Ezekiel 12:6-11
6And as they watchH5869, liftH5375 your bags toH5921 your shoulderH3802 and take them outH3318 at duskH5939; coverH3680 your faceH6440 so that you cannotH3808 seeH7200 the landH776. ForH3588 I have made youH5414 a signH4159 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478.”
7So I didH6213H3651 asH834 I was commandedH6680. I brought outH3318 my bagsH3627 for exileH1473 by dayH3119, and in the eveningH6153 I dugH2864 through the wallH7023 by handH3027. I took my belongings outH3318 at duskH5939, carrying themH5375 onH5921 my shoulderH3802 as they watchedH5869.
8And in the morningH1242 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 to meH413, sayingH559, 9“SonH1121 of manH120, hasn’tH3808 the rebelliousH4805 houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 askedH559 youH413, ‘WhatH4100 are youH859 doingH6213?’ 10TellH559 themH413 that this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘ThisH2088 burdenH4853 concerns the princeH5387 in JerusalemH3389 and allH3605 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 whoH834 areH1992 thereH8432.’
11You are to sayH559, ‘IH589 am a sign to youH4159.’ Just asH834 it happened hereH6213,1 soH3651 will it be doneH6213 to them; they will goH1980 into exileH1473 as captivesH7628.
Notes
- 1. Ezekiel 12:11 Literally ‘I am a sign to you.’ Just as I have done; some translators close the quotation at the end of the verse. ↩
