Joshua 2:6-16
But she had taken them up to the roofH1406, and secreted them under the stalks of flaxH6593, which she had laid out on the roofH1406.
And the menH376 pursuedH7291 after them the wayH1870 to the JordanH3383, to the fords; and whenH834 they who pursuedH7291 after them had goneH3318 out, they closed the gateH8179.
And before they had lainH7901 downH7901, she wentH5927 up to them upon the roofH1406;
and saidH559 to the menH376, I knowH3045 that Jehovah has givenH5414 you the landH776, and that the dreadH367 of you has fallenH5307 on us, and that all the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776 faint because of you.
For we have heardH8085 that Jehovah driedH3001 up the watersH4325 of the Red seaH3220 before you when ye cameH3318 out of EgyptH4714; and what ye did to the twoH8147 kingsH4428 of the AmoritesH567 that were beyond the JordanH3383, to SihonH5511 and to OgH5747, whom ye utterly destroyed.
We heardH8085 [of it], and our heartH3824 meltedH4549, and there remained no more spiritH7307 in any manH376 because of you; for Jehovah your 1GodH430, he is 2GodH430 in the heavensH8064 above and on the earthH776 beneath.
And nowH6258, I pray you, swearH7650 to me by Jehovah, since I have dealt kindly with you, that ye will alsoH1571 deal kindly with my father's houseH1004, and giveH5414 me a certain signH226,
that ye will let my fatherH1 liveH2421, and my motherH517, and my brethren, and my sistersH269, and all that belong to them, and deliverH5337 our soulsH5315 from deathH4194.
And the menH376 saidH559 to her, Our livesH5315 shall pay for yours, if ye do not makeH5414 this our business known; and it shall beH1961 when Jehovah shall giveH5414 us the landH776, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.
And she let them downH3381 by a cordH2256 through the windowH2474; for her houseH1004 was upon the city-wall, and she dweltH3427 upon the wallH2346.
And she saidH559 to them, GoH7725 to the mountainH2022, that the pursuersH7291 may not meetH6293 with you; and hideH2247 yourselves there threeH7969 daysH3117, until the pursuersH7291 have returnedH7725; and afterwards goH7725 your wayH1870.
