Ezekiel 21:6-32

6But youH859, sonH1121 of manH120, groanH584! GroanH584 before their eyesH5869 with a brokenH7670 heartH4975 and bitter griefH4814. 7AndH1961 whenH3588 they askH559, ‘WhyH5921H4100 are youH859 groaningH584?’ you are to sayH559, ‘Because ofH413 the newsH8052 thatH3588 is comingH935. EveryH3605 heartH3820 will meltH4549, and everyH3605 handH3027 will go limpH7503. EveryH3605 spiritH7307 will faintH3543, and everyH3605 kneeH1290 will turn toH1980 waterH4325.’ YesH2009, it is comingH935 and it will surely happenH1961, declaresH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069.”

8Again the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 to meH413, sayingH559, 9“SonH1121 of manH120, prophesyH5012 and tell themH559 that this is whatH3541 the LordH136H559 saysH559:

‘A swordH2719, a swordH2719,sharpenedH2300 andH1571 polishedH4803—10it is sharpenedH2300H4616H1961 forH4616 the slaughterH2874H2873,polishedH4803H176 to flash like lightningH1300!Should we rejoiceH7797 in the scepterH7626 of My sonH1121?The sword despisesH3988 everyH3605 such stickH6086.11The swordH2719 is appointedH5414 to be polishedH4803,to be graspedH8610 in the handH3709.ItH1931 is sharpenedH2300 andH1931 polishedH4803,to be placedH5414 in the handH3027 of the slayerH2026.
12Cry outH2199 and wailH3213,O sonH1121 of manH120,forH3588 the sword is wieldedH1961 against My peopleH5971;itH1931 is against allH3605 the princesH5387 of IsraelH3478!They areH1961 tossedH4048 toH413 the swordH2719 withH854 My peopleH5971;thereforeH3651 strikeH5606H413 your thighH3409.113SurelyH3588 testing will comeH974!And whatH4100 ifH518 evenH1571 the scepterH7626,which the sword despisesH3988,does notH3808 continueH1961?’declaresH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069.14‘So thenH859, sonH1121 of manH120,prophesyH5012 and strikeH5221 your hands togetherH3709H413.Let the swordH2719 strike two timesH3717,even threeH7992.ItH1931 is a swordH2719 that slaysH2491,a swordH2719 of greatH1419 slaughterH2491closing in on every sideH2314!
15So thatH4616 their heartsH3820 may meltH4127and manyH7235 may stumbleH4383,I have appointedH5414 atH5921 allH3605 their gatesH8179a swordH2719 for slaughterH19.YesH253, it is readyH6213 to flash like lightningH1300;it is drawnH4593 for slaughterH2874.16SlashH258 to the rightH3231;set your bladeH7760 to the leftH8041—whereverH575 your bladeH6440 is directedH3259.
17IH589 tooH1571 will strikeH5221 My hands togetherH3709H413,and I will satisfyH5117 My wrathH2534.’IH589, the LORDH3068, have spokenH1696.”

18Then the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 to meH413, sayingH559, 19“Now youH859, sonH1121 of manH120, mark outH7760 twoH8147 roadsH1870 for the swordH2719 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 to takeH935, bothH8147 startingH3318 from the sameH259 landH776. And makeH1254 a signpostH3027 where the roadH1870 branches offH7218 to each cityH5892H1254. 20Mark outH7760 one roadH1870 for the swordH2719 to comeH935 against RabbahH7237 of the AmmonitesH1121H5983, andH853 another against JudahH3063 into fortifiedH1219 JerusalemH3389.

21ForH3588 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 standsH5975 atH413 the forkH517 in the roadH1870, at the junctionH7218 of the twoH8147 roadsH1870, to seekH7080 an omenH7081: He shakesH7043 the arrowsH2671, he consultsH7592 the idolsH8655, he examinesH7200 the liverH3516.

22In his right handH3225 appearsH1961 the portentH7081 for JerusalemH3389, where he is to set upH7760 battering ramsH3733, to call forH6605H6310 the slaughterH7524, to liftH7311 a battle cryH6963H8643, to directH7760 the battering ramsH3733 againstH5921 the gatesH8179, to buildH8210 a rampH5550, and to erectH1129 a siege wallH1785. 23It will seemH1961 like a falseH7723 omenH7080 to the eyesH5869 of those who have swornH7650 allegianceH7621 to him, but itH1931 will draw attentionH2142 to their guiltH5771 and take them captiveH8610.

24ThereforeH3651 this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘BecauseH3282 you have drawn attentionH2142 to your guiltH5771, exposingH1540 your transgressionsH6588, so that your sinsH2403 are revealedH7200 in allH3605 your deedsH5949—becauseH3282 you have come to remembranceH2142—you shall be takenH8610 in handH3709.

25And youH859, O profaneH2491 and wickedH7563 princeH5387 of IsraelH3478,the dayH3117H6256 has comeH935 for your final punishmentH5771H7093.’

26This is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559:

‘RemoveH5493 the turbanH4701,and take offH7311 the crownH5850.ThingsH2063 will not remain as they areH3808H2063:ExaltH1361 the lowlyH8217and bring lowH1364 the exaltedH8213.27A ruinH5754, a ruinH5754,I will make itH7760 a ruinH5754!AndH1571 itH2063 will notH3808 be restoredH1961untilH5704 the arrivalH935 of Him to whomH834 it belongs,to whom I have assignedH5414 the right of judgmentH4941.2’

28NowH859 prophesyH5012, sonH1121 of manH120, and declareH559 that this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559 concerningH413 the AmmonitesH1121H5983H413 and their contemptH2781:

‘A swordH2719! A swordH2719is drawnH6605 for slaughterH2874,polishedH4803 to consumeH3557,toH4616 flash like lightningH1300—29while they offer falseH7723 visionsH2372 for youand lyingH3577 divinationsH7080 about you—to be placedH5414 onH413 the necksH6677of the wickedH7563 who are slainH2491,whoseH834 dayH3117 has comeH935,the timeH6256 of their final punishmentH5771H7093.
30ReturnH7725 the sword toH413 its sheathH8593!
In the placeH4725 whereH834 you were createdH1254,in the landH776 of your originH4351,I will judgeH8199 youH853.31I will pour outH8210 My angerH2195 upon youH5921;I will breatheH6315 the fireH784 of My furyH5678 against youH5921;I will hand you over toH5414H3027 brutalH1197 menH376,skilledH2796 in destructionH4889.32You will beH1961 fuelH402 for the fireH784.Your bloodH1818 will stainH1961 your ownH8432 landH776.You will notH3808 be rememberedH2142,forH3588 IH589, the LORDH3068, have spokenH1696.’”
