Philippians 2
1If there is thereforeG3767 any exhortationG3874 in ChristG5547, if any consolation of loveG26, if any fellowshipG2842 of the SpiritG4151, if any tender mercies and compassions, 2make fullG4137 my joyG5479, that ye be of the sameG846 mindG5426, having the sameG846 loveG26, being of oneG1520 accord, of oneG1520 mindG5426; 3doing nothingG3367 through faction or through vainglory, but in lowliness of mind each counting otherG240 better than himself; 4not looking each of you to his ownG1438 things, but each of you alsoG2532 to the things of othersG2087. 5Have this mindG5426 in you, which was alsoG2532 in ChristG5547 JesusG2424: 6who, existing in the formG3444 of GodG2316, counted not the beingG1510 on an equality with GodG2316 a thingG3739 to beG1510 grasped, 7but emptied himself, takingG2983 the formG3444 of a servantG1401, being made in the likenessG3667 of menG444; 8and being found in fashion as a man, he humbledG5013 himself, becomingG1096 obedientG5255 even unto deathG2288, yea, the deathG2288 of the crossG4716. 9Wherefore alsoG2532 GodG2316 highly exalted him, and gave unto him the nameG3686 which is above every nameG3686; 10that in the nameG3686 of JesusG2424 every kneeG1119 should bowG2578, of thingsG3956 in heaven and thingsG3956 on earth and thingsG3956 under the earth, 11and that every tongueG1100 should confessG1843 that JesusG2424 ChristG5547 is LordG2962, to the gloryG1391 of GodG2316 the FatherG3962.
12So then, my belovedG27, evenG2532 as ye have alwaysG3842 obeyedG5219, not as in my presenceG3952 onlyG3440, but nowG3568 muchG4183 moreG3123 in my absence, workG2716 out your ownG1438 salvationG4991 with fearG5401 and trembling; 13for it isG1510 GodG2316 who worketh in you both to will and to workG1754, for his goodG2107 pleasureG2107. 14Do all thingsG3956 without murmurings and questionings: 15that ye may becomeG1096 blamelessG273 and harmless, childrenG5043 of GodG2316 without blemish in the midstG3319 of a crookedG4646 and perverse generationG1074, among whom ye are seen as lights in the worldG2889, 16holding forth the wordG3056 of lifeG2222; that I may have whereof to glory in the dayG2250 of ChristG5547, that I did not runG5143 in vainG2756 neither laborG2872 in vainG2756. 17Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrificeG2378 and serviceG3009 of your faithG4102, I joy, and rejoiceG5463 with you all: 18and in the sameG846 manner do ye alsoG2532 joy, and rejoiceG5463 with me.
19But I hopeG1679 in the LordG2962 JesusG2424 to sendG3992 TimothyG5095 shortly unto you, that I alsoG1161 may be of good comfort, when I knowG1097 your state. 20For I have no man likeminded, who will care truly for your state. 21For they all seekG2212 their ownG1438, not the thingsG3956 of JesusG2424 ChristG5547. 22But ye knowG1097 the proofG1382 of him, that, as a childG5043 serveth a fatherG3962, so he servedG1398 with me in furtherance of the gospelG2098. 23Him thereforeG3767 I hopeG1679 to sendG3992 forthwith, so soon as I shall see howG5613 it will go with me: 24but I trustG3982 in the LordG2962 that I myself alsoG2532 shall comeG2064 shortly. 25But I counted it necessaryG316 to sendG3992 to you EpaphroditusG1891, my brotherG80 and fellow-worker and fellow-soldier, and your messengerG652 and ministerG3011 to my needG5532; 26since he longed after you all, and wasG1510 sore troubled, because ye had heardG191 that he wasG1510 sickG770: 27for indeed he was sickG770 nigh unto deathG2288: but GodG2316 had mercyG1653 on him; and not on him onlyG3441, but on me alsoG2532, that I might not have sorrowG3077 upon sorrowG3077. 28I have sentG3992 him thereforeG3767 the more diligently, that, when ye seeG3708 him againG3825, ye may rejoiceG5463, and that I may beG1510 the less sorrowful. 29ReceiveG4327 him thereforeG3767 in the LordG2962 with all joyG5479; and holdG2192 suchG5108 in honor: 30because for the workG2041 of ChristG5547 he came nigh unto deathG2288, hazarding his lifeG5590 to supply that which was lackingG5303 in your serviceG3009 toward me.
