1“Now youוְאַתָּ֤הve.'a.TahH859,sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָם֙'a.DamH120,takeקַח־kach-H3947a brickלְבֵנָ֔הle.ve.NahH3843,placeוְנָתַתָּ֥הve.na.ta.TahH5414itאוֹתָ֖הּ'o.TahH853before youלְפָנֶ֑יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440,and drawוְחַקּוֹתָ֥ve.cha.ko.TaH2710on itעָלֶ֛יהָ'a.Lei.haH5921the cityעִ֖יר'irH5892אֶת־'et-H853of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.
2Then layוְנָתַתָּ֨הve.na.ta.TahH5414siegeמָצ֗וֹרma.TzorH4692against itעָלֶ֜יהָ'a.Lei.haH5921:Constructוּבָנִ֤יתָu.va.Ni.taH1129עָלֶ֙יהָ֙'a.Lei.haH5921a siege wallדָּיֵ֔קda.YekH1785,buildוְשָׁפַכְתָּ֥ve.sha.fakh.TaH8210a rampסֹֽלְלָ֑הso.le.LahH5550to itעָלֶ֖יהָ'a.Lei.haH5921,set upוְנָתַתָּ֨הve.na.ta.TahH5414campsמַחֲנ֛וֹתma.cha.NotH4264against itעָלֶ֧יהָ'a.Lei.haH5921,and placeוְשִׂים־ve.sim-H7760battering ramsכָּרִ֖יםka.RimH3733around itעָלֶ֥יהָ'a.Lei.haH5921on all sidesסָבִֽיב׃sa.VivH5439.
3Thenוְאַתָּ֤הve.'a.TahH859takeקַח־kach-H3947an ironבַּרְזֶ֔לbar.ZelH1270plateמַחֲבַ֣תma.cha.VatH4227and set it upוְנָתַתָּ֤הve.na.ta.TahH5414אוֹתָהּ֙'o.TahH853as an ironבַּרְזֶ֔לbar.ZelH1270wallקִ֣ירkirH7023between yourselfH996and the cityהָעִ֑ירha.'IrH5892.Turnוַהֲכִינֹתָה֩va.ha.khi.no.TahH3559אֶת־'et-H853your faceפָּנֶ֨יךָpa.Nei.khaH6440toward itאֵלֶ֜יהָ'e.Lei.haH413so that it isוְהָיְתָ֤הve.ha.ye.TahH1961under siegeבַמָּצוֹר֙va.ma.tzOrH4692,and besiege itוְצַרְתָּ֣ עָלֶ֔יהָve.tzar.Ta 'a.Lei.haH6696H5921.Thisהִ֖יאhi'H1931will be a signא֥וֹת'otH226to the houseלְבֵ֥יתle.VeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478.
4Thenוְאַתָּ֤הve.'a.TahH859lie downשְׁכַב֙she.KhavH7901onעַל־'al-H5921your leftהַשְּׂמָאלִ֔יha.se.ma.LiH8042sideצִדְּךָ֣tzi.de.KhaH6654and placeוְשַׂמְתָּ֛ve.sam.TaH7760אֶת־'et-H853the iniquityעֲוֹ֥ן'a.VonH5771of the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478upon yourselfעָלָ֑יו'a.LavH5921.You are to bearתִּשָּׂ֖אti.Sa'H5375אֶת־'et-H853their iniquityעֲוֹנָֽם׃'a.vo.NamH5771for the numberמִסְפַּ֤רmis.ParH4557of daysהַיָּמִים֙hai.ya.MimH3117אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you lie on your sideתִּשְׁכַּ֣ב עָלָ֔יוtish.Kav 'a.LavH7901H5921.
5For Iוַאֲנִ֗יva.'a.NiH589have assignedנָתַ֤תִּֽיna.Ta.tiH5414to youאֶת־'et-H853יָמִ֔יםya.MimH3117390שְׁלֹשׁ־ מֵא֥וֹת וְתִשְׁעִ֖יםshe.losh- me.'ot ve.tish.'ImH7969H3967H8673daysי֑וֹםYomH3117,according to the numberלְמִסְפַּ֣רle.mis.ParH4557of yearsשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8141of their iniquityעֲוֹנָ֔ם'a.vo.NamH5771.So you shall bearוְנָשָׂ֖אתָve.na.Sa.taH5375the iniquityעֲוֹ֥ן'a.VonH5771of the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.
