Prophecy about Damascus

1The 1pronouncementH4853 concerning 2DamascusH1834: “BeholdH2009, DamascusH1834 is about to be 3removedH5493 from being a cityH5892 And will becomeH1961 a 4fallenH4654 ruinH4596.2The citiesH5892 5of 6AroerH6177 are abandonedH5800; They will be for 7herdsH5739 8to lieH7257 downH7257 in, And thereH369 willH369 beH369 9noH369 oneH369 to frightenH2729 them.3The 1011fortifiedH4013 cityH4013 will disappearH7673 from EphraimH669, And 12sovereigntyH4467 from DamascusH1834 And the remnantH7605 of AramH758; They will be like the 13gloryH3519 of the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478,” DeclaresH5002 the LordH3068 of armiesH6635.

4Now on that dayH3117 the 14gloryH3519 of JacobH3290 will 15fadeH1809, And 16the fatnessH4924 of his fleshH1320 will becomeH7329 leanH7329.5It will be 17like the 18reaperH622 gatheringH7105 the standingH7054 grainH7054, As his armH2220 harvestsH7114 the earsH7641, Or it will be like one gleaningH3950 earsH7641 ofH7641 grainH7641 In the 19ValleyH6010 of RephaimH7497.6Yet 20gleaningsH5955 will be leftH7604 in it like the 21shakingH5363 of an oliveH2132 treeH2132, TwoH8147 or threeH7969 olivesH1620 on the topmostH7218H534 branchH534, FourH702 or fiveH2568 on the branchesH5585 of a fruitfulH6509 treeH6509, DeclaresH5002 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478.7On that dayH3117 manH120 will 22lookH8159 to his MakerH6213 And his eyesH5869 will lookH7200 to the HolyH6918 OneH6918 of IsraelH3478.8And he will not lookH8159 to the 23altarsH4196, the workH4639 of his handsH3027, NorH3808 will he lookH7200 to that whichH834 his 24fingersH676 have madeH6213, Even the 2526AsherimH842 and incenseH2553 altarsH2553.9On that dayH3117 27their strongH4581 citiesH5892 will be like 28abandonedH5805 placesH5805 in the forestH2793, Or like branchesH534 whichH834 they abandonedH5800 beforeH4480H6440 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478; And 29the land will be a desolationH8077.10For 30you have forgottenH7911 the 31GodH430 of your salvationH3468 And have not rememberedH2142 the 32rockH6697 of your refugeH4581. ThereforeH5921H3651 you plantH5193 delightfulH5282 plantsH5194 And setH2232 them with vineH2156 shootsH2156 of a strangeH2114 god.11On the dayH3117 that you plantH5194 it you carefullyH5473 fenceH5473 it in, And in the 33morningH1242 you bringH6524 your seedH2233 toH6524 blossomH6524; But the harvestH7105 will 34fleeH5074 On a dayH3117 of illnessH2470 and incurableH605 painH3511.

12OhH1945, the uproarH1995 of manyH7227 peoplesH5971 35Who roarH1993 like the roaringH1993 of the seasH3220, And the rumblingH7588 of nationsH3816 Who rushH7582 on like the 36rumblingH7588 of mightyH3524 watersH4325!13The 37nationsH3816 rumbleH7582 on like the rumblingH7588 of manyH7227 watersH4325, But He will 38rebukeH1605 them, and they will fleeH5127 farH4801 awayH4801, And be chasedH7291 39like chaffH4671 on the mountainsH2022 beforeH6440 the windH7307, Or like whirlingH1534 dustH1534 beforeH6440 a galeH5492.14At eveningH6153 timeH6256, beholdH2009, there is terrorH1091! BeforeH2962 morningH1242 40they areH369 goneH369. ThisH2088 will be the 41fateH2506 of those who plunderH962 us And the lotH1486 of those who pillageH962 us.
