13“ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָאוֹת֙tze.va.'OtH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478saysאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559: ‘Goהָלֹ֤ךְha.LokhH1980and sayוְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ve.'a.mar.TaH559to the peopleלְאִ֣ישׁle.'IshH376of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063and the inhabitantsוּלְיֽוֹשְׁבֵ֖יu.le.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389, “Will you not acceptתִקְח֥וּtik.ChuH3947instructionמוּסָ֛רmu.SarH4148by listeningלִשְׁמֹ֥עַlish.Mo.a'H8085to My wordsדְּבָרַ֖יde.va.RaiH1697?”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

14“Thewordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of Jonadabיְהוֹנָדָ֣בye.ho.na.DavH3082the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵ֠כָבre.khoH7394have been followedהוּקַ֡םhu.KamH6965,whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he commandedצִוָּ֨הtzi.VahH6680his sonsבָּנָ֜יוba.NavH1121:not to drinkשְׁתֽוֹת־she.tot-H8354wineיַ֗יִןYa.yinH3196.And they do not drinkשָׁתוּ֙sha.TuH8354wineto thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117,for they have obeyedשָֽׁמְע֔וּsha.me.'UH8085their father’sאֲבִיהֶ֑ם'a.vi.HemH1commandמִצְוַ֣תmitz.VatH4687.But I have spokenדִּבַּ֤רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696to youagainהַשְׁכֵּ֣םhash.KemH7925and againוְדַבֵּ֔רve.da.BerH1696, yet you havenot listenedשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖םshe.ma'.TemH8085to Me.

15Also I have sentH7971to you allכָּל־kol-H3605Myservantsעֲבָדַ֣י'a.va.DaiH5650the prophetsהַנְּבִאִ֣ים׀ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030,sendingH7971themagainהַשְׁכֵּ֣יםhash.KeimH7925and againH7971,sayingלֵאמֹ֡רle.MorH559: ‘Turnשֻׁבוּ־shu.vu-H7725nowנָ֡אna'H4994everyH376personH376from his evilהָרָעָ֜הha.ra.'AhH7451wayמִדַּרְכּ֨וֹmi.dar.KoH1870and amendוְהֵיטִ֣יבוּve.hei.Ti.vuH3190your deedsמַֽעַלְלֵיכֶ֗םma.'a.lei.KhemH4611, anddo not followתֵּ֨לְכ֜וּ אַחֲרֵ֨יte.le.Khu 'a.cha.ReiH1980 H310otherאֲחֵרִים֙'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֤ים'E.lo.HimH430to worshipלְעָבְדָ֔םle.'a.ve.DamH5647them. Then you willliveוּשְׁבוּ֙u.she.VuH3427in the landהָ֣אֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I have givenנָתַ֥תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414to you and to your forefathersוְלַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑םve.la.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1; but you have notinclinedהִטִּיתֶם֙hi.ti.TemH5186your earאָזְנְכֶ֔ם'a.ze.ne.KhemH241or listenedשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖םshe.ma'.TemH8085to Me.

16Indeedכִּ֣יkiH3588,the sonsבְּנֵי֙be.NeiH1121of Jonadabיְהוֹנָדָ֣בye.ho.na.DavH3082the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָ֔בre.KhavH7394havefollowedהֵקִ֗ימוּhe.Ki.muH6965the commandמִצְוַ֥תmitz.VatH4687of their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֖ם'a.vi.HemH1whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he commandedצִוָּ֑םtzi.VamH6680them, but thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleוְהָעָ֣םve.ha.'AmH5971has not listenedשָׁמְע֖וּsha.me.'UH8085to Me.’”’

17Thereforeלָ֠כֵןLa.khenH3651thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֨ר'a.MarH559,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of armiesצְבָאוֹת֙tze.va.'OtH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478: ‘BeholdH2009,I am bringingמֵבִ֣יאme.Vi'H935on Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063and on allכָּל־kol-H3605the inhabitantsיֽוֹשְׁבֵי֙yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389allכָּל־kol-H3605the disasterH7463that I have pronouncedדִּבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696againstעֲלֵיהֶ֑ם'a.lei.HemH5921them; becauseיַ֣עַןYa.'anH3282Ispokeדִּבַּ֤רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696to them but they did not listenשָׁמֵ֔עוּsha.Me.'uH8085,and I have calledוָאֶקְרָ֥אva.'ek.Ra'H7121them but they did not answerעָנֽוּ׃'a.NuH6030.’”
