Lands Yet Unconquered
(Judges 1:1–7)
1Now JoshuaH3091 was oldH2204 and well alongH935 in yearsH3117, and the LORDH3068 saidH559 to himH413, “YouH859 are oldH2204 and well alongH935 in yearsH3117, but veryH3966 muchH7235 of the landH776 remainsH7604 to be possessedH3423. 2ThisH2063 is the landH776 that remainsH7604:
3AllH3605 the territoryH1552 of the PhilistinesH6430H3605 and the GeshuritesH1651, fromH4480 the ShihorH7883 eastH5921H6440 of EgyptH4714 toH5704 the territoryH1366 of EkronH6138 on the northH6828 (consideredH2803 to be CanaaniteH3669 territory)—that of the fiveH2568 PhilistineH6430 rulersH5633 of GazaH5841, AshdodH796, AshkelonH832, GathH1663, and EkronH6139, as well as that of the AvvitesH5761; 4to the southH8486, allH3605 the landH776 of the CanaanitesH3669, from MearahH46321 ofH834 the SidoniansH6722 toH5704 AphekH663, as far asH5704 the borderH1366 of the AmoritesH567; 5the landH776 of the GebalitesH1382;2 and allH3605 LebanonH3844 to the eastH4217H8121, from Baal-gadH1171 belowH8478 MountH2022 HermonH2768 toH5704 Lebo-hamathH935H2574.
6AllH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of the hill countryH2022 fromH4480 LebanonH3844 toH5704 Misrephoth-maimH4956—allH3605 the SidoniansH6722—I MyselfH595 will drive outH3423 beforeH6440 the IsraelitesH1121H3478. Be sure toH7535 divide it by lotH5307 as an inheritanceH5159 to IsraelH3478, asH834 I have commanded youH6680. 7Now thereforeH6258 divideH2505 thisH2063 landH776 as an inheritanceH5159 to the nineH8672 tribesH7626 and the half-tribeH2677H7626 of ManassehH4519.”
The Inheritance East of the Jordan
(Numbers 32:1–42; Deuteronomy 3:12–22)
8The otherH5973 half of Manasseh, along with the ReubenitesH7206 and GaditesH1425, had receivedH3947 the inheritanceH5159 MosesH4872 had givenH5414 them beyondH5676 the JordanH3383 to the eastH4217, just asH834 MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of the LORDH3068 had assignedH5414 to them:
9The area from AroerH6177 onH5921 the rimH8193 of the ArnonH769 ValleyH5158, along with the cityH5892 in the middleH8432 of the valleyH5158, the wholeH3605 plateauH4334 of MedebaH4311 asH5704 far as DibonH1769, 10and allH3605 the citiesH5892 of SihonH5511 kingH4428 of the AmoritesH567 whoH834 reignedH4427 in HeshbonH2809, as far asH5704 the borderH1366 of the AmmonitesH1121H5983; 11also GileadH1568 and the territoryH1366 of the GeshuritesH1651 and MaacathitesH4602, allH3605 of MountH2022 HermonH2768, and allH3605 BashanH1316 as far asH5704 SalecahH5548— 12the wholeH3605 kingdomH4468 of OgH5747 in BashanH1316, whoH834 had reignedH4427 in AshtarothH6252 and EdreiH154 and had remainedH7604 as a remnantH3499 of the RephaimH7497.
MosesH4872 had struck them downH5221 and dispossessed themH3423, 13but the IsraelitesH1121H3478 did notH3808 drive outH3423 the GeshuritesH1651 orH853 the MaacathitesH4602. So GeshurH1650 and MaacathH4601 dwellH3427 amongH7130 the IsraelitesH3478 toH5704 thisH2088 dayH3117.
14To the tribeH7626 of LeviH3878, howeverH7535, Moses had givenH5414 noH3808 inheritanceH5159. The food offeringsH801 to the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, areH1931 their inheritanceH5159, just asH834 He had promisedH1696 them.
Reuben’s Inheritance
15This is what MosesH4872 had givenH5414 to the clansH4940 of the tribeH4294 of ReubenH1121H7205:

ThisH2063 was the inheritanceH5159 of the clansH4940 of the ReubenitesH1121H7205, including the citiesH5892 and villagesH2691.
Gad’s Inheritance
24This is what MosesH4872 had givenH5414 to the clansH4940 of the tribeH4294 of GadH1121H1410:
25The territoryH1366 of JazerH3270, allH3605 the citiesH5892 of GileadH1568, and halfH2677 the landH776 of the AmmonitesH1121H5983 as far asH5704 AroerH6177, nearH5921H6440 RabbahH7237; 26the territory from HeshbonH2809 toH5704 Ramath-mizpehH7434 and BetonimH993, and from MahanaimH4266 toH5704 the borderH1366 of DebirH1688;3 27and in the valleyH6010, Beth-haramH1027, Beth-nimrahH1039, SuccothH5523, and ZaphonH6829, with the restH3499 of the kingdomH4468 of SihonH5511 kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809 (the territoryH1366 on the eastH4217 sideH5676 of the JordanH3383 upH5704 to the edgeH7097 of the SeaH3220 of ChinnerethH36724).
28ThisH2063 was the inheritanceH5159 of the clansH4940 of the GaditesH1121H1410, including the citiesH5892 and villagesH2691.
Manasseh’s Eastern Inheritance
29This is what MosesH4872 had givenH5414 to the clansH4940 of the half-tribeH2677H7626 of ManassehH4519, that isH1961, to halfH2677 the tribeH4294 of the descendantsH1121 of ManassehH4519:
The territoryH1366 from MahanaimH4266 through allH3605 BashanH1316—allH3605 the kingdomH4468 of OgH5747 kingH4428 of BashanH1316, including allH3605 the townsH2333 of JairH2971 thatH834 are in BashanH1316, sixtyH8346 citiesH5892; 31halfH2677 of GileadH1568; and AshtarothH6252 and EdreiH154, the royalH4468 citiesH5892 of OgH5747 in BashanH1316.
All this was for the clansH4940 of the descendantsH1121 of MachirH4353 sonH1121 of ManassehH4519, that is, half ofH2677 the descendantsH1121 of MachirH4353.
32TheseH428 were the portions MosesH4872 had given themH5157 on the plainsH6160 of MoabH4124 beyondH5676 the JordanH3383, eastH4217 of JerichoH3405.
33To the tribeH7626 of LeviH3878, howeverH4872, Moses had givenH5414 noH3808 inheritanceH5159. The LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478H1931, is their inheritanceH5159, just asH834 He had promisedH1696 them.
