7BeholdH2009! HanamelH2601, the sonH1121 of your uncleH1730 ShallumH7967, is comingH935 toH413 you to sayH559, ‘BuyH7069 for yourself my fieldH7704 in AnathothH6068, forH3588 you have the rightH4941 of redemptionH1353 to buy itH7069.’ 8Then, as the LORDH3068H413 had saidH1697, my cousinH1121H1730 HanamelH2601 cameH935 to meH413 in the courtyardH2691 of the guardH4307 and urged meH559H413, ‘PleaseH4994 buyH7069 my fieldH7704 in AnathothH6068 in the landH776 of BenjaminH1144, forH3588 you own the rightH4941 of inheritanceH3425 and redemptionH1353. Buy itH7069 for yourself.’”

Then I knewH3045 thatH3588 thisH1931 was the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068.

9So I boughtH7069 the fieldH7704H854 in AnathothH6068 from my cousinH1121H1730 HanamelH2601, and I weighed outH8254 seventeenH3701H7651H6235 shekelsH8255 of silverH3701.1 10I signedH3789 and sealedH2856 the deedH5612, called in witnessesH5749H5707, and weighed outH8254 the silverH3701 on the scalesH3976. 11Then I tookH3947 the deedH5612 of purchaseH4736—the sealedH2856 copy with its termsH4687 and conditionsH2706, as well asH853 the open copyH1540— 12and I gaveH5414 this deedH5612H4736 toH413 BaruchH1263 sonH1121 of NeriahH5374, the sonH1121 of MahseiahH4271, in the sightH5869 of my cousinH1730H5869 HanamelH2601 and the witnessesH5707 who were signingH3789 the purchaseH4736H5869 agreementH5612 and allH3605 the JewsH3064 sittingH3427 in the courtyardH2691 of the guardH4307.

13In their sightH5869H559 I instructedH6680 BaruchH1263, 14“This is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, saysH559: TakeH3947 theseH428 deedsH5612—both the sealed copyH2856 and theH2088 openH1540 copyH5612 of theH2088 deedH5612 of purchaseH4736—and put themH5414 in a clayH2789 jarH3627 toH4616 preserve themH5975 for a longH7227 timeH3117. 15ForH3588 this is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, saysH559: HousesH1004, fieldsH7704, and vineyardsH3754 will againH5750 be boughtH7069 in thisH2063 landH776.”

16AfterH310 I had givenH5414 the deedH5612 of purchaseH4736 toH413 BaruchH1263 sonH1121 of NeriahH5374H559, I prayedH6419 toH413 the LORDH3068:
