Acts 13:23-28
23Of this man’sG3778 seedG4690 hath GodG2316 accordingG2596 to promiseG1860 broughtG71 unto IsraelG2474 a Saviour, JesusG2424; 24when JohnG2491 had first preached before his coming the baptismG908 of repentanceG3341 to all the peopleG2992 of IsraelG2474. 25And as JohnG2491 wasG1510 fulfilling his courseG1408, he saidG3004, What suppose ye that I amG1510? I amG1510 not he. But beholdG2400, there cometh oneG3739 after me the shoes of whose feetG4228 I amG1510 not worthyG514 to unloose. 26Brethren, children of the stock of AbrahamG11, and those among you that fearG5399 GodG2316, to us is the wordG3056 of this salvationG4991 sent forthG1821. 27For they that dwellG2730 in JerusalemG2419, and their rulersG758, because they knew him not, nor the voicesG5456 of the prophetsG4396 which are readG314 every sabbathG4521, fulfilled them by condemning him. 28And though they foundG2147 no causeG156 of deathG2288 in him, yet askedG154 they of PilateG4091 that he should be slain.
