John 13:2-9
And during supperG1173, the devilG1228 having alreadyG2235 putG906 into the heartG2588 of JudasG2455 IscariotG2469, Simon’s son, to betrayG3860 him,
Jesus, knowing that the FatherG3962 had givenG1325 all thingsG3956 into his handsG5495, and that he cameG1831 forthG1831 from GodG2316, and goeth unto GodG2316,
riseth from supperG1173, and layeth aside his garmentsG2440; and he tookG2983 a towelG3012, and girdedG1241 himself.
Then he poureth waterG5204 into the basin, and beganG757 to washG3538 the disciples’G3101 feetG4228, and to wipe them with the towelG3012 wherewith he wasG1510 girdedG1241.
So he cometh to SimonG4613 PeterG4074. He saith unto him, LordG2962, dost thou washG3538 my feetG4228?
JesusG2424 answeredG611 and saidG3004 unto him, What I do thou knowest not nowG1161; but thou shalt understandG1097 hereafter.
PeterG4074 saith unto him, Thou shalt never washG3538 my feetG4228. JesusG2424 answeredG611 him, If I washG3538 thee not, thou hast no partG3313 with me.
SimonG4613 PeterG4074 saith unto him, LordG2962, not my feetG4228 onlyG3440, but alsoG2532 my handsG5495 and my headG2776.
