Revised Version 1895
Joshua 2:6-16
But sheH1931 had broughtH5927 them upH5927 to the roofH1406, and hidH2934 them with the stalksH6086 of flaxH6593, whichH1931 sheH1931 had laidH2934 in order uponH5921 the roofH1406.
And the menH376 pursuedH7291 afterH310 them the wayH1870 to JordanH3383 unto the fords: and as soon as they whichH834 pursuedH7291 afterH310 them were goneH3318 outH3318, they shutH5462 the gateH8179.
And beforeH2962 they were laidH7901 downH7901, sheH1931 cameH5927 upH5927 unto them uponH5921 the roofH1406;
and sheH3588 saidH559 unto the menH376, I knowH3045 that the LORDH3068 hath givenH5414 youH3588 the landH776, and that your terrorH367 is fallenH5307 uponH5921 usH5414, and that allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776 meltH4127 awayH5307 beforeH6440 youH3588.
For weH3588 have heardH8085 howH834 the LORDH3068 driedH3001 upH3001 the waterH4325 of the Red SeaH3220 beforeH6440 youH834, when ye cameH3318 outH3318 of EgyptH4714; and whatH834 ye didH6213 unto the twoH8147 kingsH4428 of the AmoritesH567, that were beyondH5676 JordanH3383, unto SihonH5511 and to OgH5747, whomH834 ye utterly destroyed.
And as soonH3588 as weH3588 had heardH8085 it, our heartsH3824 didH3808 meltH4549, neitherH3808 didH3808 there remainH3808 anyH376 moreH5750 spiritH7307 in anyH376 manH376, becauseH3588 of youH3588: for the LORDH3068 your GodH430, he is GodH430 in heavenH8064 aboveH5921, and on earthH776 beneathH8478.
NowH6258 therefore, I prayH4994 youH859, swearH7650 unto meH5414 by the LORDH3068, sinceH3588 I have dealt kindly with youH859, that ye also will dealH6213 kindly with my father’sH1 houseH1004, and giveH5414 meH5414 a trueH571 token:
and that ye will saveH5315 aliveH2421 my fatherH1, and my motherH517, and my brethrenH251, and my sistersH269, and allH3605 that they have, and will deliverH5337 our livesH5315 from deathH4194.
And the menH376 saidH559 unto herH5046, Our lifeH5315 for yoursH5414, ifH518 ye utterH5414 notH3808 this our businessH1697; and it shall be, when the LORDH3068 giveth usH5414 the landH776, that weH518 will dealH6213 kindly and trulyH571 with thee.
Then sheH1931 letH3381 them downH3381 by a cordH2256 throughH1157 the windowH2474: for herH3381 houseH1004 was uponH3381 the town wallH2346, and sheH1931 dweltH3427 uponH3381 the wallH2346.
And sheH310 saidH559 unto them, GetH7725 youH3117 to the mountainH2022, lestH6435 the pursuersH7291 light uponH6293 youH3117; and hideH2247 yourselves there threeH7969 daysH3117, untilH5704 the pursuersH7291 be returnedH7725: and afterwardH310 may ye goH7725 your wayH1870.
