Samuel 19:1-6
And SaulH7586 spake to JonathanH3129 his sonH1121, and to all his servantsH5650, that they should slay DavidH1732. But JonathanH3129, Saul’s sonH1121, delighted much in DavidH1732.
And JonathanH3083 toldH5046 DavidH1732, sayingH559, SaulH7586 my fatherH1 seeketh to slay thee: nowH6258 thereforeH6258, I pray thee, takeH8104 heedH8104 to thyself in the morningH1242, and abide in a secret place, and hideH2244 thyself:
and I will goH3318 out and standH5975 beside my fatherH1 in the fieldH7704 whereH834 thou art, and I will commune with my fatherH1 of thee; and if I seeH7200 aught, I will tellH5046 thee.
And JonathanH3083 spake goodH2896 of DavidH1732 unto SaulH7586 his fatherH1, and saidH559 unto him, Let not the kingH4428 sinH2398 against his servantH5650, against DavidH1732; because he hath not sinnedH2398 against thee, and because his worksH4639 have been to thee-ward veryH3966 goodH2896:
for he putH4191 his lifeH5315 in his handH3709, and smote the PhilistineH6430, and Jehovah wrought a greatH1419 victoryH8668 for all IsraelH3478: thou sawest it, and didst rejoiceH8055; wherefore then wilt thou sinH2398 against innocentH5355 bloodH1818, to slay DavidH1732 without a causeH2600?
And SaulH7586 hearkened unto the voiceH6963 of JonathanH3083: and SaulH7586 sware, As Jehovah liveth, he shall not be putH4191 to deathH4191.
