Revised Version 1895
Psalms 10:2-13
In the prideH1346 of the wickedH7563 the poorH6041 is hotlyH1814 pursuedH1814; let them be takenH8610 in the devicesH4209 that they have imagined.
For the wickedH7563 boasteth of his heart’sH5315 desireH8378, and the covetous renounceth, yeaH3588, contemneth the LORDH3068.
The wickedH7563, in the prideH1363 of his countenanceH639, saith, He will notH369 requireH1875 it. AllH3605 his thoughtsH4209 are, There is noH369 GodH430.
His waysH1870 are firm at allH3605 timesH6256; thy judgmentsH4941 are farH3605 aboveH4791 outH3605 of his sightH5048: as for allH3605 his adversariesH6887, he puffeth at them.
He saith in his heartH3820, I shall notH3808 be movedH4131: to allH1755 generationsH1755 I shall notH3808 be in adversity.
His mouthH6310 is fullH4390 of cursing and deceitH4820 and oppressionH8496: underH8478 his tongueH3956 is mischiefH5999 and iniquityH205.
He sitteth in the lurkingH3993 placesH4565 of the villages: in the covert placesH4565 doth he murder the innocentH5355: his eyesH5869 are privily setH3427 againstH5869 the helpless.
He lurketh in the covert as a lionH738 in his den: he lieth in waitH693 to catchH2414 the poorH6041: he doth catchH2414 the poorH6041, when he draweth him in his netH7568.
He saith in his heartH3820, GodH410 hath forgottenH7911: he hideth his faceH6440; he will neverH1077 seeH7200 it.
