21Alsoגַּם־gam-H1571hermercenariesH7917in her midstבְקִרְבָּהּ֙ve.kir.BahH7130Are like fattenedמַרְבֵּ֔קmar.BekH4770calvesכְּעֶגְלֵ֣יke.'eg.LeiH5695,For they tooגַם־gam-H1571have turnedהִפְנ֛וּhif.NuH6437awayH6437andhave fledנָ֥סוּNa.suH5127togetherH3164;They did not standעָמָ֑דוּ'a.Ma.duH5975their ground.For the dayי֥וֹםYomH3117of their disasterאֵידָ֛ם'ei.DamH343has comeבָּ֥אba'H935upon them,The timeעֵ֥ת'etH6256of theirpunishmentפְּקֻדָּתָֽם׃pe.ku.da.TamH6486.

22Its soundקוֹלָ֖הּko.LahH6963movesיֵלֵ֑ךְye.LekhH1980along like a serpentכַּנָּחָ֣שׁka.na.ChashH5175;For they moveיֵלֵ֔כוּye.Le.khuH1980onlike an armyבְחַ֣יִלve.Cha.yilH2428And comeבָּ֣אוּBa.'uH935to her as woodcuttersכְּחֹטְבֵ֖יke.cho.te.VeiH2404with axesוּבְקַרְדֻּמּוֹת֙u.ve.kar.du.mOtH7134.

23They have cutכָּרְת֤וּka.re.TuH3772downH3772herforestיַעְרָהּ֙ya'.RahH3293,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068; “Certainlyכִּ֖יkiH3588it will noלֹ֣אlo'H3808longerbe foundיֵֽחָקֵ֑רye.cha.KerH2713,Even thoughכִּ֤יkiH3588they areH7231moreH4480numerousH7231thanH4480locustsמֵֽאַרְבֶּ֔הme.'ar.BehH697And are withoutוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369numberמִסְפָּֽר׃mis.ParH4557.

25The Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֜וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478saysאָמַר֩'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009,I am going to punishפוֹקֵד֙fo.KedH6485Amonאָמ֣וֹן'a.MonH528ofThebesמִנֹּ֔אmi.No'H4996, andPharaohפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547,and Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714along with hergodsאֱלֹהֶ֖יהָ'e.lo.Hei.haH430and her kingsמְלָכֶ֑יהָme.la.Khei.haH4428,indeed, Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547and those whotrustהַבֹּטְחִ֖יםha.bo.te.ChimH982in him.

26I shall handH5414 H3027them overH5414to those who areseekingמְבַקְשֵׁ֣יme.vak.SheiH1245their livesנַפְשָׁ֔םnaf.ShamH5315,that is, to Nebuchadnezzarנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥רne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894and to hisofficersעֲבָדָ֑יו'a.va.DavH5650.Afterwardוְאַחֲרֵי־ כֵ֛ןve.'a.cha.rei- khenH310 H3651,however, it will be inhabitedתִּשְׁכֹּ֥ןtish.KonH7931as in the daysכִּֽימֵי־ki.mei-H3117of oldקֶ֖דֶםKe.demH6924,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.
