Isaiah 10:12-19
12So it will be that whenH3588 the LordH136 has completedH1214 allH3605 His 1workH4639 on MountH2022 ZionH6726 and on JerusalemH3389, He will say, “I will 2punishH6485 the fruitH6529 of the arrogantH1433 heartH3824 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 and 3the arrogantH7312 prideH8597 of his eyesH5869.” 13For 4he has saidH559, “By the powerH3581 of my handH3027 and by my wisdomH2451 I didH6213 this, BecauseH3588 I haveH995 understandingH995; And I 5removedH5493 the boundariesH1367 of the peoplesH5971 And plunderedH8154 their treasuresH6264, And like a powerfulH3524 manH47 I broughtH3381 downH3381 6their inhabitantsH3427,14And my handH3027 reachedH4672 to the richesH2428 of the peoplesH5971 like a 7nestH7064, And as one gathersH622 abandonedH5800 eggsH1000, I gatheredH622 allH3605 the earthH776; And there was not one that flappedH5074 its wingH3671, openedH6475 its beakH6310, or chirpedH6850.”
15Is the 8axeH1631 to 9boastH6286 itself overH5921 the one who chopsH2672 with it? Is the sawH4883 to exaltH1431 itself overH5921 the one who wieldsH5130 it? That would be like 10a 11clubH7626 wieldingH5130 those who liftH7311 it, Or like 12a rodH4294 liftingH7311 the one who is not woodH6086.16ThereforeH3651 the LordH136, the 13GodH3068 of armiesH6635, will sendH7971 a 14wastingH7332 diseaseH7332 among his 15stoutH4924 warriorsH4924; And underH8478 his 16gloryH3519 a fireH3350 will be kindledH3344 like a burningH3350 flameH784.17And the 17LightH216 of IsraelH3478 will becomeH1961 a fireH784 and 18Israel’s 19HolyH6918 OneH6918 a flameH3852, And it will 20burnH1197 and devourH398 21his thornsH7898 and his briarsH8068 in a singleH259 dayH3117.18And He will 22destroyH3615 the gloryH3519 of his forestH3293 and of his fruitfulH3759 gardenH3759, bothH4480 soulH5315 and bodyH1320, And it will be as when a sickH5263 personH5263 wastesH4549 awayH4549.19And the 23restH7605 of the treesH6086 of his forestH3293 will be so small in numberH4557 That a childH5288 could writeH3789 them downH3789.
