15For the heartκαρδίαkardiaG2588of thisτούτου,toutouG3778peopleλαοῦlaouG2992has becomeG3975dullἐπαχύνθηepachunthēG3975,With their earsὠσὶνōsinG3775they scarcelyβαρέωςbareōsG917hearἤκουσαν,ēkousanG191,And they have closedἐκάμμυσαν·ekammusanG2576their eyesὀφθαλμοὺςophthalmousG3788,OtherwiseG3379they might seeG3708with their eyesὀφθαλμοῖςophthalmoisG3788,HearἀκούσωσινakousōsinG191with their earsὠσὶνōsinG3775,UnderstandσυνῶσινsunōsinG4920with their heartκαρδίᾳkardiaG2588,and returnἐπιστρέψωσινepistrepsōsinG1994,And I would healἰάσομαιiasomaiG2390them.’

16But blessedμακάριοιmakarioiG3107are your eyesὀφθαλμοὶophthalmoiG3788,becauseὅτιhotiG3754they seeβλέπουσινblepousinG991;and your earsὦταōtaG3775,becauseὅτιhotiG3754they hearἀκούουσιν.¶akouousinG191.

17For trulyἈμὴνAmēnG281I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you thatmanyπολλοὶpolloiG4183prophetsπροφῆταιprophētaiG4396and righteousδίκαιοιdikaioiG1342peopleG1342longedἐπεθύμησανepethumēsanG1937to seeG3708whatἃhaG3739you seeβλέπετε,blepeteG991,and did not seeG3708it,and to hearἀκοῦσαιakousaiG191whatἃhaG3739you hearἀκούετε,akoueteG191,and did not hearἤκουσαν.¶ēkousanG191it.

18“ListenἀκούσατεakousateG191thenοὖνounG3767to the parableπαραβολὴνparabolēnG3850of the sowerσπείραντος·speirantosG4687.

19When anyoneπαντὸςpantosG3956hearsἀκούοντοςakouontosG191thewordλόγονlogonG3056of the kingdomβασιλείαςbasileiasG932and does not understandσυνιέντοςsunientosG4920it,the evilπονηρὸςponērosG4190onecomesἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064and snatchesG726awayἁρπάζειharpazeiG726whatG3588has been sownἐσπαρμένονesparmenonG4687in his heartκαρδίᾳkardiaG2588.ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the one sownσπαρείς.spareisG4687with seedbesideπαρὰparaG3844the roadὁδὸνhodonG3598.

20The one sownσπαρείς,spareisG4687with seedon the rockyπετρώδηpetrōdēG4075places, thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the one who hearsἀκούωνakouōnG191the wordλόγονlogonG3056and immediatelyG2117receivesλαμβάνωνlambanōnG2983it with joyχαρᾶςcharasG5479;

21yetG1161he hasἔχειecheiG2192noοὐκoukG3756firmrootῥίζανrhizanG4491in himselfἑαυτῷhe'autōG1438, but is onlytemporaryπρόσκαιρόςproskairosG4340,and when afflictionθλίψεωςthlipseōsG2347orἢēG2228persecutionδιωγμοῦdiōgmouG1375occursγενομένηςgenomenēsG1096becauseδιὰdiaG1223of thewordλόγονlogonG3056,immediatelyG2117hefallsG4624awayσκανδαλίζεται.skandalizetaiG4624.

22And the one sownσπαρείς,spareisG4687with seedamongεἰςeisG1519the thornsἀκάνθαςakanthasG173,thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the one who hearsἀκούων,akouōnG191the wordλόγονlogonG3056,and the anxietyμέριμναmerimnaG3308of theworldαἰῶνοςaiōnosG165and thedeceitfulnessἀπάτηapatēG539of wealthπλούτουploutouG4149chokeσυμπνίγειsumpnigeiG4846the wordλόγον,logonG3056, and itbecomesγίνεται.ginetaiG1096unfruitfulἄκαρποςakarposG175.

23But the one sownσπαρείς,spareisG4687with seedon the goodκαλὴνkalēnG2570soilγῆνgēnG1093,thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the one who hearsἀκούωνakouōnG191the wordλόγονlogonG3056and understandsσυνιείς,sunieisG4920it, whoὃςhosG3739indeedδὴdēG1211bearsG2592fruitκαρποφορεῖkarpophoreiG2592and producesποιεῖ,poieiG4160,someὃ μὲνho menG3739 G3303a hundredἑκατόν,hekatonG1540,someὃhoG3739sixtyἑξήκοντα,hexēkontaG1835,and someὃhoG3739thirtyτριάκοντα.¶triakontaG5144times as much.”
