1The handיַד־yad-H3027of the LORDיְהוָה֒Yah.wehH3068wasהָיְתָ֣הha.ye.TahH1961upon meעָלַי֮'a.LaiH5921,and He brought me outוַיּוֹצִאֵ֤נִיvai.yo.tzi.'E.niH3318by Hisיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068Spiritבְר֙וּחַ֙ve.Ru.achH7307and set me downוַיְנִיחֵ֖נִיvay.ni.Che.niH5117in the middleבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of the valleyהַבִּקְעָ֑הha.bik.'AhH1237,and itוְהִ֖יאve.Hi'H1931wasfull ofמְלֵאָ֥הme.le.'AhH4392bonesעֲצָמֽוֹת׃a.tza.MotH6106.

2He led meוְהֶעֱבִירַ֥נִיve.he.'e.vi.Ra.niH5674allסָבִ֣יב׀sa.VivH5439aroundסָבִ֑יבsa.VivH5439among themעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם'a.lei.HemH5921,and I sawוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009a greatמְאֹד֙me.'OdH3966manyרַבּ֤וֹתra.BotH7227bonesonעַל־'al-H5921the floorפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the valleyהַבִּקְעָ֔הha.bik.'AhH1237,and indeedוְהִנֵּ֖הve.hi.NehH2009,they were veryמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966dryיְבֵשׁ֥וֹתye.ve.ShotH3002.

3Then He askedוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413, “Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֕ם'a.DamH120,can theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428bonesהָעֲצָמ֣וֹתha.'a.tza.MotH6106come to lifeהֲתִחְיֶ֖ינָהha.tich.Yei.nahH2421?” “O Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֖הYah.wehH3069,”I repliedוָאֹמַ֕רva.'o.MarH559, “only Youאַתָּ֥ה'a.TahH859knowיָדָֽעְתָּ׃ya.Da.'e.taH3045.”

4And He saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413, “Prophesyהִנָּבֵ֖אhi.na.Ve'H5012concerningעַל־'al-H5921theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428bonesהָעֲצָמ֣וֹתha.'a.tza.MotH6106and tellוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559themאֲלֵיהֶ֔ם'a.lei.HemH413, ‘Dryהַיְבֵשׁ֔וֹתhay.ve.ShotH3002bonesהָעֲצָמוֹת֙ha.'a.tza.mOtH6106,hearשִׁמְע֖וּshim.'UH8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068!

5This is whatכֹּ֤הkohH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559to theseהָאֵ֑לֶּה הִנֵּ֨הha.'E.leh hi.NehH428 H2009bonesלָעֲצָמ֖וֹתla.'a.tza.MotH6106:Iאֲנִ֜י'a.NiH589will cause breathר֖וּחַRu.achH7307to enterמֵבִ֥יאme.Vi'H935you,and you will come to lifeוִחְיִיתֶֽם׃vich.yi.TemH2421.

6I will attachוְנָתַתִּי֩ve.na.ta.TiH5414tendonsגִּדִ֜יםgi.DimH1517to youעֲלֵיכֶ֨ם'a.lei.KhemH5921and make fleshבָּשָׂ֗רba.SarH1320growוְֽהַעֲלֵתִ֧יve.ha.'al.TiH5927upon youעֲלֵיכֶ֣ם'a.lei.KhemH5921and coverוְקָרַמְתִּ֤יve.ka.ram.TiH7159youעֲלֵיכֶם֙'a.lei.KhemH5921with skinע֔וֹרorH5785.I will putוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414breathר֖וּחַRu.achH7307within youso that you will come to lifeוִחְיִיתֶ֑םvich.yi.TemH2421.Then you will knowוִידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.’”

7So I prophesiedוְנִבֵּ֖אתִיve.ni.Be.tiH5012asכַּאֲשֶׁ֣רka.'a.SherH834I had been commandedצֻוֵּ֑יתִיtzu.Vei.tiH6680.And as I prophesiedכְּהִנָּֽבְאִי֙ke.hi.na.ve.'IH5012,there wasוַֽיְהִי־vay.hi-H1961suddenlyוְהִנֵּה־ve.hi.neh-H2009a noiseק֤וֹלKolH6963,a rattlingרַ֔עַשׁRa.'ashH7494,and the bonesעֲצָמ֔וֹתa.tza.MotH6106came togetherוַתִּקְרְב֣וּva.tik.re.VuH7126,boneעֶ֖צֶם'E.tzemH6106toאֶל־'el-H413boneעַצְמֽוֹ׃atz.MoH6106.

