Ezekiel 21:6-32
6Sigh therefore, thou son of man; with the breaking of thy loins and with bitterness shalt thou sigh beforeH413 their eyes. 7And it shall be, when they sayH3478 unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt sayH3478, BecauseH6440 of the tidings, for it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord GODH413. 8And the wordH559 of the LORDH3068 cameH3318 unto meH413, sayingH559, 9Son of manH7563, prophesy, and say, ThusH3651 saith the LORDH6662: Say, A swordH2719, a swordH2719, it is sharpened, and also furbished: 10it is sharpened that it may makeH3045 a slaughter; it is furbished that it may be as lightning: shall weH3588 then makeH3045 mirth? the rod of my son, it contemneth everyH3605 tree. 11And it is given to be furbished, that it may be handled: the sword, it is sharpened, yea, it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer. 12Cry and howl, son of manH3605: for it is uponH5921 my peopleH3820, it is uponH5921 allH3605 the princes of Israel: they are deliveredH3027 over to the sword with my peopleH3820: smite therefore uponH5921 thy thigh. 13For there is a trial; and whatH1697 ifH1961 even the rod that contemneth shall be no more? saith the LordH3068 GODH3068. 14Thou therefore, sonH1121 of manH120, prophesyH5012, and smite thine hands togetherH1571; and let the swordH2719 be doubled the third time, the swordH2719 of the deadly wounded: it is the swordH2719 of the great one that is deadly wounded, whichH2719 entereth intoH2719 their chambers. 15I have set the pointH1300 of the sword againstH3605 allH3605 their gates, that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied: ah! it is madeH1961 as lightningH1300, it is pointed for slaughterH2874. 16Gather thee together, go to the right; setH5414 thyself in array, go to the leftH5414; whithersoever thy face is setH5414. 17I will also smite mine hands togetherH2199, and I will satisfy my fury: I the LORD have spokenH413 it. 18The word of the LORDH136 cameH1961 unto meH1961 againH1961, saying, 19Also, thou sonH1121 of manH120, appoint thee twoH5221 ways, that the swordH2719 of the king of Babylon may come; they twain shall come forth outH413 of one land: and mark outH413 a place, mark it outH413 at the head of the way to the cityH1931. 20Thou shalt appointH5414 a wayH3605, for the swordH2719 to come to Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and to Judah in JerusalemH4616 the defenced. 21For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the wayH6440, at the headH6440 of the two ways, to use divination: he shook the arrows to and fro, he consulted the teraphim, he looked in the liver. 22In his rightH1571 handH3709 was the divination for Jerusalem, to setH5117 battering rams, to open the mouth in the slaughterH5221, to lift upH413 the voice with shouting, to setH5117 battering rams againstH413 the gates, to castH5117 upH413 mounts, to build forts. 23And it shall be unto them as a vain divination in their sight, whichH1697 have sworn oaths unto them: but he bringeth iniquity to remembrance, that they may be takenH1961. 24Therefore thus saith the Lord GODH3027: BecauseH3027 ye have madeH7760 your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, soH3318 that in allH259 your doings your sins doH3318 appear; becauseH3027 that ye are comeH935 to remembrance, ye shall be takenH3318 with the handH3027. 25And thou, O deadly wounded wicked one, the prince of Israel, whoseH1121 day is comeH935, in the time of the iniquity of the end; 26thus saith the Lord GODH413: Remove the mitre, and takeH7200 offH7218 the crown: this shall be no moreH3588 the same: exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high. 27I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: this also shall be no moreH5921, untilH5921 he comeH1961 whose rightH3225 it is; and I will giveH7760 it him. 28And thou, son of man, prophesy, and say, ThusH1961 saith the Lord GOD concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and say thou, A sword, a sword is drawn, for the slaughter it is furbished, to causeH1961 it to devour, that it may be as lightning: 29whiles they seeH7200 vanity unto thee, whiles they divine lies unto thee, to layH1540 thee uponH7200 the necks of the wicked that are deadly wounded, whoseH3605 day is comeH2142, in the time of the iniquityH5771 of the end. 30Cause it to returnH935 intoH935 itsH935 sheath. In the placeH935 whereH834 thou wast created, in the land of thy birth, will I judge thee. 31And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee; I will blow upon thee with the fire of my wrath: and I will deliver thee intoH5493 the hand of brutish menH559, skilful to destroy. 32Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be noH3808 moreH3808 remembered: for I the LORD have spokenH935 it.
