Luke 23:2-12
21And they beganG757 to accuseG2723 Him, sayingG3004, “We foundG2147 thisG3778 manG3778 2misleadingG1294 our nationG1484 and 3forbiddingG2967 to payG1325 taxesG5411 to CaesarG2541, and sayingG3004 that He HimselfG1438 is 4ChristG5547, a KingG935.” 3SoG1161 PilateG4091 askedG2065 Him, sayingG3004, “Are You the KingG935 of the JewsG2453?” And He answeredG611 him and saidG5346, “5It is as you sayG3004.” 4ThenG2532 PilateG4091 saidG3004 to the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the crowdsG3793, “6I findG2147 noG3762 guiltG159 in thisG3778 manG444.” 5But they kept on insistingG2001, sayingG3004, “He stirsG383 up the peopleG2992, teachingG1321 allG3650 overG2596 JudeaG2453, 7startingG757 from GalileeG1056 even as farG2193 as thisG5602 placeG5602.”
6WhenG1161 PilateG4091 heardG191 it, he askedG1905 whetherG1487 the manG444 was a GalileanG1057. 7And when he learnedG1921 that He belongedG1510G1537 to Herod’sG2264 jurisdictionG1849, he sentG375 Him to 8HerodG2264, who himselfG846 alsoG2532 was in JerusalemG2414 9at that timeG2250.
8NowG1161 HerodG2264 was veryG3029 gladG5463 when he sawG3708 JesusG2424; for 10he hadG1510 wantedG2309 to seeG3708 Him for a longG2425 timeG5550, becauseG1223 he had been hearingG191 aboutG4012 Him and was hopingG1679 to seeG3708 someG5100 11signG4592 performedG1096 by Him. 9And he questionedG1905 Him 12at someG2425 lengthG3056G2425; but 13He answeredG611 him nothingG3762. 10And the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the scribesG1122 were standingG2476 there, accusingG2723 Him vehementlyG2159. 11And HerodG2264 with his soldiersG4753, after treatingG1848 Him with contemptG1848 and mockingG1702 Him, 14dressedG4016 Him in a gorgeousG2986 robeG2066 and sentG375 Him backG375 to PilateG4091. 12NowG1161 15HerodG2264 and PilateG4091 becameG1096 friendsG5384 with oneG240 anotherG240 that veryG846 dayG2250; for beforeG4391 they had beenG4391G1510 enemiesG2189 with eachG848 otherG848.