8As I looked onוְרָאִ֜יתִיve.ra.'I.tiH7200,tendonsגִּדִים֙gi.DimH1517appearedוְהִנֵּֽה־ve.hi.neh-H2009on themעֲלֵיהֶ֤ם'a.lei.HemH5921,fleshוּבָשָׂ֣רu.va.SarH1320grewעָלָ֔ה'a.LahH5927,and skinע֖וֹר מִלְמָ֑עְלָהor mil.Ma.'e.lahH5785 H4605covered themוַיִּקְרַ֧ם עֲלֵיהֶ֛םvai.yik.Ram 'a.lei.HemH7159 H5921;but there was noאֵ֥ין'einH369breathוְר֖וּחַve.Ru.achH7307in them.

9Then He saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413, “Prophesyהִנָּבֵ֖אhi.na.Ve'H5012toאֶל־'el-H413the breathהָר֑וּחַha.Ru.achH7307;prophesyהִנָּבֵ֣אhi.na.Ve'H5012,sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָ֠דָם'A.domH120,and tellוְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֶל־ve.'a.mar.Ta 'el-H559 H413the breathהָר֜וּחַha.Ru.achH7307that this is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069saysאָמַ֣ר׀'a.MarH559:Comeבֹּ֣אִיBo.'iH935from the fourמֵאַרְבַּ֤עme.'ar.Ba'H702windsרוּחוֹת֙ru.chOtH7307,O breathהָר֔וּחַha.Ru.achH7307,and breatheוּפְחִ֛יu.fe.ChiH5301into theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428slainבַּהֲרוּגִ֥יםba.ha.ru.GimH2026,so that they may liveוְיִֽחְיֽוּ׃ve.Yich.YuH2421!”

10So I prophesiedוְהִנַּבֵּ֖אתִיve.hi.na.Be.tiH5012asכַּאֲשֶׁ֣רka.'a.SherH834He had commanded meצִוָּ֑נִיtzi.Va.niH6680,and the breathהָר֜וּחַha.Ru.achH7307enteredוַתָּבוֹא֩va.ta.Vo'H935them,and they came to lifeוַיִּֽחְי֗וּvai.yich.YuH2421and stoodוַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙vai.ya.'am.DuH5975onעַל־'al-H5921their feetרַגְלֵיהֶ֔םrag.lei.HemH7272—a vastגָּד֥וֹלga.DolH1419 H3966armyחַ֖יִלCha.yilH2428.

11Then He saidוַיֹּאמֶר֮vai.yo.MerH559to meאֵלַי֒'e.LaiH413, “Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֕ם'a.DamH120,theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428bonesהָעֲצָמ֣וֹתha.'a.tza.MotH6106are the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478.Lookהִנֵּ֣הhi.NehH2009,theyהֵ֑מָּהHe.mahH1992are sayingאֹמְרִ֗ים'o.me.RimH559, ‘Our bonesעַצְמוֹתֵ֛ינוּatz.mo.Tei.nuH6106are dried upיָבְשׁ֧וּya.ve.ShuH3001,and our hopeתִקְוָתֵ֖נוּtik.va.Te.nuH8615has perishedוְאָבְדָ֥הve.'a.ve.DahH6;we are cut offנִגְזַ֥רְנוּnig.Zar.nuH1504.’

12Thereforeלָכֵן֩la.KhenH3651prophesyהִנָּבֵ֨אhi.na.Ve'H5012and tellוְאָמַרְתָּ֜ve.'a.mar.TaH559themאֲלֵיהֶ֗ם'a.lei.HemH413that this is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִה֒Yah.wehH3069saysאָמַר֮'a.MarH559: ‘Oהִנֵּה֩hi.NehH2009My peopleעַמִּ֑י'a.MiH5971,Iאֲנִ֨י'a.NiH589will openפֹתֵ֜חַfo.Te.achH6605אֶת־'et-H853your gravesקִבְרֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗םkiv.ro.tei.KhemH6913and bring you upוְהַעֲלֵיתִ֥יve.ha.'a.lei.TiH5927fromאֶתְכֶ֛ם'et.KhemH853themמִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖םmi.kiv.ro.tei.KhemH6913,and I will bring you backוְהֵבֵאתִ֥יve.he.ve.TiH935אֶתְכֶ֖ם'et.KhemH853toאֶל־'el-H413the landאַדְמַ֥ת'ad.MatH127of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478.

