12She lustedעָגָ֜בָה'a.Ga.vahH5689afterאֶל־'el-H413theAssyriansבְּנֵי֩ אַשּׁ֨וּרbe.Nei 'a.ShurH1121 H804,governorsפַּח֨וֹתpa.ChotH6346and officialsוּסְגָנִ֤יםu.se.ga.NimH5461,the onesH7138nearH7138,opulentlyמִכְל֔וֹלmikh.LolH4358dressedלְבֻשֵׁ֣יle.vu.SheiH3847,horsemenפָּרָשִׁ֖יםpa.ra.ShimH6571ridingרֹכְבֵ֣יro.khe.VeiH7392on horsesסוּסִ֑יםsu.SimH5483,allכֻּלָּֽם׃ku.LamH3605of them handsomeחֶ֖מֶדChe.medH2531youngבַּח֥וּרֵיba.Chu.reiH970menH970.

13And I sawוָאֵ֖רֶאva.'E.re'H7200that she had defiledנִטְמָ֑אָהnit.Ma.'ahH2930herself; they bothלִשְׁתֵּיהֶֽן׃lish.tei.HenH8147tookthe sameאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259wayדֶּ֥רֶךְDe.rekhH1870.

14So she increasedוַתּ֖וֹסֶףva.To.sefH3254her obsceneH8457practicesH8457.And she sawוַתֵּ֗רֶאva.Te.re'H7200menH376carvedמְחֻקֶּ֣הme.chu.KehH2707on the wallהַקִּ֔ירha.KirH7023,imagesצַלְמֵ֣יtzal.MeiH6754of theChaldeansכַשְׂדִּ֔יםkhas.di.yimH3778drawnחֲקֻקִ֖יםcha.ku.KimH2710in brightH8350redH8350,

15wearingH2289beltsאֵז֜וֹר'e.ZorH232aroundH2289their waistsבְּמָתְנֵיהֶ֗םbe.ma.te.nei.HemH4975,with flowingסְרוּחֵ֤יse.ru.CheiH5628turbansטְבוּלִים֙te.vu.LimH2871on their headsבְּרָ֣אשֵׁיהֶ֔םbe.Ra.shei.HemH7218,allכֻּלָּ֑םku.LamH3605of them lookingמַרְאֵ֥הmar.'EhH4758like officersשָׁלִשִׁ֖יםsha.li.ShimH7991,likeדְּמ֤וּתde.MutH1823theBabyloniansבְּנֵֽי־ בָבֶל֙be.nei- va.VelH1121 H894inChaldeaכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםkas.DimH3778,the landאֶ֖רֶץ'E.retzH776of their birthמוֹלַדְתָּֽם׃mo.lad.TamH4138.

16Andwhen she sawלְמַרְאֵ֣ה עֵינֶ֑יהָle.mar.'Eh 'ei.Nei.haH4758 H5869them shelustedוַתַּעְגְּבָ֥הva.ta'.gavhH5689afterעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם'a.lei.HemH5921them and sentוַתִּשְׁלַ֧חva.tish.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִ֛יםmal.'a.KhimH4397to them in Chaldeaכַּשְׂדִּֽימָה׃kas.Di.mahH3778.

17And theBabyloniansבְנֵֽי־ בָבֶל֙ve.nei- va.VelH1121 H894cameוַיָּבֹ֨אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to her to the bedלְמִשְׁכַּ֣בle.mish.KavH4904of loveדֹּדִ֔יםdo.DimH1730and defiledH2930her with their obsceneH8457practiceH8457.And when she had beenH2930defiledH2930by them,she turnedH3363awayH3363from them inH3363disgustH3363.

18Sheexposedוַתְּגַל֙va.te.GalH1540her obsceneH8457practicesH8457and exposedוַתְּגַ֖לva.te.GalH1540her nakednessעֶרְוָתָ֑הּ'er.va.TahH6172; thenI turnedH3363awayH3363from her inH3363disgustH3363,justH3512asH3512I had turnedH5361awayH5361from hersisterאֲחוֹתָֽהּ׃'a.cho.TahH269inH5361disgustH5361.

19Yet she multipliedוַתַּרְבֶּ֖הva.tar.BehH7235her obsceneH8457practicesH8457,rememberingלִזְכֹּר֙liz.KorH2142the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117of her youthנְעוּרֶ֔יהָne.'u.Rei.haH5271,whenאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834she prostitutedזָנְתָ֖הza.ne.TahH2181herself in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

20Shelustedוַֽתַּעְגְּבָ֔הva.ta'.ge.VahH5689afterעַ֖ל'alH5921their loversפִּֽלַגְשֵׁיהֶ֑םpi.lag.shei.HemH6370,whoseאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834fleshבְּשַׂר־be.sar-H1320is likethe fleshבְּשָׂרָ֔םbe.sa.RamH1320of donkeysחֲמוֹרִים֙cha.mo.RimH2543and whose dischargeוְזִרְמַ֥תve.zir.MatH2231is likethe dischargeזִרְמָתָֽם׃zir.ma.TamH2231of horsesסוּסִ֖יםsu.SimH5483.

21So you longedH6485forH6485theoutrageousH2154sinH2154of your youthנְעוּרָ֑יִךְne.'u.Ra.yikhH5271, whenthe Egyptiansמִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714handledבַּעְשׂ֤וֹתba'.SotH6213your breastsדַּדַּ֔יִךְda.Da.yikhH1717becauseלְמַ֖עַןle.Ma.'anH4616of the breastsשְׁדֵ֥יshe.DeiH7699of your youthנְעוּרָֽיִךְ׃ סne.'u.Ra.yikhH5271.

