Joshua 24:20-27
201IfH3588 you forsakeH5800 the LordH3068 and serveH5647 foreignH5236 godsH430, then He will turnH7725 and doH7489 you harmH7489 and consumeH3615 you afterH310 He has doneH3190 goodH3190 to you.”
21The peopleH5971 saidH559 to JoshuaH3091, “NoH3808, but we will serveH5647 the LordH3068.”
22JoshuaH3091 saidH559 to the peopleH5971, “You are witnessesH5707 against yourselves that 2you have chosenH977 for yourselves the LordH3068, to serveH5647 Him.” And they saidH559, “We are witnessesH5707.”
23“NowH6258 therefore, putH5493 awayH5493 the foreignH5236 godsH430 whichH834 are in your midstH7130, and 3inclineH5186 your heartsH3824 to the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478.”
244The peopleH5971 saidH559 to JoshuaH3091, “We will serveH5647 the LordH3068 our GodH430 and we will 5obeyH8085 His voiceH6963.”
256So JoshuaH3091 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with the peopleH5971 that dayH3117, and madeH7760 for them a statuteH2706 and an ordinanceH4941 in ShechemH7927.
26And JoshuaH3091 7wroteH3789 theseH428 wordsH1697 in the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of GodH430; and he tookH3947 a largeH1419 stoneH68 and setH6965 it up thereH8033 underH8478 the oakH427 that was by the sanctuaryH4720 of the LordH3068.
27JoshuaH3091 saidH559 to allH3605 the peopleH5971, “BeholdH2009, 8thisH2088 stoneH68 shall be for a witnessH5713 against us, for it has heardH8085 allH3605 the wordsH561 of the LordH3068 whichH834 He spokeH1696 9to us; thus it shall be for a witnessH5713 against you, soH6435 that you do not denyH3584 your GodH430.”