13Then you, My peopleעַמִּֽי׃'a.MiH5971,will knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,when I openבְּפִתְחִ֣יbe.fit.ChiH6605אֶת־'et-H853your gravesקִבְרֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗םkiv.ro.tei.KhemH6913and bring you upוּבְהַעֲלוֹתִ֥יu.ve.ha.'a.lo.TiH5927אֶתְכֶ֛ם'et.KhemH853from themמִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖םmi.kiv.ro.tei.KhemH6913.

14I will putוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414My Spiritרוּחִ֤יru.ChiH7307in youand you will liveוִחְיִיתֶ֔םvich.yi.TemH2421,and I will settleוְהִנַּחְתִּ֥יve.hi.nach.TiH5117youאֶתְכֶ֖ם'et.KhemH853inעַל־'al-H5921your own landאַדְמַתְכֶ֑ם'ad.mat.KhemH127.Then you will knowוִידַעְתֶּ֞םvi.da'.TemH3045thatכִּי־ki-H3588Iאֲנִ֧י'a.NiH589,the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,have spokenדִּבַּ֥רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696,and I will do itוְעָשִׂ֖יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213,declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the LORDיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.’”

One Nation with One King

15Again the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִ֥יvay.HiH1961to meאֵלַ֥י'e.LaiH413,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

16“And youוְאַתָּ֣הve.'a.TahH859,sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,takeקַח־kach-H3947a singleאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259stickעֵ֣ץ'etzH6086and writeוּכְתֹ֤בu.khe.ToH3789on itעָלָיו֙'a.LavH5921: ‘Belonging to Judahלִֽיהוּדָ֔הli.hu.DahH3063and to the Israelitesוְלִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.liv.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478associated with himחֲבֵרָ֑יוcha.ve.rovH2270.’Then takeוּלְקַח֙u.le.KachH3947anotherאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259stickעֵ֣ץ'etzH6086and writeוּכְת֣וֹבu.khe.TovH3789on itעָלָ֗יו'a.LavH5921: ‘Belonging to Josephלְיוֹסֵף֙le.yo.SefH3130—the stickעֵ֣ץ'etzH6086of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֔יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669—and to allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478associated with himחֲבֵרָֽיו׃cha.ve.rovH2270.’

17Then joinוְקָרַ֨בve.ka.RavH7126themאֹתָ֜ם'o.TamH853togetherאֶל־'el-H259 H413into oneH259stickלְעֵ֣ץle.'EtzH6086,so that they becomeוְהָי֥וּve.ha.YuH1961oneH259in your handבְּיָדֶֽךָ׃be.ya.De.khaH3027.

18Whenוְכַֽאֲשֶׁר֙ve.kha.'a.SherH834your peopleיֹאמְר֣וּ בְּנֵ֥י עַמְּךָ֖yo.me.Ru be.Nei 'a.me.KhaH1121 H5971 H559askלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559youאֵלֶ֔יךָ'e.Lei.khaH413, ‘Won’tהֲלֽוֹא־ha.lo'-H3808you explainתַגִּ֥ידta.GidH5046to uswhatמָה־mah-H4100you mean bytheseאֵ֥לֶּה'E.lehH428?’

20When the sticksהָעֵצִ֜יםha.'e.TzimH6086on whichאֲֽשֶׁר־'asher-H834you writeתִּכְתֹּ֧בtikh.ToH3789עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם'a.lei.HemH5921areוְהָי֨וּve.ha.YuH1961in your handבְּיָדְךָ֖be.ya.de.KhaH3027and in full view of the peopleלְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃le.'ei.nei.HemH5869,

22I will makeוְעָשִׂ֣יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213themאֹ֠תָם'O.tomH853oneאֶחָ֤ד'e.ChadH259nationלְג֨וֹיle.GoyH1471in the landבָּאָ֙רֶץ֙ba.'A.retzH776,on the mountainsבְּהָרֵ֣יbe.ha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and oneאֶחָ֛ד'e.ChadH259kingוּמֶ֧לֶךְu.Me.lekhH4428will rule overיִֽהְיֶ֥ה לְמֶ֑לֶךְyih.Yeh le.Me.lekhH1961 H4428all of themלְכֻלָּ֖םle.khu.LamH3605.Then they will noוְלֹ֤א עוֹד֙ve.Lo' 'OdH3808 H5750longerע֛וֹדodH5750beיִֽהְיוּyih.yeh-H1961twoלִשְׁנֵ֣יlish.NeiH8147nationsגוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471and will neverוְלֹ֨אve.Lo'H3808againעֽוֹד׃odH5750be dividedיֵחָ֥צוּye.Cha.tzuH2673into twoלִשְׁתֵּ֥יlish.TeiH8147kingdomsמַמְלָכ֖וֹתmam.la.KhotH4467.

