Mark 8:29-36
29And He continued by questioningG1905 them, “But whoG5101 do you sayG3004 that I amG1510?” 1PeterG4074 answeredG611 and saidG3004 to Him, “You are 2the ChristG5547.” 30And 3He 4warnedG2008 them to tellG3004 noG3367 oneG3367 aboutG4012 Him.
315And He beganG757 to teachG1321 them that 6the SonG5207 of ManG444 mustG1163 sufferG3958 manyG4183 thingsG4183 and be rejectedG593 by the eldersG4245 and the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the scribesG1122, and be killedG615, and afterG3326 threeG5140 daysG2250 riseG450 againG450. 32And He was statingG2980 the matterG3056 7plainlyG3954. And PeterG4074 tookG4355 Him asideG4355 and beganG757 to rebukeG2008 Him. 33But turningG1994 aroundG1994 and seeingG3708 His disciplesG3101, He rebukedG2008 PeterG4074 and saidG3004, “GetG5217 behindG3694 Me, 8SatanG4567; for you are not settingG5426 your mindG5426 on 9God’sG2316 interests, but man’sG444.”
34And He summonedG4341 the crowdG3793 with His disciplesG3101, and saidG3004 to them, “IfG1487 anyoneG5100 wishesG2309 to comeG2064 afterG3694 Me, he must denyG533 himselfG1438, and 10takeG142 up his crossG4716 and followG190 Me. 35For 11whoeverG3739G1437 wishesG2309 to saveG4982 his 12lifeG5590 will loseG622 it, but whoeverG3739G302 losesG622 his 13lifeG5590 for My sakeG1752 and the gospel’sG2098 will saveG4982 it. 36For whatG5101 does it profitG5623 a manG444 to gainG2770 the wholeG3650 worldG2889, and forfeitG2210 his soulG5590?
