4Then the man brought meוַיְבִיאֵ֜נִיvay.vi.'E.niH935toאֶל־'el-H413the frontפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the templeהַבַּיִת֒ha.ba.YitH1004by wayדֶּֽרֶךְ־de.rekh-H1870of the northהַצָּפוֹן֮ha.tza.fOnH6828gateשַׁ֣עַרSha.'arH8179.I lookedוָאֵ֕רֶאva.'E.re'H7200and sawוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009the gloryכְבוֹד־khe.Vod-H3519of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853fillingמָלֵ֥אma.Le'H4390Hisיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068templeבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004,and I fellוָאֶפֹּ֖לva.'e.PolH5307facedownאֶל־ פָּנָֽי׃'el- pa.NaiH413 H6440.

6Tellוְאָמַרְתָּ֤ אֶל־ve.'a.mar.Ta 'el-H559 H413the rebelliousמֶ֙רִי֙ אֶל־me.ri 'el-H4805 H413houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478that this is whatכֹּ֥הkohH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֑הYah.wehH3069saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559: ‘I have had enoughרַב־rav-H7227of allמִֽכָּל־mi.kolH3605your abominationsתּוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖םto.'a.vo.tei.KhemH8441,O houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

7In additionאֶ֖ל'elH413to allכָּל־kol-H3605your other abominationsתּוֹעֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃to.'a.vo.tei.KhemH8441,you brought inבַּהֲבִיאֲכֶ֣םba.ha.vi.'a.KhemH935foreignersבְּנֵֽי־ נֵכָ֗רbe.nei- ne.KharH1121 H5236uncircumcisedעַרְלֵי־'ar.lei-H6189in both heartלֵב֙ וְעַרְלֵ֣יlev ve.'ar.LeiH3820 H6189and fleshבָשָׂ֔רva.SarH1320to occupyלִהְי֥וֹתlih.YotH1961My sanctuaryבְּמִקְדָּשִׁ֖יbe.mik.da.ShiH4720;you defiledלְחַלְּל֣וֹle.cha.le.LoH2490אֶת־'et-H853My templeבֵּיתִ֑יbei.TiH1004when you offeredבְּהַקְרִֽיבְכֶ֤םbe.hak.ri.ve.KhemH7126אֶת־'et-H853My foodלַחְמִי֙lach.MiH3899—the fatחֵ֣לֶבChe.levH2459and the bloodוָדָ֔םva.DamH1818;you brokeוַיָּפֵ֙רוּ֙vai.ya.Fe.ruH6565אֶת־'et-H853My covenantבְּרִיתִ֔יbe.ri.TiH1285.

8And you have notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808keptשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖םshe.mar.TemH8104chargeמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of My holy thingsקָדָשָׁ֑יka.da.ShaiH6944,but have appointedוַתְּשִׂימ֗וּןva.te.si.MunH7760others to keepלְשֹׁמְרֵ֧יle.sho.me.ReiH8104chargeמִשְׁמַרְתִּ֛יmish.mar.TiH4931of My sanctuaryבְּמִקְדָּשִׁ֖יbe.mik.da.ShiH4720for you.’

9This is whatכֹּה־koh-H3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִה֒Yah.wehH3069saysאָמַר֮'a.MarH559:Noכָּל־kol-H3605foreignerבֶּן־ נֵכָ֗רben- ne.KharH1121 H5236uncircumcisedעֶ֤רֶל'E.relH6189in heartלֵב֙ וְעֶ֣רֶלlev ve.'E.relH3820 H6189and fleshבָּשָׂ֔רba.SarH1320לֹ֥אlo'H3808may enterיָב֖וֹא אֶל־ya.Vo' 'el-H935 H413My sanctuaryמִקְדָּשִׁ֑י לְכָל־mik.da.Shi le.kholH4720 H3605—not even a foreignerבֶּן־ נֵכָ֔רben- ne.KharH1121 H5236whoאֲשֶׁ֕ר'a.SherH834lives amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the Israelitesבְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478.

