30As He spokeG2980 theseG3778 thingsG3778, 1manyG4183 came to believeG4100 in Him.

31SoG3767 JesusG2424 was sayingG3004 to thoseG3588 JewsG2453 who had believedG4100 Him, “2IfG1437 you continueG3306 in My wordG3056, then you are trulyG230 3disciplesG3101 of MineG1473; 32and 4you will knowG1097 the truthG225, and 5the truthG225 will makeG1659 you freeG1659.” 33They answeredG611 Him, “6We are Abraham’sG11 descendantsG4690 and have neverG3762 G4455 yetG4455 been enslavedG1398 to anyoneG3762; howG4459 is it that You sayG3004, ‘You will becomeG1096 freeG1658’?”

34JesusG2424 answeredG611 them, “TrulyG281, trulyG281, I sayG3004 to you, 7everyoneG3956 who commitsG4160 sinG266 is the slaveG1401 of sinG266. 35 8The slaveG1401 does not remainG3306 in the houseG3614 foreverG165; 9the sonG5207 does remainG3306 foreverG165. 36SoG3767 ifG1437 the SonG5207 10makesG1659 you freeG1659, you will be freeG1658 indeedG3689. 37I knowG3609 that you are 11Abraham’sG11 descendantsG4690; yetG235 12you seekG2212 to killG615 Me, becauseG3754 My wordG3056 13hasG5562 noG3756 placeG5562 in you. 38I speakG2980 the things whichG3739 I have seenG3708 14with My FatherG3962; thereforeG3767 you alsoG2532 doG4160 the things whichG3739 you heardG191 from 15your fatherG3962.”
