Jeremiah 17:5-8
5This is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 saysH559:
“Cursed isH779 the manH1397 whoH834 trustsH982 in mankindH120,who makesH7760 mere fleshH1320 his strengthH22201and turnsH5493 his heartH3820 fromH4480 the LORDH3068.6He will beH1961 like a shrubH6176 in the desertH6160;he will notH3808 seeH7200 whenH3588 prosperityH2896 comesH935.He will dwellH7931 in the parched placesH2788 of the desertH4057,in a saltH4420 landH776 where noH3808 one livesH3427.
7But blessedH1288 is the manH1397 whoH834 trustsH982 in the LORDH3068,whose confidenceH4009 isH1961 inH3068 Him.8He isH1961 like a treeH6086 plantedH8362 byH5921 the watersH4325that sends out its rootsH8328H7971 towardH5921 the streamH3105.It does notH3808 fearH3372 whenH3588 the heatH2527 comesH935,and its leavesH5929 are alwaysH1961 greenH7488.It does notH3808 worryH1672H3808 in a yearH8141 of droughtH1226,nor does it ceaseH4185 to produceH6213 fruitH6529.