23They will noוְלֹ֧אve.Lo'H3808longerע֗וֹדodH5750defile themselvesיִֽטַמְּא֣וּyi.ta.me.'UH2930with their idolsבְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙be.gi.lu.lei.HemH1544or detestable imagesוּבְשִׁקּ֣וּצֵיהֶ֔םu.ve.shi.Ku.tzei.HemH8251,or with anyוּבְכֹ֖לu.ve.KholH3605of their transgressionsפִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑םpish.'ei.HemH6588.I will saveוְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣יve.ho.sha'.TiH3467themאֹתָ֗ם'o.TamH853from allמִכֹּ֤לmi.KolH3605their apostasiesמוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיהֶם֙mo.she.vo.tei.HemH4186by whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834they sinnedחָטְא֣וּcha.te.'UH2398,and I will cleanse themוְטִהַרְתִּ֤יve.ti.har.TiH2891אוֹתָם֙'o.TamH853.Then they will beוְהָיוּ־ve.ha.yu-H1961Mypeopleלְעָ֔םle.'AmH5971,and Iוַאֲנִ֕יva.'a.NiH589will beאֶהְיֶ֥ה'eh.YehH1961theirGodלֵאלֹהִֽים׃le.lo.HimH430.

24My servantוְעַבְדִּ֤יve.'av.DiH5650Davidדָוִד֙da.VidH1732will be kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428over themעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם'a.lei.HemH5921,and there will beיִהְיֶ֣הyih.YehH1961oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259shepherdוְרוֹעֶ֥הve.ro.'EhH7462for all of themלְכֻלָּ֑םle.khu.LamH3605.They will followיֵלֵ֔כוּye.Le.khuH1980My ordinancesוּבְמִשְׁפָּטַ֣יu.ve.mish.pa.TaiH4941and keepיִשְׁמְר֖וּyish.me.RuH8104and observeוְעָשׂ֥וּve.'a.SuH6213My statutesוְחֻקֹּתַ֥יve.chu.ko.TaiH2708אוֹתָֽם׃'o.TamH853.

25They will liveוְיָשְׁב֣וּve.ya.she.VuH3427inעַל־'al-H5921the landהָאָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776thatאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834I gaveנָתַ֙תִּי֙na.Ta.tiH5414to My servantלְעַבְדִּ֣יle.'av.DiH5650Jacobלְיַֽעֲקֹ֔בle.ya.'a.KoH3290,whereאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834your fathersאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם'a.vo.tei.KhemH1livedיָֽשְׁבוּ־ya.she.vu-H3427.They will liveוְיָשְׁב֣וּve.ya.she.VuH3427thereעָלֶ֡יהָ הֵ֠מָּה'a.Lei.ha He.mahH5921 H1992foreverעַד־ עוֹלָ֔ם'ad- o.LamH5704 H5769with their childrenH1121and grandchildrenH1121,and My servantעַבְדִּ֔י'av.DiH5650Davidוְדָוִ֣דve.da.VidH1732will be their princeנָשִׂ֥יאna.Si'H5387foreverלְעוֹלָֽם׃le.'o.LamH5769.

26And I will makeוְכָרַתִּ֤יve.kha.ra.TiH3772a covenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285of peaceשָׁל֔וֹםsha.LomH7965with them;it will beיִהְיֶ֣ה אוֹתָ֑םyih.Yeh 'o.TamH1961 H854an everlastingעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769covenantבְּרִ֥יתbe.RitH1285.I will establish themוּנְתַתִּים֙u.ne.ta.TimH5414and multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֣יve.hir.bei.TiH7235themאוֹתָ֔ם'o.TamH853,and I will setוְנָתַתִּ֧יve.na.ta.TiH5414אֶת־'et-H853My sanctuaryמִקְדָּשִׁ֛יmik.da.ShiH4720among themבְּתוֹכָ֖םbe.to.KhamH8432foreverלְעוֹלָֽם׃le.'o.LamH5769.

27My dwelling placeמִשְׁכָּנִי֙mish.ka.NiH4908will beוְהָיָ֤הve.ha.YahH1961with themעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם'a.lei.HemH5921;I will beוְהָיִ֥יתִיve.ha.Yi.tiH1961theirGodלֵֽאלֹהִ֑יםle.lo.HimH430,and theyוְהֵ֖מָּהve.He.mahH1992will beיִֽהְיוּ־yih.yu-H1961Mypeopleלְעָֽם׃le.'AmH5971.