6When you have completedוְכִלִּיתָ֣ve.khi.li.TaH3615אֶת־'et-H853these daysאֵ֗לֶּה'E.lehH428,lie downוְשָׁ֨כַבְתָּ֜ve.Sha.khav.taH7901againשֵׁנִ֔יתshe.NitH8145,but onעַל־'al-H5921your rightH3227sideצִדְּךָ֤tzi.de.KhaH6654,and bearוְנָשָׂ֖אתָve.na.Sa.taH5375אֶת־'et-H853the iniquityעֲוֹ֣ן'a.VonH5771of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063.I have assignedנְתַתִּ֥יוne.ta.TivH5414to you40אַרְבָּעִ֣ים'ar.ba.'ImH705daysH3117,a dayH3117for each yearH8141.
7You must turnתָּכִ֣יןta.KhinH3559your faceפָּנֶ֔יךָpa.Nei.khaH6440towardוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413the siegeמְצ֤וֹרme.TzorH4692of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ye.ru.sha.LimH3389with your armוּֽזְרֹעֲךָ֖u.ze.ro.'a.KhaH2220baredחֲשׂוּפָ֑הcha.su.FahH2834,and prophesyוְנִבֵּאתָ֖ve.ni.be.TaH5012against itעָלֶֽיהָ׃'a.Lei.haH5921.
8Now beholdוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009,I will tie you upנָתַ֥תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414with ropesעָלֶ֖יךָ עֲבוֹתִ֑ים'a.Lei.kha a.vo.TimH5688H5921so you cannotוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808turnתֵהָפֵ֤ךְte.ha.FekhH2015from sideמִֽצִּדְּךָ֙mi.tzi.de.KhaH6654toאֶל־'el-H413sideצִדֶּ֔ךָtzi.De.khaH6654untilעַד־'ad-H5704you have finishedכַּלּוֹתְךָ֖ka.lot.KhaH3615the daysיְמֵ֥יye.MeiH3117of your siegeמְצוּרֶֽךָ׃me.tzu.Re.khaH4692.

9But takeוְאַתָּ֣ה קַח־ve.'a.Tah kach-H859H3947wheatחִטִּ֡יןchi.TinH2406,barleyוּ֠שְׂעֹרִיםU.se.'o.rimH8184,beansוּפ֨וֹלu.FolH6321,lentilsוַעֲדָשִׁ֜יםva.'a.da.ShimH5742,milletוְדֹ֣חַןve.Do.chanH1764,and speltוְכֻסְּמִ֗יםve.khu.se.MimH3698;putוְנָתַתָּ֤הve.na.ta.TahH5414themאוֹתָם֙'o.TamH853in a singleאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259containerבִּכְלִ֣יbikh.LiH3627and makeוְעָשִׂ֧יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213themאוֹתָ֛ם'o.TamH853into breadלְלָ֑חֶםle.La.chemH3899for yourself. This is whatyou are to eatתֹּאכֲלֶֽנּוּ׃to.kha.Le.nuH398during theמִסְפַּ֨רmis.ParH4557הַיָּמִ֜יםhai.ya.MimH3117390שְׁלֹשׁ־ מֵא֧וֹת וְתִשְׁעִ֛יםshe.losh- me.'ot ve.tish.'ImH7969H3967H8673daysי֖וֹםYomH3117אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834אַתָּ֣ה׀'a.TahH859you lieשׁוֹכֵ֣בsho.KhevH7901onעַֽל־'al-H5921your sideצִדְּךָ֗tzi.de.KhaH6654.
10You are to weigh outבְּמִשְׁק֕וֹלbe.mish.KolH4946twentyעֶשְׂרִ֥ים'es.RimH6242shekelsשֶׁ֖קֶלShe.kelH8255of foodוּמַאֲכָֽלְךָ֙u.ma.'a.kha.le.KhaH3978אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834to eatתֹּאכֲלֶ֔נּוּto.kha.Le.nuH398each dayלַיּ֑וֹםlai.YomH3117,and you are to eat itתֹּאכֲלֶֽנּוּ׃to.kha.Le.nuH398at set timesעַד־'ad-H6256H5704.
