14When the layerשִׁכְבַ֣תshikh.VatH7902of dewהַטָּ֑לha.TalH2919evaporatedוַתַּ֖עַלva.Ta.'alH5927,beholdוְהִנֵּ֞הve.hi.NehH2009, on thesurfaceפְּנֵ֤יpe.NeiH6440of the wildernessהַמִּדְבָּר֙ha.mid.BarH4057there was a fineדַּ֣קdakH1851flake-likeH2636thingH2636,fineדַּ֥קdakH1851as the frostכַּכְּפֹ֖רka.ke.ForH3713on the groundהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

15When the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478sawוַיִּרְא֣וּvai.yir.'UH7200it,they saidוַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559to oneאִ֤ישׁ'ishH376anotherאָחִיו֙'a.ChivH251, “Whatמָ֣ןmanH4478is it?” For they did not knowיָדְע֖וּya.de.'UH3045whatמַה־mah-H4100it was. And Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “It is the breadהַלֶּ֔חֶםha.Le.chemH3899whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068has givenנָתַ֧ןna.TanH5414you to eatלְאָכְלָֽה׃le.'okh.LahH402.

16Thisזֶ֤הzehH2088iswhatהַדָּבָר֙ha.da.VarH1697 H834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068has commandedצִוָּ֣הtzi.VahH6680: ‘Everyoneאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376gatherלִקְט֣וּlik.TuH3950as muchלְפִ֣יle.FiH6310as he will eatH398;you shall takeתִּקָּֽחוּ׃ti.Ka.chuH3947an omerעֹ֣מֶר'O.merH6016apieceלַגֻּלְגֹּ֗לֶתla.gul.Go.letH1538according to the numberמִסְפַּר֙mis.ParH4557of peopleנַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔םnaf.Sho.tei.KhemH5315eachאִ֛ישׁ'ishH376of you has in his tentבְּאָהֳל֖וֹbe.'o.ho.LoH168.’”

17The sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478didוַיַּעֲשׂוּ־vai.ya.'a.su-H6213soכֵ֖ןkhenH3651, and somegatheredוַֽיִּלְקְט֔וּvai.yil.ke.TuH3950muchהַמַּרְבֶּ֖הha.mar.BehH7235and somelittleוְהַמַּמְעִֽיט׃ve.ha.mam.'ItH4591.

18When they measuredוַיָּמֹ֣דּוּvai.ya.Mo.duH4058it by theomerבָעֹ֔מֶרva.'O.merH6016,the one who had gatheredH7235muchהַמַּרְבֶּ֔הha.mar.BehH7235did not haveH5736tooH5736muchH5736,and the one who had gatheredH4591littleוְהַמַּמְעִ֖יטve.ha.mam.'ItH4591did not haveH2637tooH2637littleH2637;everyoneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376gatheredלָקָֽטוּ׃la.Ka.tuH3950as muchלְפִֽי־le.fi-H6310as he would eatH398.
