Jerusalem Is Warned

1WoeH1945, 1ArielH740, 2ArielH740 the cityH7151 where DavidH1732 once 3campedH2583! AddH3254 yearH8141 to yearH8141, 45keepH5362 your feastsH2282 onH5362 scheduleH5362.2I will bringH6693 distressH6693 to ArielH740, And she will be a city of grievingH8386 and 6mourningH592; And she will be like an 7ArielH740 to me.3I will 8campH2583 againstH5921 you 9encirclingH1754 you, And I will setH6696 upH6696 siegeworksH4674 againstH5921 you, And I will raiseH6965 upH6965 battleH4694 towersH4694 againstH5921 you.4Then you will 10be broughtH8213 lowH8213; From the earthH776 you will speakH1696, And from the dustH6083 where you are prostrateH7817 Your wordsH565 will come. Your voiceH6963 will also be like that of a 11spiritH178 from the groundH776, And your speechH565 will whisperH6850 from the dustH6083.

5But the multitudeH1995 of your 12enemiesH2114 will becomeH1961 like fineH1851 13dustH80, And the multitudeH1995 of the 14ruthlessH6184 onesH6184 like the chaffH4671 which 15blowsH5674 awayH5674; And it will happenH1961 16instantlyH6621, suddenlyH6597.6From the LordH3068 of armiesH6635 you will be 17punishedH6485 with 18thunderH7482 and earthquakeH7494 and loudH1419 noiseH6963, With whirlwindH5492 and tempestH5591 and the flameH3851 of a consumingH398 fireH784.7And the 19multitudeH1995 of allH3605 the nationsH1471 who wageH6633 warH6633 againstH5921 20ArielH740, Even allH3605 who wageH6633 warH6633 against her and her strongholdH4685, and who distressH6693 her, Will be like a dreamH2472, a 21visionH2377 of the nightH3915.8It will be as whenH3512 a hungryH7457 personH7457 dreamsH2492-- And beholdH2009, he is eatingH398; But when he awakensH7019, his 22hungerH5315 is not satisfiedH7386, Or as whenH3512 a thirstyH6771 personH6771 dreamsH2492-- And beholdH2009, he is drinkingH8354, But when he awakensH7019, beholdH2009, he is faintH5889 And his 23thirstH5315 is not quenchedH8264. 24SoH3651 will the multitudeH1995 of allH3605 the nationsH1471 be Who wageH6633 warH6633 againstH5921 MountH2022 ZionH6726.

925Be delayedH4102 and horrifiedH8539, BlindH8173 yourselves and be blindH8173; They 26becomeH7937 drunkH7937, but not with wineH3196, They staggerH5128, but not with intoxicatingH7941 drinkH7941.10For the LordH3068 has pouredH5258 overH5921 you a spiritH7307 of deepH8639 27sleepH8639, He has 28shutH6105 your eyesH5869--the prophetsH5030; And He has coveredH3680 your headsH7218--the seersH2374. 11The entireH3605 visionH2380 will be to you like the wordsH1697 of a sealedH2856 2930bookH5612, whichH834, when they giveH5414 it to the one who 31is literateH3045H5612, sayingH559, “PleaseH4994 readH7121 thisH2088,” he will sayH559, “I cannotH3201H3808, becauseH3588 it is sealedH2856.” 12Then the 32bookH5612 will be givenH5414 to the one whoH834 33is illiterateH3808H3045H5612, sayingH559, “PleaseH4994 readH7121 thisH2088.” And he will sayH559, “I 34cannotH3808 readH3045H5612.”

13Then the LordH136 saidH559, “BecauseH3282H3588 35thisH2088 peopleH5971 approachesH5066 Me with their 36wordsH6310 And honorsH3513 Me with their lipsH8193, But their heartH3820 isH7368 farH7368 awayH7368 from Me, And their 37reverenceH3372 for Me 38consistsH1961 of the commandmentH4687 of menH376 that is taughtH3925;14ThereforeH3651 beholdH2009, I will once againH3254 dealH6381 39marvelouslyH6381 with thisH2088 peopleH5971, wondrouslyH6382 marvelousH6381; And 40the wisdomH2451 of their wiseH2450 menH2450 will perishH6, And the understandingH998 of their menH995 whoH995 haveH995 understandingH995 will be concealedH5641.”

15WoeH1945 to those who deeplyH6009 41hideH5641 their 42plansH6098 from the LordH3068, And whose 43deedsH4639 are done in a darkH4285 placeH4285, And they sayH559, “44WhoH4310 seesH7200 us?” or “WhoH4310 knowsH3045 us?”16You turnH2016 things aroundH2016! Shall the potterH3335 be consideredH2803 45as equal with the clayH2563, That 46whatH4639 is madeH4639 would sayH559 to its makerH6213, “He did not makeH6213 me”; Or whatH3336 is formedH3335 sayH559 to him who formedH3335 it, “He has noH3808 understandingH995”?

Blessing after Discipline

17Is it not yetH5750 just a littleH4592 whileH4592 47Before LebanonH3844 will be turnedH7725 into a 48fertileH3759 fieldH3759, And the fertileH3759 fieldH3759 will be consideredH2803 as a forestH3293?18On that dayH3117 those who are 49deafH2795 will hearH8085 50wordsH1697 of a bookH5612, And out of their gloomH652 and darknessH2822 the 51eyesH5869 of those who are blindH5787 will seeH7200.19The 52afflictedH6035 also will increaseH3254 their joyH8057 in the LordH3068, And the 53needyH34 of mankindH120 will rejoiceH1523 in the HolyH6918 OneH6918 of IsraelH3478.20For the 54ruthlessH6184 will comeH656 toH656 anH656 endH656 and the 55scornerH3917 will be finishedH3615, Indeed 56allH3605 who 57areH8245 intentH8245 onH8245 doingH8245 evilH205 will be eliminatedH3772,21Who 58cause a personH120 to be indictedH2398 by a wordH1697, And 59setH6983 aH6983 trapH6983 for the arbitratorH3198 at the gateH8179, And 6061defraudH5186 the oneH6662 inH6662 theH6662 rightH6662 with 62meaninglessH8414 argumentsH8414.

22ThereforeH3651 thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068, whoH834 redeemedH6299 63AbrahamH85, saysH559 concerningH413 the houseH1004 of JacobH3290: “JacobH3290 64will not beH954 ashamedH954 nowH6258, norH3808 will his faceH6440 turnH2357 paleH2357 nowH6258;23But whenH3588 65he seesH7200 his 66childrenH3206, the 67workH4639 of My handsH3027, in his midstH7130, They will sanctifyH6942 My nameH8034; Indeed, they will 68sanctifyH6942 the HolyH6918 OneH6918 of JacobH3290, And will standH6206 inH6206 aweH6206 of the GodH430 of IsraelH3478.24Those who 69errH8582 in 70mindH7307 will 71knowH3045 72the truthH998, And those who 73criticizeH7279 will 7475acceptH3925 instructionH3948.
