Hebrews 12:9-15
Moreover we have had the fathersG3962 of our fleshG4561 as chasteners, and we reverenced [them]; shall we not muchG4183 ratherG3123 be in subjectionG5293 to the FatherG3962 of spiritsG4151, and liveG2198?
For they indeedG1063 chastened for a fewG3641 daysG2250, as seemedG1380 goodG1380 to them; but he for profit, in order to the partaking of his holiness.
But no chastening at the time seemsG1380 to beG1510 [matter] of joyG5479, but of griefG3077; but afterwards yields [the] peaceful fruitG2590 of righteousnessG1343 to those exercised by it.
Wherefore lift up the handsG5495 that hang down, and the failing kneesG1119;
and makeG4160 straight paths for your feetG4228, that that which is lameG5560 be not turnedG1624 asideG1624; but that ratherG3123 it may be healedG2390.
PursueG1377 peaceG1515 with all, and holinessG38, without which no oneG3762 shall seeG3708 the LordG2962:
watching lestG3361 [there be] any oneG5100 who lacks the graceG5485 of 1GodG2316; lestG3361 any rootG4491 of bitternessG4088 springing up trouble [you], and manyG4183 be defiled by it;
