22Wivesγυναῖκες,gunaikesG1135, subject yourselvesto your ownἰδίοιςidioisG2398husbandsἀνδράσινandrasinG435,as to the Lordκυρίῳ·kuriōG2962.

23Forthe husbandἀνήρanērG435is the headκεφαλὴkephalēG2776of the wifeγυναικὸςgunaikosG1135,as ChristΧριστὸςChristosG5547alsoκαὶkaiG2532is theheadκεφαλὴkephalēG2776of the churchἐκκλησίας,ekklēsiasG1577,He HimselfαὐτὸςautosG846beingthe SaviorσωτὴρsōtērG4990of the bodyσώματος·sōmatosG4983.
