Isaiah 5:7-17
7For the 1vineyardH3754 of the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 is the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 And the menH376 of JudahH3063 His delightfulH8191 plantH5194. Thus He lookedH6960 for justiceH4941, but beholdH2009, 2bloodshedH4939; For righteousnessH6666, but beholdH2009, a cryH6818 of distressH6818.
8WoeH1945 to those who 3addH5060 houseH1004 to houseH1004 and joinH7126 fieldH7704 to fieldH7704, UntilH5704 there is noH657 moreH657 roomH4725, So that you have to liveH3427 aloneH905 in the midstH7130 of the landH776!9In my earsH241 the LordH3068 of hostsH6635 has sworn, “SurelyH518H3808, 4manyH7227 housesH1004 shall becomeH1961 5desolateH8047, Even greatH1419 and fineH2896 onesH2896, withoutH369 occupantsH3427.10For 6tenH6235 acresH6776 of vineyardH3754 will yieldH6213 only oneH259 7bathH1324 of wine, And a 8homerH2563 of seedH2233 will yieldH6213 but an 9ephahH374 of grain.”11WoeH1945 to those who riseH7925 earlyH7925 in the morningH1242 that they may pursueH7291 10strongH7941 drinkH7941, Who stayH309 up lateH309 in the eveningH5399 that wineH3196 may inflameH1814 them!12Their banquetsH4960 are accompanied by lyreH3658 and 11harpH5035, by tambourineH8596 and fluteH2485, and by wineH3196; But they 12do not payH5027 attentionH5027 to the deedsH6467 of the LordH3068, NorH3808 do they considerH7200 the workH4639 of His handsH3027.
13ThereforeH3651 My peopleH5971 goH1540 into exileH1540 for their 13lackH1097 of knowledgeH1847; And 14their 15honorableH3519 menH4962 are famishedH7458, And their multitudeH1995 is parchedH6704 with thirstH6772.14ThereforeH3651 16SheolH7585 has enlargedH7337 its 17throatH5315 and openedH6473 its mouthH6310 withoutH1097 measureH2706; And 18Jerusalem’s splendorH1926, her multitudeH1995, her dinH7588 of revelry and the jubilantH5938 within her, descendH3381 into it.15So the common manH120 will be humbledH7817 and the manH376 of importance abasedH8213, 19The eyesH5869 of the proudH1364 also will be abasedH8213.16But the 20LordH3068 of hostsH6635 will be 21exaltedH1361 in judgmentH4941, And the holyH6918 GodH410 will showH6942 Himself 22holyH6942 in righteousnessH6666.1723Then the lambsH3532 will grazeH7462 as in their pastureH1699, And strangersH1481 will eatH398 in the wasteH2723 placesH2723 of the 24wealthyH4220.
