Matthew 21:20-29

20WhenG2532 theG3588 disciplesG3101 sawG3708 this, they marveledG2296 and askedG3004, “How didG4459 theG3588 fig treeG4808 witherG3583 so quicklyG3916?”

21“TrulyG281 I tellG3004 youG4771,” JesusG2424 repliedG611G2036G846, “ifG1437 you haveG2192 faithG4102 andG2532 do notG3361 doubtG1252, notG3756 onlyG3440 will you doG4160 what was doneG3588 to theG3588 fig treeG4808, butG235 even ifG2579 you sayG2036 to thisG3778 mountainG3735, ‘Be lifted upG142 andG2532 thrownG906 intoG1519 theG3588 seaG2281,’ it will happenG1096. 22If you believeG4100, you will receiveG2983 whateverG3956G3745G302 you ask forG154 inG1722 prayerG4335.”

23WhenG2532 Jesus returnedG2064 toG1519 theG3588 templeG2411 courts and began to teachG1321, theG3588 chief priestsG749 andG2532 eldersG4245 of theG3588 peopleG2992 came upG4334 to HimG846. “ByG1722 whatG4169 authorityG1849 are You doingG4160 these thingsG3778?” they askedG3004. “AndG2532 whoG5101 gaveG1325 YouG4771 thisG3778 authorityG1849?”

24“I will also askG2504G2065 youG4771 oneG1520 questionG3056,” JesusG2424 repliedG611, “and ifG1437 you answerG2036 MeG1473, IG2504 will tellG2046 youG4771 byG1722 whatG4169 authorityG1849 I am doingG4160 these thingsG3778. 25What was the sourceG4159G1510 ofG3588 John’sG2491 baptismG908? Was it fromG1537 heavenG3772 orG2228 fromG1537 menG444?”

They deliberatedG1260 amongG1722 themselvesG1438 and saidG3004, “IfG1437 we sayG2036, ‘FromG1537 heavenG3772,’ He will askG2046, ‘WhyG1223G5101 thenG3767 did you not believeG3756G4100 himG846?’ 26ButG1161 ifG1437 we sayG2036, ‘FromG1537 menG444,’ we are afraidG5399 of theG3588 peopleG3793, forG1063 they allG3956 regardG2192 JohnG2491 asG5613 a prophetG4396.” 27SoG2532 they answeredG611, “We do not knowG3756G1492.”

AndG2532 Jesus repliedG5346, “NeitherG3761 will IG1473 tellG3004 youG4771 byG1722 whatG4169 authorityG1849 I am doingG4160 these thingsG3778.

28ButG1161 whatG5101 do youG4771 thinkG1380? There was a manG444 who hadG2192 twoG1417 sonsG5043. He wentG4334 to theG3588 firstG4413 one and saidG2036, ‘SonG5043, goG5217 and workG2038 todayG4594 inG1722 theG3588 vineyardG290.’

29‘I will notG2309,’ he repliedG611. ButG3756G1161 laterG5305 he changed his mindG3338 and wentG565.1
