1Then I heard Himבְאָזְנַ֗יve.'a.ze.NaiH241call outוַיִּקְרָ֣אvai.yik.Ra'H7121in a loudגָּדוֹל֙ga.dOlH1419voiceק֤וֹלKolH6963,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Draw nearקָרְב֖וּka.re.VuH7126,O executionersפְּקֻדּ֣וֹתpe.ku.DotH6486of the cityהָעִ֑ירha.'IrH5892,eachוְאִ֛ישׁve.'IshH376witha weaponכְּלִ֥יke.LiH3627of destructionמַשְׁחֵת֖וֹmash.che.ToH4892in handבְּיָדֽוֹ׃be.ya.DoH3027.”

2And I sawוְהִנֵּ֣הve.hi.NehH2009sixשִׁשָּׁ֣הshi.ShahH8337menאֲנָשִׁ֡ים'a.na.ShimH582comingבָּאִ֣ים׀ba.'ImH935from the directionמִדֶּרֶךְ־mi.de.rekh-H1870of the Upperהָעֶלְי֜וֹןha.'el.YonH5945Gateשַׁ֨עַרSha.'arH8179,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר׀'a.SherH834facesמָפְנֶ֣הma.fe.NehH6437northצָפ֗וֹנָהtza.Fo.nahH6828,eachוְאִ֨ישׁve.'IshH376with a weaponכְּלִ֤יke.LiH3627of slaughterמַפָּצוֹ֙ma.pa.TzoH4660in his handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027.With themבְּתוֹכָם֙be.to.KhamH8432was anotherאֶחָ֤ד'e.ChadH259manוְאִישׁ־ve.'ish-H376clothedלָבֻ֣שׁla.VushH3847in linenבַּדִּ֔יםba.DimH906who had a writing kitוְקֶ֥סֶת הַסֹּפֵ֖רve.Ke.set ha.so.FerH7083 H5608at his sideבְּמָתְנָ֑יוbe.ma.te.NavH4975.And they came inוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935and stoodוַיַּ֣עַמְד֔וּvai.Ya.'am.DuH5975besideאֵ֖צֶל'E.tzelH681the bronzeהַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃ha.ne.Cho.shetH5178altarמִזְבַּ֥חmiz.BachH4196.

3Then the gloryוּכְב֣וֹד׀u.khe.VodH3519of the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478roseנַעֲלָה֙na.'a.LahH5927from aboveמֵעַ֤לme.'AlH5921the cherubimהַכְּרוּב֙ha.ke.RuvH3742,whereאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834it had beenהָיָ֣הha.YahH1961, and movedעָלָ֔יו'a.LavH5921toאֶ֖ל'elH413the thresholdמִפְתַּ֣ןmif.TanH4670of the templeהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004.And He calledוַיִּקְרָ֗אvai.yik.Ra'H7121toאֶל־'el-H413the manהָאִישׁ֙ha.'IshH376clothedהַלָּבֻ֣שׁha.la.VushH3847in linenהַבַּדִּ֔יםha.ba.DimH906אֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834who had the writing kitקֶ֥סֶת הַסֹּפֵ֖רKe.set ha.so.FerH7083 H5608at his sideבְּמָתְנָֽיו׃ סbe.ma.te.NavH4975.

4“Goעֲבֹר֙'a.VorH5674throughoutבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892ofבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432Jerusalemיְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,”saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068אֵלָ֔יו'e.lovH413, “and putוְהִתְוִ֨יתָve.hit.Vi.taH8427a markתָּ֜וtavH8420onעַל־'al-H5921the foreheadsמִצְח֣וֹתmitz.ChotH4696of the menהָאֲנָשִׁ֗יםha.'a.na.ShimH582sighingהַנֶּֽאֱנָחִים֙ha.ne.'e.na.ChimH584and groaningוְהַנֶּ֣אֱנָקִ֔יםve.ha.Ne.'e.na.KimH602overעַ֚ל'alH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605the abominationsהַתּ֣וֹעֵב֔וֹתha.To.'e.VotH8441committedהַֽנַּעֲשׂ֖וֹתha.na.'a.SotH6213thereבְּתוֹכָֽהּ׃be.to.KhahH8432.”

5And as I listenedבְּאָזְנַ֔יbe.'a.ze.NaiH241,He saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559to the othersוּלְאֵ֙לֶּה֙u.le.'E.lehH428, “Follow himעִבְר֥וּ אַחֲרָ֖יו'iv.Ru 'a.cha.RavH5674 H310through the cityבָעִ֛ירva.'IrH5892and start killingוְהַכּ֑וּve.ha.KuH5221 H5921;do notתָּחֹ֥סta.ChosH2347show pityעֵינְכֶ֖םei.nei.khemH5869 H408or spare anyoneתַּחְמֹֽלוּ׃tach.Mo.luH2550!