10Surelyכִּ֣י אִם־ki 'im-H3588 H518the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֗םhal.vi.YimH3881whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834wandered awayרָֽחֲקוּ֙ra.cha.KuH7368from Meמֵֽעָלַ֔יme.'a.LaiH5921when Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478went astrayבִּתְע֤וֹתbit.'otH8582,and whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834wanderedתָּע֣וּta.'UH8582away from Meמֵֽעָלַ֔יme.'a.LaiH5921afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310their idolsגִּלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֑םgi.lu.lei.HemH1544,will bear the consequencesוְנָשְׂא֖וּve.na.se.'UH5375of their iniquityעֲוֹנָֽם׃'a.vo.NamH5771.

11Yet they shall beוְהָי֤וּve.ha.YuH1961ministersמְשָׁ֣רְתִ֔יםme.Sha.re.TimH8334in My sanctuaryבְמִקְדָּשִׁי֙ve.mik.da.ShiH4720, havingchargeפְּקֻדּוֹת֙pe.ku.dOtH6486ofאֶל־'el-H413the gatesשַׁעֲרֵ֣יsha.'a.ReiH8179of the templeהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004and ministeringוּֽמְשָׁרְתִ֖יםu.me.sha.re.TimH8334אֶת־'et-H853thereהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004.Theyהֵ֠מָּהHe.mahH1992shall slaughterיִשְׁחֲט֨וּyish.cha.TuH7819אֶת־'et-H853the burnt offeringsהָעֹלָ֤הha.'o.LahH5930וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and other sacrificesהַזֶּ֙בַח֙ha.Ze.vachH2077for the peopleלָעָ֔ם וְהֵ֛מָּהla.'Am ve.He.mahH5971 H1992and standיַעַמְד֥וּya.'am.DuH5975before themלִפְנֵיהֶ֖םlif.nei.HemH6440to minister to themלְשָֽׁרְתָֽם׃le.Sha.re.TamH8334.

12Becauseיַ֗עַןYa.'anH3282אֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834they ministeredיְשָׁרְת֤וּye.sha.re.TuH8334אוֹתָם֙'o.TamH853beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440their idolsגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֔םgi.lu.lei.HemH1544and becameוְהָי֥וּve.ha.YuH1961a stumbling blockלְמִכְשׁ֣וֹלle.mikh.SholH4383of iniquityעָוֹ֑ן'a.VonH5771to the houseלְבֵֽית־le.veit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,thereforeעַל־ כֵּן֩'al- kenH5921 H3651I swore with an upliftedנָשָׂ֨אתִיna.Sa.tiH5375handיָדִ֜יya.DiH3027concerning themעֲלֵיהֶ֗ם'a.lei.HemH5921that they would bear the consequencesוְנָשְׂא֖וּve.na.se.'UH5375of their iniquityעֲוֹנָֽם׃'a.vo.NamH5771,declaresנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069.

13They must notוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808approachיִגְּשׁ֤וּyi.ge.ShuH5066Meאֵלַי֙'e.LaiH413to serve Me as priestsלְכַהֵ֣ןle.kha.HenH3547or come nearוְלָגֶ֙שֶׁת֙ עַל־ve.la.Ge.shet 'al-H5066 H5921anyכָּל־kol-H3605of My holy thingsאֶל־'el-H6944 H413or the most holy thingsH6944.They will bearוְנָֽשְׂאוּ֙ve.na.se.'UH5375the shameכְּלִמָּתָ֔םke.li.ma.TamH3639of the abominationsוְתוֹעֲבוֹתָ֖םve.to.'a.vo.TamH8441אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834they have committedעָשֽׂוּ׃'a.SuH6213.

14Yet I will appointוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414themאוֹתָ֔ם'o.TamH853to keepשֹׁמְרֵ֖יsho.me.ReiH8104chargeמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of allלְכֹל֙le.KholH3605the workעֲבֹ֣דָת֔וֹa.Vo.da.ToH5656for the templeהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004and everythingוּלְכֹ֛לu.le.KholH3605אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834to be doneיֵעָשֶׂ֖הye.'a.SehH6213in it.
