1Then the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872, “Goבֹּ֖אbo'H935toאֶל־'el-H413Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֑הpar.'OhH6547and tell himוְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ve.di.bar.TaH1696thatאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413this is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of the Hebrewsהָֽעִבְרִ֔יםha.'iv.RimH5680,saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559: ‘Let My peopleעַמִּ֖י'a.MiH5971goשַׁלַּ֥חsha.LachH7971אֶת־'et-H853,so that they may worship Meוְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ve.Ya.'av.Du.niH5647.
3thenהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009the handיַד־yad-H3027of the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068will bringהוֹיָ֗הho.YahH1961a severeכָּבֵ֥ד מְאֹֽד׃ka.Ved me.'OdH3515H3966plagueדֶּ֖בֶרDe.verH1698on your livestockבְּמִקְנְךָ֙be.mik.ne.ChaH4735אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704—on your horsesבַּסּוּסִ֤יםba.su.SimH5483,donkeysבַּֽחֲמֹרִים֙ba.cha.mo.RimH2543,camelsבַּגְּמַלִּ֔יםba.ge.ma.LimH1581,herdsבַּבָּקָ֖רba.ba.KarH1241,and flocksוּבַצֹּ֑אןu.va.TzonH6629.
4But the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will make a distinctionוְהִפְלָ֣הve.hif.LahH6395betweenבֵּ֚יןbeinH996the livestockמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּבֵ֖יןYis.ra.'El u.VeinH3478H996and the livestockמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,so that noוְלֹ֥א דָּבָֽר׃ve.Lo' da.VarH3808H1697animalbelonging toמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605the Israelitesלִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖לliv.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121H3478will dieיָמ֛וּתya.MutH4191.’”
6And the next dayמִֽמָּחֳרָ֔תmi.mo.cho.RatH4283the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853הַדָּבָ֤רha.da.VarH1697didוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213just thatהַזֶּה֙ha.ZehH2088.Allכֹּ֖לkolH3605the livestockמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of the Egyptiansמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4713diedוַיָּ֕מָתvai.Ya.motH4191,but notלֹא־lo'-H3808oneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259animalוּמִמִּקְנֵ֥הu.mi.mik.NehH4735belonging to the Israelitesבְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.nei- Yis.ra.'ElH1121H3478diedמֵ֥תmetH4191.
7Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547sent officialsוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971and found thatוְהִנֵּ֗הve.hi.NehH2009noneלֹא־ אֶחָ֑דlo'- 'e.ChadH3808H259of the livestockמִמִּקְנֵ֥הmi.mik.NehH4735of the Israelitesיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עַד־Yis.ra.'El 'ad-H3478H5704had diedמֵ֛תmetH4191.But Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547heartלֵ֣בlevH3820was hardenedוַיִּכְבַּד֙vai.yikh.BadH3513,and he would notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808let the peopleהָעָֽם׃ פha.'AmH5971goשִׁלַּ֖חshi.LachH7971אֶת־'et-H853.
8Then the LORDיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאֶֽל־mo.Sheh ve.'el-H4872H413and Aaronאַהֲרֹן֒'a.ha.RonH175, “Takeקְח֤וּke.ChuH3947handfulsמְלֹ֣א חָפְנֵיכֶ֔םme.Lo' cha.fe.nei.KhemH4393H2651of sootפִּ֖יחַPi.achH6368from the furnaceכִּבְשָׁ֑ןkiv.ShanH3536;in the sightלְעֵינֵ֥יle.'ei.NeiH5869of Pharaohפַרְעֹֽה׃far.'OhH6547,Mosesמֹשֶׁ֛הmo.ShehH4872is to toss itוּזְרָק֥וֹu.ze.ra.KoH2236into the airהַשָּׁמַ֖יְמָהha.sha.May.mahH8064.
9It will becomeוְהָיָ֣הve.ha.YahH1961fine dustלְאָבָ֔קle.'a.VakH80overעַ֖ל'alH5921all theכָּל־kol-H3605landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,andוְהָיָ֨הve.ha.YahH1961festeringאֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֖ת'a.va'.bu.'OtH76boilsלִשְׁחִ֥יןlish.ChinH7822will break outפֹּרֵ֛חַpo.Re.achH6524onעַל־'al-H5921manהָאָדָ֜ם וְעַל־ha.'a.Dam ve.'al-H120H5921and beastהַבְּהֵמָ֗הha.be.he.MahH929throughoutבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃'E.retz mitz.Ra.yimH776H4714.”
10So they tookוַיִּקְח֞וּvai.yik.ChuH3947אֶת־'et-H853sootפִּ֣יחַPi.achH6368from the furnaceהַכִּבְשָׁ֗ןha.kiv.ShanH3536and stoodוַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙vai.ya.'am.DuH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Pharaohפַרְעֹ֔הfar.'OhH6547.Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872tossedוַיִּזְרֹ֥קvai.yiz.RokH2236itאֹת֛וֹ'o.ToH853into the airהַשָּׁמָ֑יְמָהha.sha.Ma.ye.mahH8064,andוַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961festeringאֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֔ת'a.va'.bu.'OtH76boilsשְׁחִין֙she.ChinH7822broke outפֹּרֵ֕חַpo.Re.achH6524on manבָּאָדָ֖םba.'a.DamH120and beastוּבַבְּהֵמָֽה׃u.va.be.he.MahH929.
11The magiciansהַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֗יםha.char.tu.MimH2748couldיָכְל֣וּya.khe.LuH3201notוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808standלַעֲמֹ֛דla.'a.ModH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872,becauseמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH6440the boilsהַשְּׁחִ֑יןha.she.ChinH7822כִּֽי־ki-H3588הַשְּׁחִ֔יןha.she.ChinH7822had broken outהָיָ֣הha.YahH1961onבַּֽחֲרְטֻמִּ֖םba.char.tu.MimH2748themand on allוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605the Egyptiansמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4713.
12But the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853hardenedוַיְחַזֵּ֤קvay.cha.ZekH2388Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547heartלֵ֣בlevH3820,and he would notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808listenשָׁמַ֖עsha.Ma'H8085to themאֲלֵהֶ֑ם'a.le.HemH413,just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֛רka.'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֖ה אֶל־Yah.weh 'el-H3068H413had saidדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ סmo.ShehH4872.