12And you shall eatתֹּֽאכֲלֶ֑נָּהto.kha.Le.nahH398the foodוְהִ֗יאve.Hi'H1931as you would a barleyשְׂעֹרִ֖יםse.'o.RimH8184cakeוְעֻגַ֥תve.'u.GatH5692,after you bakeתְּעֻגֶ֖נָהte.'u.Ge.nahH5746it over dried humanהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120excrementבְּגֶֽלְלֵי֙ צֵאַ֣תbe.ge.Lei tze.'AtH1561H6627in the sightלְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃ סle.'ei.nei.HemH5869of the people.”
13Then the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “This is howכָּ֣כָהKa.khahH3602the Israelitesבְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֛לve.nei- Yis.ra.'ElH1121H3478אֶת־'et-H853will eatיֹאכְל֧וּyo.khe.LuH398their defiledטָמֵ֑אta.Me'H2931breadלַחְמָ֖םlach.MamH3899among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֕םba.go.YimH1471to whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I will banish themאַדִּיחֵ֖ם שָֽׁם׃'a.di.Chem ShamH5080H8033.”
14“Ahאֲהָהּ֙'a.HahH162,Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069,”I saidוָאֹמַ֗ר הִנֵּ֥הva.'o.Mar hi.NehH559H2009, “Iנַפְשִׁ֖יnaf.ShiH5315have neverלֹ֣אlo'H3808defiled myselfמְטֻמָּאָ֑הme.tu.ma.'AhH2930.From my youthמִנְּעוּרַ֣יmi.ne.'u.RaiH5271untilוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704nowעַ֔תָּה'A.tahH6258I have notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808eatenאָכַ֙לְתִּי֙'a.Khal.tiH398anything found deadוּנְבֵלָ֨הu.ne.ve.LahH5038or mauled by wild beastsוּטְרֵפָ֤הu.te.re.FahH2966.Noוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808uncleanפִּגּֽוּל׃ סpi.GulH6292meatבְּשַׂ֥רbe.SarH1320has ever enteredבָ֥אva'H935my mouthבְּפִ֖יbe.FiH6310.”
15“Lookרְאֵ֗הre.'EhH7200,”He repliedוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔יvai.Yo.mer 'e.LaiH559H413, “I will letנָתַ֤תִּֽיna.Ta.tiH5414youאֶת־'et-H853use cowהַבָּקָ֔רha.ba.KarH1241dungצְפִיעֵ֣יtze.fu.'eiH6832instead ofתַּ֖חַתTa.chatH8478humanהָֽאָדָ֑םha.'a.DamH120excrementגֶּלְלֵ֣יge.LeiH1561,and you may bakeוְעָשִׂ֥יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213אֶֽת־'et-H853your breadלַחְמְךָ֖lach.me.KhaH3899over thatעֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ ס'a.lei.HemH5921.”
16Then He toldוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559meאֵלַ֗י'e.LaiH413, “Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָם֙ הִנְנִ֨י'a.Dam hi.NiH120H2005,I am going to cut offשֹׁבֵ֤רsho.VerH7665the supplyמַטֵּה־ma.teh-H4294of foodלֶ֙חֶם֙le.chemH3899in Jerusalemבִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םbi.Ru.sha.LimH3389.They will anxiouslyוּבִדְאָגָ֑הu.vid.'a.GahH1674eatוְאָכְלוּ־ve.'a.khe.lu-H398breadלֶ֥חֶםLe.chemH3899rationed by weightבְּמִשְׁקָ֖לbe.mish.KalH4948,and in despairוּבְשִׁמָּמ֖וֹןu.ve.shi.ma.MonH8078they will drinkיִשְׁתּֽוּ׃yish.TuH8354waterוּמַ֕יִםu.Ma.yimH4325by measureבִּמְשׂוּרָ֥הbim.su.RahH4884.
17Soלְמַ֥עַןle.Ma.'anH4616they will lackיַחְסְר֖וּyach.se.RuH2637foodלֶ֣חֶםLe.chemH3899and waterוָמָ֑יִםva.Ma.yimH4325;they will be appalledוְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙ve.na.Sha.muH8074at the sight ofoneאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376anotherוְאָחִ֔יוve.'a.ChivH251wasting awayוְנָמַ֖קּוּve.na.Ma.kuH4743in their iniquityבַּעֲוֹנָֽם׃ פba.'a.vo.NamH5771.