22“Thereforeלָכֵ֣ןla.KhenH3651,Oholibahאָהֳלִיבָ֗ה'o.ho.li.VahH172,thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068saysאָמַר֮'a.MarH559: ‘BeholdH2009I am going to inciteמֵעִ֤ירme.'IrH5782your loversמְאַהֲבַ֙יִךְ֙me.'a.ha.Va.yikhH157againstעָלַ֔יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921you, from whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you turnedH5361awayH5361inH5361disgustH5361,and I will bringוַהֲבֵאתִ֥יםva.ha.ve.TimH935them againstעָלַ֖יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921you from everyH5439sideH5439:

24And they will comeוּבָ֣אוּu.Va.'uH935againstעָלַ֡יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921you with weaponsהֹ֠צֶןHo.tzenH2021,chariotsרֶ֤כֶבRe.khevH7393, andwagonsוְגַלְגַּל֙ve.gal.GalH1534,and with a contingentוּבִקְהַ֣לu.vik.HalH6951of peoplesעַמִּ֔ים'a.MimH5971.They will attackיָשִׂ֥ימוּ עָלַ֖יִךְya.Si.mu 'a.La.yikhH7760 H5921you on everyH5439sideH5439with shieldצִנָּ֤הtzi.NahH6793,bucklerוּמָגֵן֙u.ma.GenH4043,and helmetוְקוֹבַ֔עve.ko.Va'H6959;and I will commitוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414thejudgmentמִשְׁפָּ֔טmish.PatH4941to them, and they will judgeוּשְׁפָט֖וּךְu.she.fa.TukhH8199you according to their customsבְּמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶֽם׃be.mish.pe.tei.HemH4941.

25I will setוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414Myjealousyקִנְאָתִ֜יkin.'a.TiH7068against you, so that they may dealוְעָשׂ֤וּve.'a.SuH6213with you in wrathבְּחֵמָ֔הbe.che.MahH2534.They will removeיָסִ֔ירוּya.Si.ruH5493your noseאַפֵּ֤ךְ'a.PekhH639and your earsוְאָזְנַ֙יִךְ֙ve.'a.ze.Na.yikhH241; and yoursurvivorsוְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְve.'a.cha.ri.TekhH319will fallתִּפּ֑וֹלti.PolH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֣רֶבba.Che.revH2719.They will takeיִקָּ֔חוּyi.Ka.chuH3947yoursonsבָּנַ֤יִךְba.Na.yikhH1121and your daughtersוּבְנוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙u.ve.no.Ta.yikhH1323; and yoursurvivorsוְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְve.'a.cha.ri.TekhH319will be consumedתֵּאָכֵ֥לte.'a.KhelH398by the fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784.

26They will alsostripוְהִפְשִׁיט֖וּךְve.hif.shi.TukhH6584you of your clothesבְּגָדָ֑יִךְbe.ga.Da.yikhH899and takeוְלָקְח֖וּve.la.ke.ChuH3947away yourbeautifulתִפְאַרְתֵּֽךְ׃tif.'ar.TekhH8597jewelryכְּלֵ֥יke.LeiH3627.

27SoI will removeוְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֤יve.hish.ba.TiH7673from you your outrageousH2154sinH2154and your prostitutionזְנוּתֵ֖ךְze.nu.TekhH2184that you broughtfrom the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,so that you will not raiseתִשְׂאִ֤יtis.'IH5375your eyesעֵינַ֙יִךְ֙'ei.Na.yikhH5869to them or rememberתִזְכְּרִי־tiz.ke.ri-H2142Egyptוּמִצְרַ֖יִםu.mitz.Ra.yimH4714anymoreעֽוֹד׃ סodH5750.’

28For thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: ‘BeholdH2009,I am going to handH5414 H3027you overH5414to those whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834youhateשָׂנֵ֑אתsa.NetH8130,to those from whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you turnedH5361awayH5361inH5361disgustH5361.

29They willdealוְעָשׂ֨וּve.'a.SuH6213with you in hatredבְּשִׂנְאָ֗הbe.sin.'AhH8135,takeוְלָקְחוּ֙ve.la.ke.ChuH3947allכָּל־kol-H3605your propertyיְגִיעֵ֔ךְye.gi.'EkhH3018,and leaveוַעֲזָב֖וּךְva.'a.za.VukhH5800you nakedעֵירֹ֣ם'ei.RomH5903and bareוְעֶרְיָ֑הve.'er.YahH6181.And the nakednessעֶרְוַ֣ת'er.VatH6172of your prostitutionזְנוּנַ֔יִךְze.nu.Na.yikhH2183will be exposedוְנִגְלָה֙ve.nig.LahH1540,both your outrageousH2154sinH2154and your obsceneH8457practicesH8457.

30TheseH428thingsאֵ֖לֶּה'E.lehH428will be doneעָשֹׂ֥ה'a.SohH6213to you because you haveadulterouslyH2181pursuedH2181the nationsגוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471,becauseעַ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־'al 'a.Sher-H5921 H834you have defiledנִטְמֵ֖אתnit.MetH2930yourself with their idolsבְּגִלּוּלֵיהֶֽם׃be.gi.lu.lei.HemH1544.

31You have walkedהָלָ֑כְתְּha.La.khetH1980in the wayבְּדֶ֥רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870of your sisterאֲחוֹתֵ֖ךְ'a.cho.TekhH269;therefore I will putוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414her cupכוֹסָ֖הּkho.SahH3563in your handבְּיָדֵֽךְ׃ סbe.ya.DekhH3027.’
