3ButJesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424wentἀνῆλθενanēlthenG424up on the mountainὄροςorosG3735,and thereἐκεῖekeiG1563He satἐκάθητοekathētoG2521with His disciplesμαθητῶνmathētōnG3101.

4NowδὲdeG1161the PassoverπάσχαpaschaG3957,the feastἑορτὴhe'ortēG1859of the JewsἸουδαίων.¶IoudaiōnG2453,was nearἐγγὺςengusG1451.

5SoοὖνounG3767JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424,after raisingἘπάραςEparasG1869His eyesὀφθαλμοὺςophthalmousG3788and seeingθεασάμενοςtheasamenosG2300that a largeπολὺςpolusG4183crowdὄχλοςochlosG3793was comingἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064to Him, saidλέγειlegeiG3004toPhilipΦίλιππον·PhilipponG5376,“WhereπόθενpothenG4159are we to buyἀγοράσωμενagorasōmenG59breadἄρτους,artousG740soG2443thatG2443theseοὗτοι;houtoiG3778peoplemay eatG2068?”

6But He was sayingἔλεγενelegenG3004thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778only totestπειράζωνpeirazōnG3985him, for He HimselfG846knewG3609whatτίtiG5101He intendedἔμελλενemellenG3195to doποιεῖν.poieinG4160.

11JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424thenοὖνounG3767tookἔλαβενelabenG2983the loavesἄρτουςartousG740, andafter givingG2168thanksεὐχαριστήσαςeucharistēsasG2168He distributedδιέδωκενdiedōkenG1239themto thoseG3588who were recliningἀνακειμένοις,anakeimenoisG345;likewiseὁμοίωςhomoiōsG3668alsoG2532of thefishὀψαρίωνopsariōnG3795,as muchὅσονhosonG3745as they wantedἤθελον.ēthelonG2309.

12And whenὡςhōsG5613they had eatenG1705their fillἐνεπλήσθησανeneplēsthēsanG1705,He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to HisdisciplesμαθηταῖςmathētaisG3101,“GatherσυναγάγετεsunagageteG4863upG4863the leftoverπερισσεύσανταperisseusantaG4052piecesκλάσματαklasmataG2801soἵναinaG2443thatG2443nothingμή τιmē tiG3361 G5100will be lostἀπόληται.apolētaiG622.”

14ThereforeοὖνounG3767when the peopleἄνθρωποιanthrōpoiG444sawG3708thesignσημεῖονsēmeionG4592whichὃhoG3739He had performedἐποίησενepoiēsenG4160,they saidἔλεγονelegonG3004, “ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is trulyἀληθῶςalēthōsG230theProphetπροφήτηςprophētēsG4396who is to comeἐρχόμενοςerchomenosG2064into the worldκόσμον.¶kosmonG2889.”
