Isaiah 46

Babylon’s Idols and the True God

11BelH1078 has bowedH3766 downH3766, NeboH5015 stoopsH7164 overH7164; Their idolsH6091 have become loads for the animalsH2421 and the cattleH929. The thingsH5385 2that you carryH5385 are burdensomeH6006, A loadH4853 for the wearyH5889 animal.2They stoopedH7164 overH7164, they have bowedH3766 downH3766 togetherH3164; They couldH3201 not rescueH4422 the burdenH4853, But 3have themselvesH5315 4goneH1980 into captivityH7628.

3“5ListenH8085 to Me, houseH1004 of JacobH3290, And allH3605 6the remnantH7611 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, You who have been 7carriedH6006 by Me from 8birthH990 And have been carriedH5375 from the wombH7358;4Even to your oldH2209 ageH2209 9I 10will be the sameH1931, And evenH5704 to your 1112grayingH7872 yearsH7872 I will 13carryH5445 you! I have 14doneH6213 it, and I will bearH5375 you; And I will 15carryH5445 you and I will saveH4422 you.

5“16To whomH4310 would you likenH1819 Me And makeH7737 Me equalH7737, and compareH4911 Me, That we would beH1819 alikeH1819?6Those who 17lavishH2107 goldH2091 from the bagH3599 And weighH8254 silverH3701 on the scaleH7070, HireH7936 a goldsmithH6884, and he makesH6213 it into a godH410; They 18bowH5456 downH5456, indeedH637 they worshipH2331 it.7They 19liftH5375 it on the shoulderH3802, carryH5445 it, And setH5117 it inH8478 its placeH8478, and it standsH5975 there. 20It does not moveH4185 from its placeH4725. ThoughH637 one may shoutH6817 to it, it 21cannotH3808 answerH6030; It 22cannotH3808 saveH3467 him from his distressH6869.

8“23RememberH2142 thisH2088, and be 24assuredH847; 25RecallH7725 it to 26mindH3820, you 27wrongdoersH6586.9RememberH2142 the 28formerH7223 thingsH7223 longH5769 pastH5769, For I am GodH410, and thereH369 isH369 29noH369 otherH5750; I am GodH430, and there is 30noH657 oneH657 likeH3644 Me,10DeclaringH5046 the endH319 from the beginningH7225, And from ancientH6924 timesH6924 things whichH834 have not been doneH6213, SayingH559, ‘31My planH6098 will be establishedH6965, And I will accomplishH6213 allH3605 My goodH2656 pleasureH2656’;11CallingH7121 a 32birdH5861 ofH5861 preyH5861 from the 33eastH4217, The manH376 of 34My purposeH6098 from a distantH4801 countryH776. TrulyH637 I have 35spokenH1696; trulyH637 I will bringH935 it to passH935. I have plannedH3335 it, I will certainlyH637 doH6213 it.

12“36ListenH8085 to Me, you 37stubborn-mindedH47H3820, Who are 38farH7350 from righteousnessH6666.13I 39bringH7126 nearH7126 My righteousnessH6666, it isH7368 not farH7368 offH7368; And My salvationH8668 will not delayH309. And I will grantH5414 40salvationH8668 in ZionH6726, And My 41gloryH8597 for IsraelH3478.
