Kings 1:1-10
And kingH4428 DavidH1732 was oldH2204 [and] advanced in age; and they coveredH3680 him with clothesH899, but he obtained no warmth.
And his servantsH5650 saidH559 to him, Let there beH1961 found for my lordH113 the kingH4428 a youngH5291 virginH1330; and let her standH5975 before the kingH4428, and let her cherish him, and let her lieH7901 in thy bosomH2436, that my lordH113 the kingH4428 may get warmH2552.
And they soughtH1245 for a fair damsel throughout the territoryH1366 of IsraelH3478, and foundH4672 AbishagH49 a ShunammiteH7767, and broughtH935 her to the kingH4428.
And the damsel wasH1961 veryH3966 fair; and cherished the kingH4428, and ministered to him; but the kingH4428 knewH3045 her not.
And AdonijahH138 the sonH1121 of HaggithH2294 exalted himself, sayingH559, I will be kingH4427; and he provided himself chariotsH7393 and horsemenH6571, and fiftyH2572 menH376 to runH7323 before him.
And his fatherH1 had not grieved him at any time in sayingH559, WhyH4069 doest thou so? and he was alsoH1571 a veryH3966 comely man; and [his mother] boreH3205 him after AbsalomH53.
And he conferred with JoabH3097 the sonH1121 of ZeruiahH6870, and with AbiatharH54 the priestH3548; and they helpedH5826 AdonijahH138 and followed [him].
But ZadokH6659 the priestH3548, and BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077, and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030, and ShimeiH8096, and Rei, and the mightyH1368 menH1368 whom DavidH1732 had, were not with AdonijahH138.
And AdonijahH138 sacrificedH2076 sheepH6629 and oxenH1241 and fatted cattleH1241 by the stoneH68 of Zoheleth, which is by En-rogelH5883, and invited all his brethren, the king's sonsH1121, and all the menH376 of JudahH3063, the king's servantsH5650;
but NathanH5416 the prophetH5030, and BenaiahH1141, and the mightyH1368 menH1368, and SolomonH8010 his brotherH251, he did not invite.
