Jeremiah 16:1-9

Then the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 to meH413, sayingH559, 2“You must notH3808 marryH3947 or haveH1961 sonsH1121 or daughtersH1323 in thisH2088 placeH4725.”

ForH3588 this is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 saysH559 concerningH5921 the sonsH1121 andH5921 daughtersH1323 born in thisH2088 placeH4725, andH5921 the mothersH517 who bore themH3209, and the fathersH1H3205 who fatheredH3205 themH853 in thisH2063 landH776: 4“They will dieH4191 from deadlyH4463 diseasesH8463. They will notH3808 be mournedH5594H3808 or buriedH6912, but will lieH1961 like dungH1828 onH5921 the groundH6440H127. They will be finished offH3615 by swordH2719 and famineH7458, and their corpsesH5038 will becomeH1961 foodH3978 for the birdsH5775 of the airH8064 and beastsH929 of the earthH776.”

IndeedH3588, this is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 saysH559: “Do notH408 enterH935 a houseH1004 where there is a funeral mealH4798. Do notH408 goH1980 to mournH5594H408 or show sympathyH5110, forH3588 I have removedH622 fromH854 thisH2088 peopleH5971 My peaceH7965, My loving devotionH2617, andH853 My compassionH7356,” declaresH5002 the LORDH3068.

“Both greatH1419 and smallH6996 will dieH4191 in thisH2063 landH776. They will notH3808 be buriedH6912 or mournedH5594, norH3808 will anyone cut himselfH1413H3808 or shave his headH7139 for them. 7No foodH3808 will be offeredH6536 to comfortH5162 those who mournH60H5921 the deadH4191; not evenH3808 a cupH3563 of consolationH8575 will be givenH8248 forH5921 the loss of a fatherH1H5921 or motherH517.

You must notH3808 enterH935 a houseH1004 where there is feastingH4960 and sit downH3427 with themH854 to eatH398 and drinkH8354. 9ForH3588 this is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478H2005, saysH559: I am going to removeH7673 fromH4480 thisH2088 placeH4725, before your very eyesH5869 and in your daysH3117, the soundsH6963 of joyH8342 and gladnessH8057H6963, the voicesH6963 of the brideH3618 and bridegroomH2860.
