26Then the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961to Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

27“Beholdהִנֵּה֙hi.NehH2009,I am the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, theGodאֱלֹהֵ֖י'e.lo.HeiH430of allכָּל־kol-H3605fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320;isH6381anythingכָּל־ דָּבָֽר׃kol- da.VarH3605 H1697tooהֲֽמִמֶּ֔נִּיhami.Me.niH4480difficultיִפָּלֵ֖אyi.pa.Le'H6381for Me?”

28Thereforeלָכֵ֕ןla.KhenH3651thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009, I am going tohandH5414 H3027thisH2088cityהָעִ֨ירha.'IrH5892overH5414to the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֗יםha.kas.DimH3778and to Nebuchadnezzarנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥רne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894,and he will takeוּלְכָדָֽהּ׃u.le.kha.DahH3920it.

29And the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֗יםha.kas.DimH3778who are fightingהַנִּלְחָמִים֙ha.nil.cha.MimH3898againstH5921thisH2088cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892will enterוּבָ֣אוּu.Va.'uH935andsetוְהִצִּ֜יתוּve.hi.Tzi.tuH3341thisH2088cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892on fireבָּאֵ֖שׁba.'EshH784and burnוּשְׂרָפ֑וּהָu.se.ra.Fu.haH8313it, with thehousesהַבָּתִּ֡יםha.ba.TimH1004whereאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834peoplehave offeredH6999incenseH6999to Baalלַבַּ֗עַלla.Ba.'alH1168on their roofsגַּגּֽוֹתֵיהֶ֜םga.go.tei.HemH1406and pouredוְהִסִּ֤כוּve.hi.Si.khuH5258outH5258drinkנְסָכִים֙ne.sa.KhimH5262offeringsH5262to otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsלֵאלֹהִ֣יםle.lo.HimH430,to provokeהַכְעִסֵֽנִי׃hakh.'i.Se.niH3707Me toH3707angerH3707.

30For the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the sonsוּבְנֵ֣יu.ve.NeiH1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063have been doingעֹשִׂ֥ים'o.SimH6213onlyאַ֣ךְ'akhH389evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451in My sightבְּעֵינַ֖יbe.'ei.NaiH5869sinceH4480their youthH5272;for the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478have been onlyאַ֣ךְ'akhH389provokingH3707Me toH3707angerמַכְעִסִ֥יםmakh.'i.SimH3707by the workבְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥הbe.ma.'a.SehH4639of their handsיְדֵיהֶ֖םye.dei.HemH3027,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

31“Indeedכִּ֧יkiH3588thisH2088cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892has beenהָ֤יְתָהHa.ye.tahH1961to Me aprovocationH5921of My angerאַפִּ֣י'a.PiH639and My wrathחֲמָתִ֗יcha.ma.TiH2534sinceלְמִן־le.min-H4480the dayהַיּוֹם֙hai.yOmH3117that they builtבָּנ֣וּba.NuH1129it, even to thisH2088dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117, so that it should beremovedלַהֲסִירָ֖הּla.ha.si.RahH5493from My sightפָּנָֽי׃pa.NaiH6440,

32becauseעַל֩'alH5921of allכָּל־kol-H3605the evilH7463of the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the sonsוּבְנֵ֣יu.ve.NeiH1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834they have doneעָשׂוּ֙'a.SuH6213to provokeלְהַכְעִסֵ֔נִיle.hakh.'i.Se.niH3707Me toH3707angerH3707--they, theirkingsמַלְכֵיהֶם֙mal.khei.HemH4428,their leadersשָֽׂרֵיהֶ֔םsa.rei.HemH8269,their priestsכֹּהֲנֵיהֶ֖םko.ha.nei.HemH3548,their prophetsוּנְבִֽיאֵיהֶ֑םu.ne.vi.'ei.HemH5030,the menוְאִ֣ישׁve.'IshH376of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,and the inhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֵ֖יve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

33They have turnedוַיִּפְנ֥וּvai.yif.NuH6437theirbackעֹ֖רֶף'O.refH6203to Me and not theirfaceפָנִ֑יםfa.NimH6440; though ItaughtH3925them,teachingH3925againהַשְׁכֵּ֣םhash.KemH7925and againH3925,they would not listenשֹׁמְעִ֖יםsho.me.'ImH8085to acceptלָקַ֥חַתla.Ka.chatH3947disciplineמוּסָֽר׃mu.SarH4148.

34But theyputוַיָּשִׂ֣ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760their detestableשִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶ֗םshi.ku.tzei.HemH8251thingsH8251in the houseבַּבַּ֛יִתba.Ba.yitH1004whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834is calledנִקְרָֽא־nik.ra'-H7121by My nameשְׁמִ֥יshe.MiH8034,to defileלְטַמְּאֽוֹ׃le.ta.me.'OH2930it.

35They builtוַיִּבְנוּ֩vai.yiv.NuH1129thehighבָּמ֨וֹתba.MotH1116placesH1116of Baalהַבַּ֜עַלha.Ba.'alH1168that are in the Valleyבְּגֵ֣יאbe.Gei'H1516of Ben-hinnomבֶן־ הִנֹּ֗םven- hi.NomH1121 H2011to make their sonsבְּנֵיהֶ֣םbe.nei.HemH1121and their daughtersבְּנוֹתֵיהֶם֮be.no.tei.HemH1323passלְ֠הַעֲבִירLe.ha.'a.virH5674throughH5674the fire toMolechלַמֹּלֶךְ֒la.mo.leKhH4432,whichH834I had not commandedצִוִּיתִ֗יםtzi.vi.TimH6680them, norH3808had itenteredעָֽלְתָה֙'al.TahH5927My mindלִבִּ֔יli.BiH3820that they should doלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213thisH2088abominationהַתּוֹעֵבָ֣הha.to.'e.VahH8441,to mislead Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ סye.hu.DahH3063to sinהַחֲטִ֥יאha.cha.ti'H2398.

36“Nowוְעַתָּ֕הve.'a.TahH6258thereforeלָכֵ֛ןla.KhenH3651the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559the followingכֹּֽה־koh-H3541concerningאֶל־'el-H413thisH2088cityהָעִ֨ירha.'IrH5892of whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר׀'a.SherH834you sayאֹמְרִ֗ים'o.me.RimH559, ‘It has beenhandedבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH5414 H3027overH5414to the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894by swordבַּחֶ֖רֶבba.Che.revH2719,by famineוּבָרָעָ֥בu.va.ra.'AvH7458,and by plagueוּבַדָּֽבֶר׃u.va.Da.verH1698’:

37BeholdH2009, I am going togatherמְקַבְּצָם֙me.ka.be.TzamH6908them out of allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605the landsהָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776to whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834I have drivenהִדַּחְתִּ֥יםhi.dach.TimH5080them in My angerבְּאַפִּ֥יbe.'a.PiH639,in My wrathוּבַחֲמָתִ֖יu.va.cha.ma.TiH2534,and in greatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419indignationוּבְקֶ֣צֶףu.ve.Ke.tzefH7110;and I will bringוַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִים֙va.ha.shi.vo.TimH7725them backH7725to thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088placeהַמָּק֣וֹםha.ma.KomH4725andhave them liveוְהֹשַׁבְתִּ֖יםve.ho.shav.TimH3427in safetyלָבֶֽטַח׃la.Ve.tachH983.
