wroteH3789 these wordsH1697 in the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of 5GodH430, and tookH3947 a greatH1419 stoneH68, and setH6965 it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuaryH4720 of Jehovah.

And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto all the peopleH5971, Behold, this stoneH68 shall beH1961 a witness unto us, for it hath heardH8085 all the wordsH561 of Jehovah which he spokeH1696 unto us; and it shall beH1961 a witness against you, lestH6435 ye denyH3584 your 6GodH430.
