Isaiah 10:12-19
So whenH3588 the LordH136 has completedH1214 allH3605 His workH4639 against MountH2022 ZionH6726 and JerusalemH3389, He will say, “I will punishH6485 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804H5921H8597 forH5921 the fruitH6529 of his arrogantH1433 heartH3824 and the proudH7312 look in his eyesH5869. 13ForH3588 he saysH559:
‘By the strengthH3581 of my handH3027 I have doneH6213 this,and by my wisdomH2451, forH3588 I am cleverH995.I have removedH5493 the boundariesH1367 of nationsH5971and plunderedH8154 their treasuresH6264;like a mighty oneH47 I subduedH3381 their rulersH3427.14My handH3027 reachedH4672 as into a nestH7064to seize the wealthH2428 of the nationsH5971.Like one gatheringH622 abandonedH5800 eggsH1000,IH589 gatheredH622 allH3605 the earthH776.NoH3808H1961 wingH3671 flutteredH5074,no beakH6310 openedH6475 or chirpedH6850.’”
15Does an axeH1631 raise itselfH6286 aboveH5921 the one who swingsH2672 it?DoesH518 a sawH4883 boastH1431 over himH5921 who saws with itH5130?It would be like a rodH7626 wavingH5130 the one who lifts itH7311,or a staffH4294 lifting himH7311 who is notH3808 woodH6086!
16ThereforeH3651 the LordH113 GODH3068 of HostsH6635 will sendH7971 a wasting diseaseH7332among Assyria’s stout warriorsH4924,and underH8478 his pompH3519 will be kindledH3344a fireH3350 like a burningH3350 flameH784.17And the LightH216 of IsraelH3478 will becomeH1961 a fireH784,and its Holy OneH6918 a flameH3852.In a singleH259 dayH3117 it will burnH1197 and devourH398Assyria’s thornsH7898 and thistlesH8068.18The splendorH3519 of its forestsH3293 and orchardsH3759,both soulH5315 andH5704 bodyH1320,it will completely destroyH3615H1961,as a sickness consumes a manH4549H5263.19The remainingH7605 treesH6086 of its forestsH3293 will beH1961 so fewH4557that a childH5288 could count themH3789.
