12On the nextἐπαύριονepaurionG1887dayG1887, whenthe largeπολὺςpolusG4183crowdὄχλοςochlosG3793that had comeἐλθὼνelthōnG2064tothe feastἑορτήν,he'ortēnG1859heardἀκούσαντεςakousantesG191that JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424was comingἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064to JerusalemἹεροσόλυμα,Hi'erosolumaG2414,

13they tookἔλαβονelabonG2983the branchesβαΐαbaiaG902of the palmφοινίκωνphoinikōnG5404treesG5404and wentG1831outG1831to meetὑπάντησινhupantēsinG5222Him, and beganshoutingἐκραύγαζον·ekraugazonG2905, “Hosannaὡσαννά,hōsannaG5614!BlessedεὐλογημένοςeulogēmenosG2127is He who comesἐρχόμενοςerchomenosG2064in the nameὀνόματιonomatiG3686of the LordκυρίουkuriouG2962,indeedG2532, theKingβασιλεὺςbasileusG935of IsraelἸσραήλ.¶IsraēlG2474!”

14JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424,findingΕὑρὼνHeurōnG2147a youngG3678donkeyG3678,satἐκάθισενekathisenG2523on it; as it is writtenγεγραμμένον·gegrammenonG1125:

15“Do not fearφοβοῦphobouG5399,daughterθυγάτηρthugatērG2364of ZionΣιών·SiōnG4622;beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,your KingβασιλεύςbasileusG935is comingἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064,seatedκαθήμενοςkathēmenosG2521on a donkey’sὄνου.onouG3688coltπῶλονpōlonG4454.”

16TheseG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778His disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101did not understandἔγνωσανegnōsanG1097at the firstπρῶτον,prōtonG4413;but whenὅτεhoteG3753JesusἸησοῦς,IēsousG2424was glorifiedἐδοξάσθηedoxasthēG1392,thenτότεtoteG5119they rememberedἐμνήσθησανemnēsthēsanG3403that theseG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778were writtenγεγραμμέναgegrammenaG1125of Him, and that they had doneἐποίησανepoiēsanG4160theseG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778for Him.

17SoοὖνounG3767thepeopleὄχλοςochlosG3793,who were with Him whenὅτεhoteG3753He calledἐφώνησενephōnēsenG5455LazarusΛάζαρονLazaronG2976out of the tombμνημείουmnēmeiouG3419and raisedἤγειρενēgeirenG1453him from the deadνεκρῶν.nekrōnG3498,continued to testifyἘμαρτύρειEmartureiG3140about Him.

18For thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778reasonδιὰdiaG1223alsoκαὶkaiG2532thepeopleὄχλος,ochlosG3793wentG5221toG5221meetG5221Him,becauseὅτιhotiG3754they heardἤκουσανēkousanG191that He had performedπεποιηκέναιpepoiēkenaiG4160thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778signσημεῖον.¶sēmeionG4592.

19SoοὖνounG3767the PhariseesΦαρισαῖοιPharisaioiG5330saidG3004to oneG1438anotherG1438, “You seeθεωρεῖτεtheōreiteG2334that you are not accomplishingὠφελεῖτεōpheleiteG5623anythingοὐδέν;oudenG3762;lookἴδεideG2396,the worldκόσμοςkosmosG2889has goneἀπῆλθεν.¶apēlthenG565afterὀπίσωopisōG3694Him!”
