1And the queenH4436 of ShebaH7614 heardH8085 of the fame of SolomonH8010 in connection with the nameH8034 of Jehovah, and cameH935 to prove him with enigmas. 2And she cameH935 to JerusalemH3389 with a veryH3966 great train, with camelsH1581 that boreH5375 spicesH1314 and goldH2091 in veryH3966 great abundance, and preciousH3368 stonesH68; and she cameH935 to SolomonH8010, and spokeH1696 to him of all that wasH1961 in her heartH3824. 3And SolomonH8010 explained to her all she spoke of: there wasH1961 not a thingH1697 hiddenH5956 from the kingH4428 that he did not explain to her. 4And whenH834 the queenH4436 of ShebaH7614 sawH7200 all Solomon's wisdomH2451, and the houseH1004 that he had builtH1129, 5and the foodH3978 of his tableH7979, and the deportment of his servantsH5650, and the order of service of his attendants, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he wentH5927 up to the houseH1004 of Jehovah, there wasH1961 no more spiritH7307 in her. 6And she saidH559 to the kingH4428, It wasH1961 a true report that I heardH8085 in mine own landH776 of thine affairs, and of thy wisdomH2451; 7but I gave no credit to the wordsH1697, until I cameH935 and mine eyesH5869 had seenH7200; and behold, the halfH2677 was not toldH5046 me: in wisdomH2451 and prosperity thou exceedest the reportH8052 that I heardH8085. 8Happy are thy menH376! happy are these thy servantsH5650, who standH5975 continuallyH8548 before thee, who hearH8085 thy wisdomH2451! 9BlessedH1288 beH1961 Jehovah thy 1GodH430, who delighted in thee, to setH7760 thee on the throneH3678 of IsraelH3478! Because Jehovah lovesH160 IsraelH3478 for everH5769, therefore did he makeH7760 thee kingH4428, to do judgmentH4941 and justiceH4941. 10And she gaveH5414 the kingH4428 a hundredH3967 and twentyH6242 talentsH3603 of goldH2091, and spicesH1314 in veryH3966 great abundanceH7230, and preciousH3368 stonesH68: there cameH935 no more such abundanceH7230 of spicesH1314 as those which the queenH4436 of ShebaH7614 gaveH5414 to kingH4428 SolomonH8010. 11(And the fleet alsoH1571 of HiramH2438, which carriedH5375 goldH2091 from OphirH211, broughtH935 from OphirH211 sandal-wood in veryH3966 great abundanceH7235, and preciousH3368 stonesH68. 12And the kingH4428 madeH6213 of the sandal-wood a balustrade for the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and for the king's houseH1004, and harpsH3658 and lutes for the singersH7891. There cameH935 no such sandal-wood, nor was there seenH7200 to this dayH3117.) 13And kingH4428 SolomonH8010 gaveH5414 to the queenH4436 of ShebaH7614 all her desireH2656, whatever she askedH7592, besides what he gaveH5414 her of the bounty of kingH4428 SolomonH8010. And she turnedH6437 and went to her own landH776, she and her servantsH5650. 14And the weightH4948 of goldH2091 that cameH935 to SolomonH8010 in oneH259 yearH8141 wasH1961 sixH8337 hundredH3967 and sixty-six talentsH3603 of goldH2091, 15besides what [came] by the dealers, and by the traffic of the merchants, and by all the kingsH4428 of ArabiaH6152, and by the governorsH6346 of the country. 16And kingH4428 SolomonH8010 madeH6213 twoH3967 hundredH3967 targets of beaten goldH2091, — he applied sixH8337 hundredH3967 [shekels] of goldH2091 to oneH259 target; 17and threeH7969 hundredH3967 shieldsH4043 of beaten goldH2091, — he applied threeH7969 minasH4488 of goldH2091 to oneH259 shieldH4043; and the kingH4428 putH5414 them in the houseH1004 of the forestH3293 of LebanonH3844. 18And the kingH4428 madeH6213 a greatH1419 throneH3678 of ivoryH8127, and overlaidH6823 it with refined goldH2091: 19the throneH3678 had sixH8337 stepsH4609, and the topH7218 of the throneH3678 was rounded behind; and there were arms on each side at the placeH4725 of the seatH3678, and twoH8147 lionsH738 stoodH5975 beside the arms; 20and twelve lionsH738 stoodH5975 there on the oneH2088 side and on the other upon the sixH8337 stepsH4609: there was not the like madeH6213 in any kingdomH4467. 21And all kingH4428 Solomon's drinking vesselsH3627 were of goldH2091, and all the vesselsH3627 of the houseH1004 of the forestH3293 of LebanonH3844 were of precious goldH2091: none were of silverH3701, [which] was not of the least account in the daysH3117 of SolomonH8010. 22For the kingH4428 had on the seaH3220 a Tarshish-fleet, with the fleet of HiramH2438: once in threeH7969 yearsH8141 cameH935 the Tarshish-fleet, bringingH935 goldH2091 and silverH3701, ivoryH8143, and apes, and peacocks. 23And kingH4428 SolomonH8010 was greaterH1431 than all the kingsH4428 of the earthH776 in richesH6239 and in wisdomH2451. 24And all the earthH776 soughtH1245 the presenceH6440 of SolomonH8010, to hearH8085 his wisdomH2451, which 2GodH430 had putH5414 in his heartH3820. 25And they broughtH935 every manH376 his present, vesselsH3627 of silverH3701, and vesselsH3627 of goldH2091, and clothing, and armour, and spicesH1314, horsesH5483 and mulesH6505, a rate yearH8141 by yearH8141. 26And SolomonH8010 gatheredH622 chariotsH7393 and horsemenH6571; and he had a thousandH505 fourH702 hundredH3967 chariotsH7393, and twelve thousandH505 horsemenH6571; and he placed them in the chariot-cities, and with the kingH4428 at JerusalemH3389. 27And the kingH4428 madeH5414 silverH3701 in JerusalemH3389 as stonesH68, and cedarsH730 madeH5414 he as the sycamores that are in the lowland for abundanceH7230. 28And the exportation of horsesH5483 that SolomonH8010 had was from EgyptH4714: a caravan of the king's merchants fetched a drove [of horsesH5483], at a priceH4242. 29And a chariotH4818 cameH3318 up and wentH3318 out of EgyptH4714 for sixH8337 hundredH3967 [shekels] of silverH3701, and a horseH5483 for a hundredH3967 and fiftyH2572; and so they broughtH3318 [them] by their means, for all the kingsH4428 of the HittitesH2850 and for the kingsH4428 of Syria.