6Slaughterתַּהַרְג֣וּ לְמַשְׁחִ֗ית וְעַל־ta.har.Gu le.mash.Chit ve.'al-H2026 H4889 H5921the old menזָקֵ֡ןza.KenH2205,the young menבָּח֣וּרba.ChurH970and maidensוּבְתוּלָה֩u.ve.tu.LahH1330,the womenוְנָשִׁ֜יםve.na.ShimH802and childrenוְטַ֨ףve.TafH2945;but do notאַל־'al-H408go nearתִּגַּ֔שׁוּti.Ga.shuH5066anyoneכָּל־ אִ֨ישׁkol- 'ishH3605 H376whoאֲשֶׁר־ עָלָ֤יו'a.Sher- 'a.LavH834 H5921has the markהַתָּו֙ha.TavH8420.Now beginתָּחֵ֑לּוּta.Che.luH2490at My sanctuaryוּמִמִּקְדָּשִׁ֖יu.mi.mik.da.ShiH4720.”So they beganוַיָּחֵ֙לּוּ֙ בָּאֲנָשִׁ֣יםvai.ya.Che.lu ba.'a.na.ShimH2490 H582with the eldersהַזְּקֵנִ֔יםha.ze.ke.NimH2205whoאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834werebeforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the templeהַבָּֽיִת׃ha.Ba.yitH1004.

7Then He toldוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559themאֲלֵיהֶ֜ם'a.lei.HemH413, “Defileטַמְּא֣וּta.me.'UH2930אֶת־'et-H853the templeהַבַּ֗יִתha.Ba.yitH1004and fillוּמַלְא֧וּu.mal.'UH4390אֶת־'et-H853the courtsהַחֲצֵר֛וֹתha.cha.tze.RotH2691with the slainחֲלָלִ֖יםcha.la.LimH2491.Go forthצֵ֑אוּTze.'uH3318!”So they went outוְיָצְא֖וּve.ya.tze.'UH3318and began killingוְהִכּ֥וּve.hi.KuH5221throughout the cityבָעִֽיר׃va.'IrH5892.

8וַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961While they were killingכְּהַכּוֹתָ֔םke.ha.ko.TamH5221,Iאָ֑נִי'A.niH589was left aloneוְנֵֽאשֲׁאַ֖רve.ne.sha.'ArH7604.And I fellוָאֶפְּלָ֨הva.'e.pe.LahH5307facedownעַל־ פָּנַ֜י'al- pa.NaiH5921 H6440and cried outוָאֶזְעַ֗ק וָֽאֹמַר֙va.'ez.'Ak va.'o.MarH2199 H559, “Ohאֲהָהּ֙'a.HahH162,Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069,when You pour outבְּשָׁפְכְּךָ֥be.sha.fe.ke.KhaH8210אֵ֚ת'etH853Your wrathחֲמָתְךָ֖cha.ma.te.KhaH2534onעַל־'al-H5921Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389,will Youאַתָּ֗ה'a.TahH859אֶת־'et-H853destroyהֲמַשְׁחִ֣יתha.mash.ChitH7843the entireכָּל־kol-H3605remnantשְׁאֵרִ֣יתshe.'e.RitH7611of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478?”

9He repliedוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗יvai.Yo.mer 'e.LaiH559 H413, “The iniquityעֲוֹ֨ן'a.VonH5771of the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֤לYis.ra.'ElH3478and Judahוִֽיהוּדָה֙vi.hu.DahH3063isexceedinglyH3966greatגָּדוֹל֙ga.dOlH1419.The landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776is full ofוַתִּמָּלֵ֤אva.ti.ma.Le'H4390bloodshedדָּמִ֔יםda.MimH1818,and the cityוְהָעִ֖ירve.ha.'IrH5892is full ofמָלְאָ֣הmal.'AhH4390perversityמֻטֶּ֑הmu.TehH4297.Forכִּ֣יkiH3588they sayאָמְר֗וּ'a.me.RuH559, ‘The LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853has forsakenעָזַ֤ב'a.ZavH5800the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776;the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068does notוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369seeרֹאֶֽה׃ro.'EhH7200.’

10But as for Meוְגַ֨ם־ve.Gam-H1571,Iאֲנִ֔י'a.NiH589will notלֹא־lo'-H3808look on themעֵינִ֖י'ei.NiH5869with pityתָח֥וֹסta.ChosH2347,norוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808will I spare themאֶחְמֹ֑ל'ech.MolH2550.I will bring their deedsדַּרְכָּ֖םdar.KamH1870downנָתָֽתִּי׃na.Ta.tiH5414upon their own headsבְּרֹאשָׁ֥םbe.ro.ShamH7218.”

11Thenוְהִנֵּ֞הve.hi.NehH2009the manהָאִ֣ישׁ׀ha.'IshH376clothedלְבֻ֣שׁle.VushH3830in linenהַבַּדִּ֗יםha.ba.DimH906אֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834with the writing kitהַקֶּ֙סֶת֙ha.Ke.setH7083at his sideבְּמָתְנָ֔יוbe.ma.te.NavH4975reported backמֵשִׁ֥יב דָּבָ֖ר לֵאמֹ֑רme.Shiv da.Var le.MorH7725 H1697 H559, “I have doneעָשִׂ֕יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213asכְּכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥רke.Kholke./Khol/ /'a.Sher'a.SherH834You commandedצִוִּיתָֽנִי׃ סtzi.vi.Ta.niH6680.”
