John 13:3-10

Jesus, 1knowingG3609 that the FatherG3962 had givenG1325 allG3956 thingsG3956 into His handsG5495, and that 2He had comeG1831 forthG1831 from GodG2316 and was goingG5217 backG5217 to GodG2316,

gotG1453 up from supperG1173, and laidG5087 asideG5087 His garmentsG2440; and takingG2983 a towelG3012, He 3girdedG1241 HimselfG1438.

ThenG1534 He pouredG906 waterG5204 into the basinG3537, and beganG757 to 4washG3538 the disciples’G3101 feetG4228 and to wipeG1591 them with the towelG3012 with whichG3739 He was girdedG1241.

SoG3767 He cameG2064 to SimonG4613 PeterG4074. He saidG3004 to Him, “LordG2962, do You washG3538 my feetG4228?”

JesusG2424 answeredG611 and saidG3004 to him, “WhatG3739 I doG4160 you do not realizeG3609 nowG737, but you will understandG1097 5hereafterG3326G3778.”

PeterG4074 saidG3004 to Him, “NeverG3756G3361 shall You washG3538 my feetG4228!” JesusG2424 answeredG611 him, “6IfG1437 I do not washG3538 you, 7you haveG2192 noG3756 partG3313 with Me.”

SimonG4613 PeterG4074 saidG3004 to Him, “LordG2962, then wash not onlyG3440 my feetG4228, but alsoG2532 my handsG5495 and my headG2776.”

JesusG2424 saidG3004 to him, “He who has bathedG3068 needsG5532 onlyG3756G1487G3361 to washG3538 his feetG4228, but is completelyG3650 cleanG2513; and 8you are cleanG2513, but not allG3956 of you.”
